It is probably inevitable, so there are no limitations for choosing the same set.

I look forward to any set double ups (including what I’m working on 👍) it will be very interesting to see different ways of completing the same objective.

also, are we allowed to use pullback motors?

in contest rules

Quote

Pullback Motor is permitted.

I think, You can crate more than one topic, but at the end You will need to choose one of them which You will post in entry topic, which then be judged.

Exactly. This is how we have done it in the past if I am not mistaken.

Reminds me of this TC22 entry of @artemisovsky, could have been a perfect entry for this contest!

Thank you for your kind words, but my TC22 entry does not conform to the rules of the current competition (different proportions, colors and functions than in the original set).

Thanks to Jim for organizing this contest. I was afraid it wouldn't happen due to some people started shrinking before the previous contest has ended. TC25 just started and there are already a lot of interesting entries.

I know it’s amazing how far some people have got with their builds so far. With work and life I’m still at the thinking which model I’m going to choose stage (although I think I know what it is now).

well the original 2001 bionics were technically (sorry for pun) technic so those are on the table

That's a good point, actually; @Jim, the first year of Bionicle sets (not to mention Slizers and Roboriders) were specifically branded as Technic. Can we assume those are out too?

Let's not do Bionicle, Slizers, Roboriders etc. It's not what we are looking for in this contest.

@Jim is it okay to use a sticker sheet from original set on the contest model? Or stickers in general. I vaguely remember there were contests with stickers in the rules, or my memory is at fault here...

Is it okay to have HOG steering instead of steering operated by steering wheel? I am shrinking by factor 2.7 and it is starting to get very tight. :sceptic:

Yeah sure. Those kind of modifications are definitely okay.

It’s TC25. You probably know the rules by now. So you know best. I’m just looking at a picture without additional information

hey everyone, I think these builds are going to look awesome and be a great collection of small dense builds so would any else be willing to share an LDD file or similar in the end for others to be able to build them?

Collect them all in one topic?

I would like to build many of these I think as this size and function density is what lots of us (I think) like.

Anyway just an idea.

I think I know the answer already but it doesn't hurt to ask so I'll just ask.

Now that I am on a desktop, I see the links in your signature. They weren't visible on mobile.

You indeed know the answer :sweet:

That is exactly what I am thinking, too. Plus many of us will have most parts available. So call me in.

I will definitely make instructions.

Also I asked few times in generic contest topic for a contest requirement of providing model for others to verify stuff. Not only because there's cool stuff being figured out, but also often photos often don't convey how sturdy or fragile the model is, and also there's potential room for "cheating" on the inside of models if there's no clear structural design verification, by doing some wacky connections that barely hold together.

Looking at other wip topics, I feel, that I need to shrink my shrinked wip :D

Exactly my thoughts! The other contestents seem to have a silent agreement on the wheel size of 18 mm :DD

Hello Jim,

could you clearify: what about wind-up motors? Are these 'allowed' in this contest?

Thanks

Yeah sure. Which one do you mean?

I see a great entry but for a set that was never released and sold. Is that allowed?
It seems it will get more attention that way. If allowed it's fine.
