Posted June 30, 20231 yr I would like to show you one of my models which I built for Czech Repubrick exhibition. I took inspiration from Landek coal mine in Ostrava but also from other mines in Czech Republic. Model has more than 400 LED lights, working elevators, train and walking coal miners with carts. There are also some easter eggs from movies and games, like Minecraft, Indiana Jones, Hobbit... I think that photos say more and I recommend visit this exhibition, because there are more beautiful and huge models. More about my models is on my Instagram
June 30, 20231 yr Jesus. Well done. Coal mines are such depressing places (I'm not inherently opposed to coal, it's just dirty stuff), but this is very bright and lively. Edited June 30, 20231 yr by LordsofMedieval
June 30, 20231 yr Makes me think of an old song about coal miners: "Sixteen Tons". This is just the refrain: "You load 16 tons, what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt St. Peter, don't you call me 'cause I can't go I owe my soul to the company store" Fantastic MOC, love the simultaneous realism and funny references!
June 30, 20231 yr Author Thank you, I don´t know this song, but we have similiar czech one, here is with English translation https://lyricstranslate.com/en/dole-v-dole-down-mines.html
June 30, 20231 yr This took some time and planning. What an amazing build, Love the use of LED's and all the character issues...
June 30, 20231 yr Author It took almost 1000 hours to design and build this model, I prepare whole model in Stud.io. I assume that most people here don´t know old Czech movie Parta Hic, here is photo of scene which I built
June 30, 20231 yr Amazing. How did you create the interior structure? Is it Lego throughout, or Lego built around a frame?
June 30, 20231 yr Author Everything is LEGO, except wood plate under model for easier transport and LED lights and electronics of course. I will upload timelapse video from build next week.
July 1, 20231 yr This looks fantastic. They did great work with the details and I love the easter eggs.
July 1, 20231 yr ABSolutely stunning! What an insane amount of bricks and all those nice details and stories... (good you clarified the Czech movie scene ). You do play Minecraft, don't you? I really look forward to your video. Thx for sharing your build.
July 1, 20231 yr Incredible. Jaw-dropping. I can't get my mouth shut again... This is the most awesome MOC I've seen for a very, very long time. How many parts does it have? And is there any chance to see some detail pictures of the train and that lovely little Tatra car?
July 1, 20231 yr Author Thank you for your possitive comments I used arround 150000 LEGO bricks and more than 400 individual LED lights and took me almost 1000 hours to build it. Here is Tatra and train T478.3101 "Brejlovec"
July 2, 20231 yr Is really impressive and the many little allusions invite you to discover! You probably have to see this live ;-) Thanks for introducing, is a great model 15 hours ago, Sven J said: How many parts does it have? all parts of the world.... ;-) Thomas
July 2, 20231 yr Holy cow, this is quite remarkable, as others have said. Really impressive, don't even know where to start, exemplary work. I have now made it my life's goal to see this in person, hopefully it doesn't get disassembled anytime soon. Thanks
July 3, 20231 yr This is incredible. The size of the whole thing, the detailing, absolutely fantastic work!!
July 5, 20231 yr What an absolute work of art! The thing that strikes me the most is the architecture of the large trellis with the spinning pulley. The locomotive is amazing, and the detailing of the elevator hall down to the mine is creepy! The numerous details such as fossils and cameo characters are beautiful ...impressive work!
July 5, 20231 yr Author Thank you for your possitive comments. Johnny1360 : Model will be on Czech Repubrick exhibition on Lipno at least next two months, than will be on other exhibitions in Czech Republic. Don´t worry, the model will not be disassembled And I recommend you to visit Czech Republic, it is nice country, you can check Youtube for most beautiful places ( for instance Český Krumlov is not far away from Lipno). And here is timelapse video
