Posted June 30, 20231 yr Hello, Today I'd like to introduce you to one of my creations, the 1928 Renault NN. Choice of model Being from the period after 2000, I've never actually seen a vehicle that would be old today. I draw my ideas from the vehicles my family may have owned, but also from what I discover around me. Whether it's at the bottom of a field, at meetings or, as here, in a (working!) dealership. Great, isn't it? This 1928 Renault is a rather well-preserved barn find. So I didn't wait long before embarking on the project of making a scale model. The model For the model, I obviously chose the thinner wheels, but also the smaller sizes (I hadn't had the 49.5x14 wheels yet). Note: I know there are thinner 1970 tyres, but these are not very aesthetic for wheels; I may look into a custom 3D print soon. Overall, most of the functions are carried over: -4 opening doors (independent) -opening bonnet with engine ( fake and simple) -removable soft top I chose not to include the rear hatch because of the lack of mechanisms to guarantee its solidity. I also didn't want to include steering. The model consist in 736 parts, which makes it a nice package who's not overloaded. the model can be built in several colours. For the last image, here is the prototype built with a Renault hobby set from the 70s. Thanks for looking, if you want more info or if you want to get the instructions it's on my Rebrickable : https://reb.li/m/131491 Don't hesitate to give your opinion, whether critical or constructive or whatever, I'll try to answer! June 30, 20231 yr I remember that 391 set; I was owerwhelmed when I got the it for Christmass. Very nice 1928 NN moc
July 2, 20231 yr Very nice, I like how you did the wheel arches. Did you already build it? The pictures are all rendered, right?
July 2, 20231 yr A number of smart ideas have been incorporated. For example, the hinges for the back doors. <Joking mode on> The wheels are nice and wide. Good that there were already first tuning attempts in 1928. <Joking mode off> No seriously - This is a really nice and well designed model.

Thank you very much, I've built it (without the right colours). You can see it on the last image. 4 hours ago, pow said: A number of smart ideas have been incorporated. Thank you very much, I can't wait for lego to diversify the tyres!
