Posted May 30, 20231 yr I made this for a project where I accidentally built the axles 4 studs too wide on each side so with this I'm halfway there if i use this hub and the landrover rims. here's the link to the video Edited May 30, 20231 yr by Technic tango

May 30, 20231 yr Idea is good, but I'm afraid about sturdiness. Most probably, that design can be improved, made more rigid. maybe something under that u-joint could be put, so that it holds everything together

The only weak part is the drawback most custom hubs have: the actual connection point isnt restrained to slide off like a normal hub. Heres how im using the hub, the construction is exceedingly sturdy: So because its supported at the steering pivot, it doesnt need anything there cuz i left it to who is using it to design that part to their needs.
May 30, 20231 yr Nice design, have you used this for any length of time? Just curious about how robust it is, I understand that compromises must be made to reduce size but it looks like to me that heavy use will have some issues, not the least of cracked/broken parts.

Used it with 2 buggy motors and 2 buwizz with 15:1 gear ratio around my rock garden with no issues until the buwizz died
