Hey everyone,

guess it's about time to join not only as a reader and provide some content, so, first of all, nice to meet you all:) After a pretty long 4 years' hiatus in building I finally came up with something, and it surely does feel great to be back in the game.

The TRD livery always had some special place in my heart - neither i own a Toyota nor am involved in racing (except by sitting on the coach and watching it on weekends, hah), but this colour combo just looks so pleasant. It all started with the triangular tiles forming the diagonal stripes on the sides, until I realized the thing was actually intended to be a technic, not a system model. Previously I usually went with only one of both styles at a time, but this time the livery was absolutely necessary, and using stickers is never the first option. So, the small styles' mashup took place, and it was really, really fun to bring the whole thing to life.

Since the completed model turned out to be 1.94kg heavy, the default C+ set of 2L+1M motors which was used has been pretty much struggling everywhere, so this MOC is rather a good dust collector than a truck trial competitor. Anyway, the building process itself was some great journey!

Wow, nice job! I don't think I've seen any Technic T100s before, and that race livery looks very nice! Overall the model just looks good and clean.

This looks fantastic, thanks for sharing ! I always loved this livery from the 90´s Tamyia catalogue, just couldn´t afford the set back in the days. You have replicated the stripes in a beatiful way ! Overall approach "from the other side" is kinda interesting to see as well. I have nothing against a shelf king made mostly of Technic parts if done this way. Please next time make sure to have a balanced working chassis.  Nevertheless, since we are in the Technic forum, it´s mandatory to ask about more details what´s underneath. How is it playable? No ultimate need for C+ btw., did you consider CaDA components as well such as micro motors?

Always super satisfying to see an awesome livery without any stickers! This looks amazing!

Detail, design level is really impressive, especially not using stickers for "paint job".

I also like the way You integrated those small wheel arches in front.

Great looking Toyota T100, as above - like the way the livery has been done without use of stickers. Headlight cluster is well done and fantastic use of the red ‘Hot Dogs’ for the spare tyre knock off! 👍🏼

I started the very same way on EB, 17 years ago, as a reader, then joined, then started posting, and then presenting MOCs :)
Anyway, glad to have you not just as a reader, but as a MOC presenter, too, especially with such a nice first post!

Frontpaged.

Wow, now that's a first post! Amazing! I love the brick-built livery and lack of any gaps in general.

This looks brilliant.  I also like the way that you have achieved the livery, and I like all of the details at the front and in the back of the truck.

Great job.

Great looking build, looks really nice, like others, I like the livery and all the details.

I'd also be curious about some technical features like drivetrain and suspension. For example, the front fenders look really tight around the wheels. Does it steer without getting stuck in the fenders? Those buggy tires get caught up really easily in anything around them..

Marvelous job SpaceHopper. It indeed has a lot of details, which is pleasant in "display" model. I see a lot of interesting angles here and there, which indicates effort put in the MOC. I would like to see this model on more pictures, maybe even "stripped" ones, haha. Thanks for showing it to us and hopefully this is not the last model that you present here, take care! :)

Best of the stadium/trophy trucks so far I think, this really is the smoothest use of technic peices with an actual shape I can remember seeing.

The subject matter is pretty cool too, back when you could actually look at owning a Toyota and still have some sort of trust of the other drivers on the road lol.
