Shoc Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I have that bag and it is indeed old. maybe not ancient, but a few years at least. My gf got me lego from the legoland cali. and it came in that bag, but that was in 2006. I wouldn't think of 2 years ago as 'old' hehe. Anyway, the same general bag design has been used at Legoland Windsor from 1996, when it opened, (Billund may have used it before then) to present day, and Lego Pirates were around in '96. :skull: Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 While the age of the bag design doesn't make it as intriguing, the fact images of classic TLC Pirates keep appearing in official artwork in conjunction with numerous statements from TLC employees regarding the high esteem the company has for the Pirate line speaks volumes. It's nothing concrete, but where there's smoke, you only rarely find dry ice. Fingers crossed illustrations like this and those Arizona figs mean what we all want them to! badger Quote
Norrington Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 It's nothing concrete, but where there's smoke, you only rarely find dry ice. Duh. That's because dry ice only makes fog. Though honestly, this probably doesn't mean anything. The pirates are allways on something or other. The LEGO store at the Mall of America (close to where I live) has coffe cups. They've been sold there I as long as I remember. They have been redisigned more than once, and all incarnations have Capt. Redbeard on them. But it also has forestmen, cowboys, etc. Quote
