---Vertea--- Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I'm curious if the two sand-based sets for the Winter 08 line are supposed to be of the same species? And if so, does this mean that creatures on Bara Magna grow in the normal fashion? Or even if they are not, do Agori, Glatorian, and all the others still go through life cycles?I'm assuming we're still not going to do actual reproduction, but I'm also guessing having these creatures go from children to adult is no longer taboo. Is this the case? 2009 is all turning out to be very interesting, I'm eager to start learning more about it. 1) No, they are not same species. Zesk were once Agori, like the other villagers, albeit physically a bit different -- and Vorox more like other Glatorian. Post-disaster, they regressed and have become little more than beasts. 2) I really haven't decided how new beings come into being, but no, that is no longer taboo. In fact, it is established in story early on that Gresh is considerably younger than some of the other Glatorian. and 1. Is there a reason why Mata Nui ended up lying face-up on the EO, like he was looking at something with his back turned to the EO when the Great Cataclysm struck?2. Are the Bone Hunters a species, or just a group of individuals comprised of members of various other species? 3. Is there a pluralized form of Glatorian? 4a. I think you said that the Rock tribe has the most Glatorian, is this right? 4b. Is this because every Skrall has to fight? 4c. Can you be a Glatorian Species member, but not fight as a Glatorian? 4d. Are the Zesk and Vorox species more abundant because they have a larger environment to live in? 4e. If 4a, 4b, and 4c are all correct, could I assume that there are many Vorox that do not fight as a Glatorian? Thanks for your time, hope I'm not too confusing -K 1) He wasn't standing on the EO planet when the GC "struck." He was flying through space, and his crashing into the EO planet is what caused the GC. 2) I consider them a related species to the rock tribe 3) Glatorian 4a) Yes 4b) Basically, they all have the ability to fight. They are warriors, first and foremost. 4c) Yes 4d) I don't think it has to do with their environment, no. 4e) Vorox normally do not, because they don't follow the same social structure the other tribes do -- Vorox are not much more than beasts at this point. There is an arena they fight in at times, but not by choice, and it doesn't belong to them.
Wrinkledlion X Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 i think that i found a little good info of our favourite treasure Hunter Tarduk:AMAZON TARDUK Tarduk knows life is hard for his jungle tribe, but he sees that as just one more challenge to overcome. He uses his powerful claws and sharp spikes to defend himself as he searches the sands for ancient artifacts and lost treasures. * Treasure hunter of the wastelands * Fully articulated limbs allow you to pose your jungle element Agori BIONICLE for work, battle or display * Send him into battle with his allied Glatorian No.8980 Gresh * Measures over 4" tall * 17 pieces That's just a lie.
---Vertea--- Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 (edited) poop... stupid computer Edited December 8, 2008 by ---Vertea---
ShaddowCroc Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I think the Vorox and Zesk are gonna be like Lions, and other beasts the Romans threw into Gladiator battles. . . Which is AWESOME.

---Vertea--- Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 (edited) Godammit Vertea. Sorry... Damn thing wouldn't load right... I'll get on deleting that. EDIT: Lookie!!!! Profiles for Malum and Gresh are up!!! http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-8980-Lego-Gresh/dp/B001LF3SSY http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-8979-Malum/dp/B001LF3SSO Edited December 8, 2008 by ---Vertea---
The Dor Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Okay, yeah, Malum wins. Gresh seems pretty cool too, although they ent into detail with his signature move. That's a little odd. I'm still a little peeved at stores in general. Lying over the phone. The shame. There still aren't any Glatorian out, despite what they say to me. :(

You say "A blue Bionicle named Tarix" and they're like "yeah there's a blue lego." Sooooo... I wouldn't be to harsh on them. Think of all the things you know nothing about. ~Bunda

I'm still a little peeved at stores in general. Lying over the phone. The shame. There still aren't any Glatorian out, despite what they say to me. :( I wouldn't be surprised. The stores rarely know their products unless it's something "popular" or something like that. And even still. If you ask for Glatorian the answer is always yes regardless. The only semi-reliable way to check is by going to the store and seeing with ones own eyes. But even THEN, it might be a situation like I had with Mistika where the came on shelves only hours after I had left he store.. But now that the three profiles are up on Amazon... mybe the chances of a sighting are just a tad higher. I certainly hope more profiles follow. seems kind of odd that Gresh and Tarduk are released(info-wise) and Malum is missing his Raanu. Of course, Raanu could resent him. I like the idea that these guys are their own world with each tribe. I mean, The Vorox and Zesk devolving and the Skrall keeping to themselves... This looks very promising.
Zarathos Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I'm digging the term vine mask. Just sounds cool to me for some reason. Malum seems a bit more interesting to me now. -Z

Bfahome Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Battle fiercely with his flame-claws, fire mask, shoulder armor and functional Thornax launcher wtf
Bundalings Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I can see it: Malum charging people and ramming them with his shoulders. It's probably just Amazon being weird, but w/e. ~Bunda

The Alchemyst Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Dang. Malum is a punk badass. And does anyone remember how Greg said that Kanohi would play a key part in 2009? And now he says that the masks don't have powers? o.O Maybe they find masks of power? And have Glatorian Battles for them? While Tuma tries to take them for personal gain to control Bara Magna? And the Bone Hunter Desert Land Pirates come up to take them? ... If true... THAT'S EPIC. [-The Alchemyst-]
Wrinkledlion X Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 And does anyone remember how Greg said that Kanohi would play a key part in 2009? [-The Alchemyst-] *Psssst* Kanohi Ignika...
The Alchemyst Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 *Psssst*Kanohi Ignika... But since Mata Nui is in it, isn't it assumed that Mata Nui will be wearing it? And Mata Nui won't have Ignika's powers, I'm pretty sure. [-The Alchemyst-]
Wrinkledlion X Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Outside of the MU I don't believe it has full power, but there are quotes that seem to indicate that it has some. Hi, Greg! I just read the topic over here and I'm astounded by how awesome 2009 is sounding. This is probably the first time since 2004 that I've actually been excited for the projectiles. Anyways, two things: 1. First, he claims that the books are five pounds. Uhh... I'm assuming he means pounds as in money, right? 2. Secondly, I'm assuming, based on the ending of BIONICLE Legends 11, that Mata Nui will create a body for himself and either be a canister or titan set. I was thinking (And I normally wouldn't be quite so blatant, but I thought it was an awesome idea) that maybe, what with him being one with the Ignika, wherever Mata Nui steps little plants and vines might sprout up. It's a bit more specific than the sort of stuff I usually suggest, but I'm just throwing it out there. It'd be cool. (Have you ever seen the movie Princess Mononoke? It would be kind of like that.) 1) He must. 2) The Ignika will do some interesting things, though not that ... but it will do interesting things.
Brickthing Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Seeing as Mata Nui's gonna be a canister set, I'd imagine that his life powers would seriously be toned down, otherwise he'd own the other Glatorian. I'm hoping that they use the excuse that the Ignika's powers are severely weakened outside the MU, and that most of the life powers go into Mata Nui maintaining his body. I would love it if Mata Nui could do Zaktan's protodite swarm move, but that's probably hoping for too much.
JINZONINGEN73 Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Maybe they find masks of power? That Tarduk digs up. "Y helo thar, Mr. Ignika." 2) The Ignika will do some interesting things, though not that ... but it will do interesting things. Liiiike turning bad people good and or handing powers to the currently powerless masks. See? Greg's not lying that their masks are powerless... but it's probably going to be Mata Nui choosing whose he wants to make "interesting".
~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Waitaminute. I though Greg said that it was a deal that Gresh was significantly younger then the others, is he still as experienced as it says?
