@1goryou have an expensive taste. Both and the retractable claw are the MOCs that took very long to get done. ...2 Weeks and even longer.

The other MOCs were done in a few days.

@MangaNOID Thank you for the kind words.

It had the agility of an ocean liner before the integration of sidecar steering. :sweet:

So entirely realistic then. Speaking as the former owner of a couple of outfits, and builder of one, in 1:1 scale (hence the handle).

@Captain Sidecar Oh no! didn't know that. Maybe that's the reason why we don't see them very often on the streets!?*huh*

It's not so much that they're not manoeuvrable as a whole, it's that most steering is done by throttle and body movement, rather than by the front wheel; techniques which obviously don't apply when pushing an unpowered model (or the real thing with a dead engine, for that matter) around.

Or maybe my outfits were just bad ones. The first one was certainly rather frightening in hindsight, now that I'm older and wiser. I was recently somewhat startled to discover that it still exists, 27 years after I sold it and, not entirely coincidentally, left the country.

Maybe it will outlive us. But at least you survived driving around with it!

I bet most of you know the Peel P50. Jeremy Clarkson used to drive it around the BBC office. Here is an alternate version for the Dump Truck. It comes with some sort of fake engine and steering, which is hard to reach to be honest. The build makes use of 161 pieces of the 42147 Dump Truck. No spare parts where used.
Pictures say more then a thousand words...

Find the build instruction on youtube or Ko-Fi($) And there are more than 30 additional alternates for the dump truck on my channel. Nearly all with feature.

Wow, that is really cool and something a bit different.

Thx!:pir-huzzah2:  Never expected to use the Dump Truck to build something "realistic".

P.S.: updated all photos in this thread. Noticed there where some broken links.
