There might be some third-party companies that make stands like that - I know a few make minifigure stands, for instance, and I'm sure I've seen some with card backgrounds. Alternatively I think it wouldn't be too difficult to make a holder from bricks; either a frame similar to one of the current Christmas GWPs, or a thin gap between bricks or panels.

Or there's the nuclear option of poking some holes in the card and holding it with Technic axles, like some LEGO minifigure GWP stands had!

II hadn't seen that GWP, That could work by building a picture frame style build and leaving a gap for the card to go in a case.   Thanks for the reference.  

I have seen some of those customs, but I don't want to pay that kind of money with the scale I want to use, seems a bit excessive.  I also have not seen a small enough custom to store everything the way I would like to.  It would be cool if there was a custom out there similar to the mini figure packaging lego uses for the unique comic con give aways but with the back the size for the cards.  I would have dozens of those with the ccg card for whatever is not being actively displayed.

Also I would not like the nuclear option :) .  Although it would likely work fine, poking holes in the old cards would be sad for sure.

edit: I ended up doing standard card holders with acrylic as little display plaques next to each ship.  Looks cool and has a museum feel which is cool.

It really makes me want something for the minifigures though but like an old action figures pack scaled to fit the card and the minifigure in a small pack that can be stored that way.  Going to have to look around or attempt making some.  But the action figure pack with the card and the minifigure in the bottom right corner would be awesome.
