Bundalings Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 (edited) Hey wait there's no action features. <:(There'd better be some pretty beet stuff in summer Edited August 23, 2008 by Bundalings
S-N Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Well, all the sets are smaller... and only Icarax of last year's smaller sets had a feature. And those little game thiniges should count for somethings... ~Bunda Board game perhaps?
Bfahome Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 (edited) But they don't look like they'd make for very thrilling battles. "I will destroy you!" "Oh yeah? Let's spin this little top thing to find out!" Edited August 23, 2008 by Bfahome
Bundalings Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Board game perhaps? They're hit counters. Starting at 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, death. I guess you loose a life point every time one of the spore things hits you. It's like ranged 2001. =P ~Bunda

Bfahome Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 But they don't look like they'd make for very thrilling battles."I will destroy you!" "Oh yeah? Let's spin this little top thing to find out!" That.
Bundalings Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 That. Uhhh... that's not what I said. What you're saying is it's random, right? O_o ~Bunda

Bfahome Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 That's actually kinda intriguing… a simple spin will decide their fate. lol total shift of opinion
Pencoin Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Erm guys you do know those gear things attach to the sets don't you? Look at Tuma... .
Bfahome Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 They probably attach for convenience. Look at Strakk's back.
Pencoin Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 I think they attach to there backs right, and when you fire the spiky at one you move the counter on the back until they die, i think. Sounds fun .
Bfahome Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Nah, I think they're like spinning tops. To rate the "damage" done.
Bundalings Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 (edited) And hey, it's gear-shaped.Woo. The piece is one of the small sprockets from one of the new tread sets. : ) I think they attach to there backs right, and when you fire the spiky at one you move the counter on the back until they die, i think. Sounds fun . EXACTLY. That's what I've been trying to say, but you guyses aren't getting it. Like ActionClix. ~Bunda Edit: I'm pretty sure you're wrong Bfa. I mean, where's the thing that says how much damage they'd take? Also, how would you choose the amount of life to take off? And "Counter Of Life" doesn't really sound like a "spin to find the damage dealt" type thing. Seems more like something that tells you how much life one has. Edited August 23, 2008 by Bundalings
Bfahome Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 The piece is one of the small sprockets from one of the new tread sets. : )EXACTLY. That's what I've been trying to say, but you guyses aren't getting it. Like ActionClix. ~Bunda wate wut Oh I see. It's slightly less cool now. :/ But one could make a top out of it…
Pencoin Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Bundalings, I guess great minds think alike, I agree with you. Man This reminds me of the begining of the year when i joined EB looking for Bionicle pictures, smart move I think .
JINZONINGEN73 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 The DorYou guys need to remember the point of BIONICLE... Figures. Not creative builds. Cool lookin' armor is important, but as a figure, IMO, the articulation and range of motion are what matter most. So most of these... especially Malum it seems... ugh... would be difficult to move at all, and aside from initial impact and a little cool factor, bleh. Same. I look at (all) Bionicle sets not as action figures, but as armor accessory packs. Even their weapons are rarely used by me as weapons. Any of you old enough to remember Saint Seiya? You had an action figure that had MEGA-poseability , and they came with a set of shiny diecast metal armor that, when configured cleverly (usually with the aid of a blank, undetailed core shape underneath), it'd make like animals and stuff. Then you could disassemble the armor creation and put it all over the action figure. That's how I look at these new sets too, cleverly configured armor merely meant to resemble an action figure. Except there is no action figure, I have to make that. And that's the hard part, where the "building" comes in, not in just taking a set, swapping out a part and changing a color or two to add a point of mobility or to "fix" Lego's last-minute cost-cutting errors.
~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Ooh, Saint Seiya. I like Busou Shinki more. Lolis are my thing^_^
Pencoin Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Wow Saint Seiya, these new Bionicles seem to remind everyone of old toy lines don't they? .
iLego94 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Hey, The chinese blog that used to have the set list has put it down and passed it off as speculation. Was the list speculative or is the blog guy just full of Vahki? ~iLego
Phantoka_Chirox Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 These remind me of Robriders Skrall and Atakus <3
