Seeing as the Ignika is returning with Mata Nui for 2009, I'm really putting my hopes on a Gold Igninka for the Summer Canister Mata Nui set. Sure, it's not a new mask, but most who know that it isn't will know how cool it's powers are, so they shouldn't mind. :pir-cry_happy:

On the universe map, it's basically showing Mata Nui's arms, chest and head right?

I figure since Bionicle was brought in with a nice, shiny, chrome silver Hau... it'd be cool to bring Glatorian in with a nice, shiny, chrome gold Ignika.

Wishful thinking? Oh yes, for masks are now made of mushier stuff. Chrome might not adhere right.

It's just I'm REALLY sick of either shiny bright copper "gold" and burnt olive "gold".

Bleh...

Hi, a few quick questions:

1. Will 2009 take place over a longer period of time than the last few years? I think personally that the 2006-2008 stories have all been squeezed in a bit too tightly and things seemed a bit hectic. With this new beginning, though, I think it would be really cool to have a storyline that lasts about a month or so. Then there's lots of room and things won't feel rushed.

2. Were the blade-burrowers made to carve out the Three Virtues Map by a being of Bara Magna?

2a. If not, perhaps a Great Being?

3. Would the Brotherhood of Makuta be classified as a defunct organization now, like the Hand of Artakha or League of Six Kingdoms, or will it be continue to exist, managed by non-Makuta that Teridax will employ? (To help keep the Matoran and other races in line, for example.)

4. Now that he's the universe, how will Makuta make Kraata and Rahkshi? Will he just make them sprout up and come into existence wherever he pleases? Out of the ground?

1) Probably a couple months

2) No

2a) Yes

3) No, it's gone

4) Well, he is still antidermis, so he can still make kraata the same way he did before, and he knows where all the EP in the universe is now.

I wonder is having opposing tribes like this will make the fans all fight each other. Supporters of the Rock Tribe Vs. Supporters of the Jungle Tribe, etc. Lots of flaming and such.

Well taking this one as canon Mata Nui seems to be a tad on the fat side not to mention an anatomical horror - his heart appears to be located where his bum ought to be.

I wouldn't mind a clear, original Hau, to represent the Spectral Hau.

Yeah. I like the design and basis. And I haven't bought any sets with the warblade, so this could be a chance. The way it's used actually looks good in the hand like that.

And as for the Strakk armor, that can be solved with a single tiny piece.

But how can you see the heads behind the masks? I can't see anything…

The Glatorian, especially in those pictures, look like they are wearing helmets rather than masks. To me at least. Either way they are super cool. :thumbup: Nice find.

Meh, those pictures do no justice whatsoever for the sets. They all look like thrown together, horribly posed MOCs in them.

I'm still in anticipation for Strakk, though. He remains to be awesome as always.

Thanks for those, it has made me change opinions on Tarix, made Gresh cooler, and Malum looks awesome. I think that the woirst posed sets here are Skrall and Strakk...

EDIT: You're the one that found those seeing the folder isn't public, right? Where did those come from? <-Forget it, thanks for saving the new Target pictures before they were wiped out :)

WHOA.

Dude, suddenly, I like Malum a lot more... I thought he was alright before, but something just changed. And has anyone noticed that the patetrn on Skrall's sheild attaches to the buzzsaw piece from that Exo-Force mech (Assult Tiger of whatever)? So we have a new pattern piece... hm, not sure how you can use that in Moc's, but someone will find a way.

And Strakk still remains at the top for his sheer awesome. =P

Edit: Oh, and for whoever theorized that a hordika brain held on Tarix's launcher - you're right. =)

Second Edit: And I just noticed that, if you look at Malum's pic, you can see a little of how the heads are attached.
