Crazydance Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 *cries tears of joy* think it will be around 60 euro's seeing that the ferris wheel seems of roughly the same value. good price for a amazing set. now a lot of 32*32 baseplates and some of the new city farms and we have a typically dutch scene.. the_lego_dude Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 That is SSSSOOOOOOO Sexy! I want one, look at all those shiney new white pieces, I personally have a large shortage of good condition white pieces. Anyway, this set is amazing, I hope it wont be to pricey. Quote
Getsome Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Can't wait for the set to come out! My wife and I built a copy of it using the instructions from Brickshelf. Didnt turn out too bad. Need to get a motor and light set for it. Enjoy! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=337162 Quote

Don't really like the colors, but as for looks it appeared as if it was just in other colors. I'm still building a white one! with different styles... hell maybe i'll make more of them and give them a cutom theme... or i can just change themes. you know there are more electrical companies than vestas :) Quote
bullet8542 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Sweet nice work I love it, How long did it take you? And BTW nice Lego sewing machine does it work???????? Can't wait for the set to come out! My wife and I built a copy of it using the instructions from Brickshelf. Didnt turn out too bad. Getsome Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Thanks! Took about 6 hours to build, but most of that time was just searching for pieces. Helped having my wife build the bottem half too. The sewing machine doesnt really like Lego lol ... Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 It's a 2009 set, according to the huge list that was just leaked. That means it's officially going to be sold to all! Follow the link from the pirates list on the frontpage... Since I was 1,5 week in holidays I regrettably missed this list . So the amazing 4999 Vestas Wind Power Plant set was on that list and will be for sale in 2009? - That would be totally awesome! Klaus-Dieter Quote

So the amazing 4999 Vestas Wind Power Plant set was on that list and will be for sale in 2009? - That would be totally awesome! Klaus-Dieter list was confirmed as rumoured but a crazy 100% accuracy in the sets that ARE going to be released. i bet it will be a Q3 or Q4 2009 city set, when they are switching more to the country side with the farms. the reason for waiting with the wind mill is because they don't have more sets to group it with. you got city, city construction, city farm sets... and a windmill... doesn't make sense to me... hopefully they'll think about a power splitting station, and those really ugly power lines. Dr. Brick Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 The list said 'Vestas Product', but I think Vestas only makes one item. Dr. Brick Quote
Crazydance Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 The list said 'Vestas Product', but I think Vestas only makes one item. Dr. Brick i know, but few of the items were not in the images, AND if it was the full 2008 list, it would have stated the new train sets. so if it's for Q1 and Q2 the vestas mill will not appear. the first chance you will get to get your windmill is Q3 2009.. if it comes out. Gouns Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 A friend ask to lego if the set will be released for us and Lego has wrote : ( It's in french ) Cher Mr ******, Nous vous remercions de votre courrier. Bien cordialement ! ********* ********* LEGO Direct Lego say the set will not be released to us FOR THE MOMENT , the set is only for Vestas . Sorry for my English Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Thank you very much for that information, Gouns! i know, but few of the items were not in the images, AND if it was the full 2008 list, it would have stated the new train sets.so if it's for Q1 and Q2 the vestas mill will not appear. the first chance you will get to get your windmill is Q3 2009.. if it comes out. I regrettably have to disagree, Crazydance. I fact that there was a Vestas set mentioned on the list - but no trains - argues for that it'll be release in the first half of 2009. And that would make in my opinion sense, too, since it would be a perfect addition to the new great Farm theme. And when you compare the box arts of the 4999 and the farm sets you must agree that they're very similar. To pit it in a nutshell I must say that I expect this/a Vestas set (if the list is (in this point) hopefully right) in the first half of 2009 - either in January (like the awesome 10188 Town Plan this year) or in late spring (like the last Maersk set which was a promo set, too). But of course nobody can know - perhaps you're right, too. Klaus-Dieter Quote

ProducePrincess Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 17,000 people exept me get the best lego set ever. good news for ebay fans though Quote
metalandi Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I find it kinda unfair that only employees get it, who mostly won't need it, while real lego fans like us will have to pay horror prices on ebay for it. Quote
DJ Force Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 If 17.000 items show up on ebay, the prices won´t be THAT high, I assume.. Even if several people at Vestas are AFOLs themselves and keeping the set, there should still be enough sets to pop up on ebay. Quote
Guss Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Im keeping mine!! your keeping yours to give it to me for my birthday ? ohhh that's really gentle! what ? at least I tried... BTw, I think the same than Dj force, soon we will be able to find some Vestas set not so expensive. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Thank you very much for that information, slusho! And by the way: Welcome to Eurobricks, slusho! I find it kinda unfair that only employees get it, who mostly won't need it, while real lego fans like us will have to pay horror prices on ebay for it. I totally agree with you, metalandi! It's very unfair that there are on the one side people which are aible to get this set - even if they aren't interested in Lego or perhaps even not intrested in this set - and on the other side there are real Lego fans like us which really, really want this amazing set but can't afford it because the prices on ebay are utopian. slusho! Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I totally agree that its unfair that its not going to be released for general sale, alot of the people that i work with have no interest what so ever in the company let alone lego! and if they do put it up on e-bay you might get one for a reasonable price as they havent a clue what they are worth. I'll be giving mine to my 5 year old,i remember how much i loved lego when i was young so it only seems right that he should have it and not to sell it on. We have around 1,300 employees where i work, the rest will be given out all over europe so it will be worth checking out all the other e-bay sites in italy,germany,denmark,china...etc...like i said ill let you know when we recive ours in the uk.
