1gor Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 It looks very good; as it is made as kind of combination with this year fire plane. Just one question - you probably don't have Cat dozer to put yellow 5 x 7 frames in rear part of cab? Quote

Thanks and well, not sure about that, I wouldn't tow such big plane on a flatbed :D 9 minutes ago, 1gor said: Just one question - you probably don't have Cat dozer to put yellow 5 x 7 frames in rear part of cab? The grey color is intentional here - the original model had the battery visible from the back of the cab and there was a top edge that was partially yellow, partially black which was holding the steering knob, but I built it slightly differently with more clear space for ergonomy. There are few parts I couldn't get in specific colors that would make it more obvious, like for example here the black thin liftarms within the frames should be dark grey to represent the battery cover, but I couldn't find it locally in this color. Also I couldn't get enough trans orange 1x1 tiles so there's a one imperfection in that top trans orange light with a 1x2 tile instead, and for some reason I couldn't get red liftrams 7L for the lever under the flatbed at the time I was placing orders. I hope the design is what counts because those are just small part sourcing issues. Quote
1gor Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 (edited) I understand why you choose light bluish gray frame. It us funny to tow firefigthing airplane; my idea is that this yruck could be part of team together with firefigthing aitlrplane, offroad vehicles for woods inspection etc... SaperPL Posted August 5, 2023 Author Posted August 5, 2023 (edited) Well, yeah, the color theme is something that fits some kind of special firefighting vehicles. EDIT: Btw, what's interesting with the original set is that the B-model has completely different vibe: Edited August 5, 2023 by SaperPL Quote
1gor Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 I remember that; dominates red color makes us think it is (from) another set... Hm...ao it means when I finish my (yellow) Fastrac, I should switch ho makong something red? Quote

I think I'm finished with the instruction. Managed to grab few openings to go through all of it. Will try to release the video and instructions tomorrow. Because I'm short on time recently, I didn't test this step by step physically building it, so proceed with caution, but I think the steps should make sense. Edited August 9, 2023 by SaperPL Quote

TechnicMOCer Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 (edited) I suppose tractor might be slightly too small, but they look very cool together Edited February 3, 2024 by TechnicMOCer Quote
DzieX Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Great topic. I'm working on flatbed truck MOC for 42042, because I bought it without container and was able to buy another, complete set, so I have two now. I'd like to implement this self lowering mechanism Quote
