Looks like fun! For category 3 digital models, what kind of backgrounds are acceptable?

Nothing too busy, the vehicle is the focus. A nice backdrop is fine for presentation but a whole extra MOC is a little beyond the category.

Just to be sure - is a building in category B meant to be situated in Europe or North America, so its architecure has this kind of European or North American style?

Good question. While thinking about this category, I also had to ask myself: where do the Adventurers actually live? We know Johnny is Australien, but I don’t think the others are, so I don’t think they’re in Australia. The German audio drama is set somewhere in Europe and I read somewhere that Dr. Kilroy works at a museum in London. These types of adventure stories do typically start in England (The Mummy comes to mind), so maybe that’s where they are. However, it’s probably kept intentionally vague so that it can be anywhere you want it to be. I’d love to hear others’ thoughts on this though.

Where will you public reults of this contest? On the frontpage?

Once the contest ends there is a voting period, then yes, the winners will be announced on the front page and in a Winners Thread.

I have everything ready for this Wednesday, August 9th, to reveal my two entries both for category C. I went all in with this one and now that I look at it I might have done beyond what expected, I hope the jury still finds admissible my entries. I feel like Castle, Pirates and Classic Space have got their official revivals with recent new sets but Adventurers hasn't. And with this contest and anniversary, I saw a really good opportunity to make special for us fans of the theme. :excited:

Here's a small teaser reel I just publish https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvozvObtS4E/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

I built a revamp of an old Adventurers set in July 2023 and shared pictures of it before I discovered this awesome contest. Am I allowed to enter it into Category A?

Nice builds, but shouldn’t the Cursed Race be 2 separate entries and Desert Secrets be a Category A entry since its main focus is a location, not a vehicle?

Putting it that way I guess so. But both are digital entries so they are only applicable to category C. Desert Secrets has a vehicle, a small one but still a vehicle nonetheless. In the Cursed Race the jury can choose which of the vehicles to choose from, both or one of them. I could not separate them because it would break the design concept and the story. This is why I wrote before that I went beyond and would leave it to the jury to decide if both entries would be admissible to the contest.

Hmmm. That was when my contest was running, so it should be fine as you shared it in the first place this year and during the contest time.

Yes, in my "universe" Johnny and the gang come from England. :innocent2:
