Ikki o' Moopyville Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I vote for a Bionicle game in classic 90s platform style, much like the Mata Nui-esque Donald Duck in Cold Shadow seen above. -Ikk
Antrozek Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 i do vote for a game with this: *Explore Bara Magna *Month by Month there is a place update or a new challenge *Fighting like old 2D games
hewkii9 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 (edited) I say we find a disgruntled Runescape employee who can give us the game code, and then we just switch some names around to avoid litigation and confused children. Or maybe just a well-thought-out platformer. Edited November 23, 2008 by hewkii9
~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Please, no terrible, terrible Runescape.
Bundalings Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 That would be interesting, and would probably work a lot better than in the normal Bionicle universe - but Lego seems to have shied away from RTS style games since Rockraiders (and I can see why - I don't think it was that popular with the target audience at all, although it seems to be a cult classic among older lego fans). It might be interesting to see a game like that online though - they've already mada a game for Mars Mission that has a surprising amount of similarities to the Command and Conquer games. Ick, I hated the RR game. So boring. I vote for a Bionicle game in classic 90s platform style, much like the Mata Nui-esque Donald Duck in Cold Shadow seen above. -Ikk Yeah, Lego NEEDS MOAR PLATFORMER ~Bunda
Mizzeh Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 (edited) Okay, so I was reading the OGD and - 4. I've heard it said that romance is possible in Bara Magna, but won't appear in the story. Does this mean that inhabitants of Bara Magna reproduce like humans?4) Not something we have discussed as a story team at this point. o.o This may mean that Lego really did make hands for a reason.. xD Edited November 24, 2008 by Mizzeh
hewkii9 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 (edited) This may mean that Lego really did make hands for a reason.. xD I think I heard this joke before... No, it means that Mata Nui and Skrall [being a she] will have a torrid and steamy affair. Lego finally made proper hands for a reason ya kno' ...Oh right that's where. Dun worry arbitur, it's all gon be k*. No hard feelings. *little Arby and the Chief reference for ya there Edited November 24, 2008 by hewkii9
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 XD at hands. It may also mean they are organic, though for the story to match the sets, the Bara Magnians would at least have to wear exo-skeletons of some sort. Actually, that would be a fantastically cool thing. ^_^ -Ikk

Actually, that would be a fantastically cool thing. ^_^ -Ikk My thought was that the 'Bone-collector' Glatorian wear the skeleton's of creatures they hunt. Hence the name. However, I'm no longer sure since Greg said Vorox is not a bone collector.
Clonie Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 That's 'cause Tuma leads the rock tribe, not the sand tribe. Black is rock, tan is sand. So Skrall and Atakus are assumedly bone hunters.
---Vertea--- Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 How many "bones" did you find today? depends on the context of that question XD! And Greg said that the bone-hunters are villains, but not all villains are bone-hunters. I think Tuma's group have one title and the bone-hunters are their own evil faction. On another note, I'm glad to see the decals of Skrall's shield are 3-d and not stickers. I will definitely get him for parts if nothing else.
Bfahome Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Wait, what?~Bunda Malum's feet are red Hordika feet. His shoulder armor is Kalmah feet. I figure a quick switcheroo would work out both ways.
---Vertea--- Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Malum's feet are red Hordika feet. His shoulder armor is Kalmah feet.I figure a quick switcheroo would work out both ways. I personally think the shoulder armour is fine either way, but would be even better if it were attatched on the side like inika shoulder armour instead of the front where they snag on the torso part. I think that the Kalmah fins would not do so swell as his feet-perhaps metru red Mata feet?
Brickthing Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Shouldn't the new video be up soon? Should be. It's almost the end of Monday for me.
Wrinkledlion X Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I asked Greg a question a while ago, and this was the conversation: 1. A while ago I asked you about it, but you said you couldn't give an answer at the time, so I'm asking about it again: Might I suggest as an explanation for Kini-Nui crumbling in the video that, while the pillars weren't retracted, the tunnel in the center was? Then, whenever Mata Nui lands somewhere, new pillars form around the tunnel as a part of his camouflage system. 1) Why would the tunnel have needed to be retracted? It doesn't come above the surface of the island. 1. I'm having difficulty explaining what I mean, so allow me to use a diagram. Is the tunnel directly beneath the temple itself a part of the Great Spirit's body (As in diagram A), or is it just a tunnel carved into the stone layer on top, with a hole in the Great Spirit's body at the bottom (As in Diagram B )? If A, I was thinking that the way it would work would be that the tunnel (Really more of a tube in the image) would retract into his body before getting up, and only the pillars surrounding it would collapse- Along with the rest of the landscape grown by his camouflage systems. Then, once he lands somewhere and lies down again, the tube/tunnel comes out and the landscape and pillars are regrown around it. 1) It is a part of his body. Have you read Bink's explanation of what Kini Nui is yet? No one in the OGD has been able to find the explanation, including myself. So are the pillars formed around the tunnel by the camouflage system? That's probably because I didn't publish it yet... it was a conversation I had with Greg. But here it is; I'll also post it in the forums. The Kini Nui was an integral part of Mata Nui’s face, built by the Great Beings, but used more as a “probe” than anything. When he fell over, it was extended to rest on the camouflaged layer of dirt and rock above his face. It kept MN’s consciousness informed of surface conditions and provided a safe route for the Matoran and Toa to access his exterior as needed. If the re-start of Mata Nui had been done in proper sequence, the Kini Nui would’ve been retracted back into its slot on MN’s face. But since the Nuva had to jump-start his heart with the Ignika, non-essential systems were bypassed and it was essentially jettisoned – kind of like the escape tower on the Apollo capsules after they’ve reached escape velocity. - Bink Can it be regrown, though? It seems like it would still be pretty useful. (Also, uh, I kinda liked Kini-Nui... It's rather iconic, so it might be a bit of a loss if it's gone forever...) It would make sense that there was more than one Kini Nui able to be created. - Bink Phew. I was worried there for a second. Good to hear that Kini-Nui's not gone forever.
Brickthing Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 That conversation seems to offer that Mata Nui goes to sleep during observation doesn't it?
~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 It's up. LOL at Takanuva's blog. 4 days later and they're almost all wiped out.
Phantoka_Chirox Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 The new movie is creepy Mata Nui's eyse is redz
---Vertea--- Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I liked it. short but sweet. and the blog was really creepy while remaining uninformative.
Zarathos Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Yep. Liking the new blog entry. It's our first look into the MU post-Makuta victory. ..gonna be some compelling stories a'coming -Z
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 (edited) www.bioniclestory.com now has the all the videos in one uncut, narrated version! Despite their individual brevity they together make for a smashing closure to this saga. =D Well done, Ghost & Bink. Also, DID6 is up... seems like The Makuta is gaining control of his new shape. -Ikk Edited November 24, 2008 by Ikki o' Moopyville

That final animation was cool, though I wish there had been like a two-second flash of 2009 at the very end. DiD was also pretty good. Each serial has about three chapters left-chapters in which we see a world ruled by Makuta.
