Bionicle 2009 Images and Discussion

[Ikki o' Moopyville]

Some advice for those of you who have the Bionicle Heroes soundtrack -- by suggestion of HOTC, the Reidak themes are ideal for Bara Magna, especially Reidak's Desert Low (surprise XD).

The whole wasteland feel 2009 this map conveys is immense. And I love the UDD compass!

Seems like The Shattering affected larger parts of the cosmos. I'm thinking either rains of Energized Protodermis or a rain of Great Spirits. =D

AAAND, he have a new torso that is NOT a inika torso, it looks lke a bit, but it ISN'T a Inika torso

It's an Inika torso with a Krika/Onua chest plate.

Bummer, I was hoping for a Piraka torso. :P

My comical version of because the year of Mata Nui's creation and Bara Magna's disaster they coincide:

When the Great beings created Mata Nui in Bara Magna, they seized the jungles and the whole water of the planet and put it inside Mata Nui provoking an ecological disaster.

And certainly megablocking the life to all the Bara Magnians.

Then, Mata Nui abandoned the Planet and go to the Farewell space with two Glatorian in his Brain.

HOW HE DON'T NOTICED THAT 2 GLATORIAN WAS IN HIS BRAIN DANMIT!?

in other words: WTH!ª!! XDXD

Had a thought... "The Three that must be One, the Two that must make the One."

Could the Two be Mata Nui and the possibly dead Great Spirit on Bara Magna? Provided there's just one there of course.

Aye, I thought of that after posting this... basically, it could go something like this.

Mata Nui discovers remnants of dead Great Spirit on Bara Magna. Following the defeat of Tuma he initiates the reconstruction of the fragmented being, instructing the Agori and Glatorian in assembling the parts. Then somehow MN's spirit possesses that new body and he soars off to find Makuta. Along the way he learns of the Three that must be One and somehow the Two Great Spirits stop The Shattering and Meld back together Spherus Magna.

Then, to end the Reign of Shadows once and for all, Mata Nui battles the Makuta and kills him, sending his body onto the nearest planet. Jaller uses the Ignika to revive the Makuta GS body, but before Makuta's spirit can return, Takanuva, equipped with an Iden, enters the brain core chamber beneath Metru Nui. With the Toa Nuva awakening the body, Takakuva becomes the third Great Spirit and the ruler of light in the Matoran universe.

That'd actually be pretty epic, but I like the idea of Teridax and Mata Nui being on the same side. Then everything would be revealed to have been controlled by an even greater, more mysterious enemy. Perhaps the being that orchestrated "The Shattering". But Takanuva becoming the next Great Spirit of the MU would definitely be awesome. Especially since Greg's hinted that he has a greater destiny.

I like it, especially Takanuva becoming a Great Spirit.. The only problem is that Makuta wouldn't help Mata Nui even if it ment his destruction. He has too much pride to be able to do that.

What's sad is that the Glatorian spread is all cheap CG... why can't Lego use real sets for they're images like they do with other lines?

Say, is this Toa Mata Nui? (cut from the scans) He looks like it, comparing this figure to the canister image from earlier... I seem to recognize the shape of the Ignika here...

So it seems, Mata and Iggy hang out with in the wildy with the Zesks and Voroxs, Maybe he is tryinhg to free them from cruelty?

I love the map... very cool... reminds me of that map of Mata Nui from ages past that I looooost... ;_;

At first I thought Mata Nui's lower body armor was a Metru chest, but now I think it looks like a Slizer foot... I can't tell, though.

• It has Onua/Krika armor

• It has the short double-joint connectors used in its arms, and possibly its legs

• It has Matoro Mahri shoulder armor on its thighs

• It has a Throwbot foot around the hip area

• It has something over its ankles

Zesk is really cool, not so sure on Berix. Don't have him yet. I'd suggest Zesk.

Just got Zesk and Metus from a buddy. They're pretty neat, although Metus is a bit boring. His shield is awesome though, so it kinda makes up for it.

And anyone who says Mats uses something other than an Inika torso is wrong. It is pretty apparent that it is, w/ Onua / Krika armor. Srsly.
