I’m planning to get it tomorrow or Monday, I have 2800 points from Lego ready as discount, plus my bank is doing 10% cashback on Lego until Wednesday. I guess all the stars are aligned for this to pull the trigger. Now I just need to convince my lady that I need this 😅

Yes, that is correct. EOL December 2024.

Are there any official sources which state this?  Or is this merely fan deduction?

It's almost time for me to write a blog post: "Your last chance to buy 10320 Eldorado Fortress!"

All sources i checked say the same but i don't know if the date has been officially confirmed. But i'd say that people who want to get the set, they better get it in the next weeks. You never know how long the stock lasts.

StoneWars reports that the Eldorado Fortress minifigures are amongst the parts at Pick a Brick that will be EOL very soon. Last year the cut-off date was mid November. If you plan to get more of the Imperials or Pirates you better order them now.

I ordered some large imperial flags a month ago and they shipped them today. When I ordered the 6x4 imperial flag was listed as standard but now it is a bestseller piece. Have they moved the flags to Poland?

Yes, they expanded the warehouse in Poland and most (all?) standard pieces are available as bestseller pieces in Europe, Australia and New Zealand now (or will be soon when the transition is complete).

They where not planning to close it down last year, but then people where ordering like crazy and they had to do it. This year hopefully it is different with the move to bestseller since orders (expect NA) will not affect missing parts orders in Billund.

So am right in saying this set is set to retire at the end of this year?

Yes, you are correct - Brickset reports Dec 31st as the retire date, but it's basically remaining stock at this point. Get it while you can!

Thanks! I'll look out for it when I'm in the Lego shop on Thursday then. TBH this would have been easy day one but it didn't really wow me in the way I'd hoped it would, but I'd be gutted if it retired before I picked it up.

The cut-off date has been released and it will be December 3rd. If you want to order Imperial Soldiers or the big flag on PAB, you should do it now.

As per usual I'm nautical miles behind due to covering all the November 2024 releases...

Where was the cut-off date officially announced as December 3rd?

Thank ye, I did read that source which states:

"However, LEGO has now announced the actual EOL date for the individual parts as December 3rd."

So more precisely; my question is: where did the The LEGO Group state that?

And I specifically mean via their official communication channels (E.g. LEGO.com, the official LEGO Instagram account, etc.), not on an AFOL site or profile.

Strange that they remove the parts on a specific date. Maybe easier to do it this way, but some of those parts will have a huge stock in the warehouse I assume, so would make more sense to sell them out and remove them when they run out of stock..

They mean EOL life for those parts right not closing of PAB for the holidays? I hope they manage to stay open this year. I feel that they at least to me remove more interesting parts than they add to PAB now so that could mean less orders (IF the majority agrees with me, probably not the case:laugh:) on the other hand my last bestseller order is taking forever to ship so not a good sign :shrug_oh_well:

Not sure, but they have a lot of communications true LAN regarding PAB these days so that is a possibility :shrug_oh_well:

I don't know where the cut-off date was officially announced. Maybe it was via LAN like @Roebuck suggested, or they did ask Lego directly as they have very good connections. I just wanted to post it, so people can have a last chance to buy the imperial minifigs before they retire.

I believe this is because they need the spaces in the warehouse for other new parts. The new stuff for sale has to go somewhere so any remaining old stock of sales parts will presumably get sold off in bulk through those European warehouse type outlets.

How they handle the replacement parts (as opposed to sales), I don't know. It could be that they now keep the parts in stock for X number of months past the set retirement date and assume that anyone purchasing the set will have opened them by then, and reported any missing parts. Or maybe they keep a smaller stock of replacement parts where the standard parts were kept and so can fulfill missing or broken parts for a longer time.

As I understand it, replacement parts come from Billund, not from the PAB warehouse in Poland. While there appearantly is every intention to manage PAB orders from Poland, I reckon the warehouse in Denmark won't shut down (or not completely).

On 1.10.2024 I ordered some Imperial flags and other pieces from Pick a Brick. All were standard pieces and were supposed to be shipped from Billund. Yesterday (14.11.2024) I received all pieces from Poland (including the Imperial flags) except the trans neon green round 1x1 bricks, they are shipped separately from Billund and are on their way. After I ordered they have also changed the classification of all pieces except the round 1x1 brick from standard to bestseller. It is very interesting because trans neon green parabolic element Ø16 was shipped from Poland.

No, but they will probably only handle replacement parts etc in the future..

I wanted to know so I had an official source to quote in a future blog post.
