Eighth, they lost to farmers and Natives thirty-something years later

Ninteth, the they still think they that they won

And finally.

Tenth, They still believe that war is the way to go. :pir-laugh:

My blue coats are Americans! You know, those guys with pitchforks and shovels that beat your amazing red coats?

Well as an American I certainly can't fault you for that...I don't do that just because other than the revolution we were such a small factor on the seas during the age of sail and I like to have a somewhat loose tie in to history.

So I guess if I am understanding you correctly using this same logic it would be incorrect for the Western European Allies of WWII to claim that they won the war? :pir-tongue: I for one don't have a problem if the French and others who supported America over Britain want to put the American Revolution in their win column as well. Works for me either way as my family history traces back to both sides of that conflict :pir-classic:

That is the whole reason the reds had to leave the US.

"The British seized a Dutch merchant convoy sailing under Dutch naval escort in December 1779. Britain responded to this decision by declaring war on the Dutch in December 1780, sparking the Fourth Anglo-Dutch War. The war was a military and economic disaster for the Dutch Republic. Paralyzed by internal political divisions, it was unable to effectively respond to British blockades of its coast and the capture of many of its colonies. In the 1784 peace treaty between the two nations, the Dutch lost the Indian port of Negapatam and were forced to make trade concessions."

What was that? :pir-wink:

Well, You must admit that the Americans still say "We won WW2" They alone didnt win it. We say "The Allies won WW2"

Now, Speaking of the American Revolution:

I would actually say, And I cant believe Im saying this. France won the War.

Since America had to borrow much of french supplies, French ships, French Guns, French Uniforms.

France showed up in the end game, once the Colonies had already established themselves as a military power. What of the War of 1812? When the British and Americans were truly toe to toe, and again the British were beat. But this time, it was much more naval, and much more embarrassing to the proud British.

That wasn't embarassing.

"Despite all this, Britain did win quite a few sea battles, which depressed American morale. Also, Britain imposed an effective blockade of the United States and captured many U.S. merchant ships. The Royal Navy had been able to deploy overwhelming strength to American waters, annihilating rather than merely denting American maritime trade. After the war the Royal Navy made some changes to its practices in construction and gunnery, but did not change its methods of manning the fleet."

Also During the war a total of 12,260 American soldiers and sailors were killed. The war cost the United States about $200 million.

And The British suffered 5,000 killed or wounded soldiers and sailors in the war.

Also, what about the embarrassing defeat of Fort Madison? You were destroyed by Indians.

"Before they could escape they were killed and horribly mangled by the savages."

What about the Battle of Lake Erie? With Superior ships, numbers, and the weathe gauge you still lost?

Oh well, American had two wars with Britian and won BOTH. Excuses are only used when they suit you I assume.

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER.

Grilled, not fried please.

In the Battle, Our best ship was built before this war, And you copied our design. If you hadn't copied, You would have lost miserably.

And also, You show the same thing I was talking about "Oh well, American had two wars with Britian and won BOTH."

Firstly, Its called America, I really thought a citizen of the country would know its name given that they try to debate two wars about how "American" won...

Secondly, We already said how America did not win the war on their own.

Wish to be a V.O.C. member, but that isn't a option at the moment yet. So I guess that will have to wait :pir-tongue:
