Athos Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Got tired of waiting for Lego to make more buildings to line Market Street, so I built two of my own. They're take-offs of the model town house set (http://guide.lugnet.com/set/4954), from where almost all the parts came. I was trying to get some buildings that were shorter than Cafe Corner and Green Grocer, but taller than the Market Street Alleyway, as I thought the drop was too severe to be really aesthetically pleasing. Eilif Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Nice to see more market street compatible modules. I like your building style. The streetscape is nice also. Almost makes me wish I hadn't torn down cafe corner and Market street to make MOCs. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 That's a nice street you have there, very nice colors and building styles! I also like the difference in heights, did you know that in New York they sell the airspace above low buildings for a fortune? Quote
Athos Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 did you know that in New York they sell the airspace above low buildings for a fortune? No. What do they use it for? Steve Quote
Fatespuppet Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 No. What do they use it for? They build more buildings of course. Check out the Citigroup Center. It is built over small church. I've tried building some additional buildings to go with my Market Street sets. I'll try to get some pics up soon. I really hope Lego keeps bringing these out. They are incredible models and actually draw more attention from people visiting then the giant UCS Star Destroyer. Quote
Siegfried Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Looking good, and they work together well too. I also like the difference in heights, did you know that in New York they sell the airspace above low buildings for a fortune? I was quite surprised when I first heard that! Quote
darkrebellion Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Very nice job Athos . I really the pic of all the buildings together and you do a really great job in both buildings especially in the detail of the tall one . Quote
