I wonder who the mysterious Skrall-wannabe is? I think the new artist is AMAZING.

Fero?

Also that comic made Strakk more awesome.

They were also more civilized than I thought they would be…

… with a few exceptions. :P

Wow, pretty snazzy.

It's dynamic, and I love it.

Love this new guy, he has style, and he fits the feeling of rush of the battles of '09 well.

Guessing the guy in the shadows is Atakus.

We can rule out the other Glatorian [except Malum, but the guy in the shadows looks shorter than the Skrall, so Malum is oof too]

Zesk

Tuma

Probably Fero, because of the Dialogue.

Skirmix. :P

Berix, why would he want Tajun destroyed?

So that leaves us with:

Atakus, Raanu [Doubt it], Metus [Possibly? But he has Blue Eyes] and Tarduk.

My money is on the first.

Or a new character?

Makuta wasn't embodied for a couple years.

But he was represented.

The Rahi, the masks, and etc.

Plus we already have a villain for the story.

Oh, and interesting how Malum befriended Vorox.

I like how Berix got saved by Gresh, reminded me of Matoro and Kopaka in the first comic.

Good part about new universe -- it's hard to figure out the mysteries.

That comic was great. Everything that was going on was really mysterious and odd. And the Glatorian's characterizations were great, too. It really made me like Strakk, too. His line about seeing Gresh's guts was awesome. He's definitely gonna be the first Glatorian I get. And I never pegged any of the Glatorians as friends, but evidently those three "travel together". Damn, 2009 is gonna be awesome.

Exactly. A free-for-all and a traveling group built in easily makes 2009 one of the best.

Also, I think Malum rules the Vorox. Sheer amazingness.

Well, BZPower's piece of shit server is keeping me from seeing the comic, but I'm intrigued.

EDIT: Yay, it works now. That comic was unusually good. Some of the lines are still cheesy, but that's to be expected, and the general storyline is a huge improvement. Rather than having six "classes" of characters all working together against another six, we have different ideas behind each one. Three are working together, one is an outcast, one is an antagonist, and one is just a beast. I love it!

Who, Tuma? He doesn't seem like the long-term villain type to me.

This is a beautiful village. Its huge fortress-qualities remind me of Ta-Koro, but awesomer.

Not to mention the Great Spirit head that ominously looms there.

(Anyone think that the technology in there might be why the Skrall always win?)

Possible. I'm hoping there's a ruinous sideways double of Metru Nui in there. That would be cool.

And an interesting couple of quotes in the OGD:

Was there ever a prototype of Mata Nui?

Not something I can discuss, as it is pretty much filed under "Great Being topics"

3) Did the great beings create any other "great-spirit-like" things, something that could rival Mata Nui?

3) No, not that I know of

Is it possible that there are/were other beings of this type/ general design made by others that aren't Great Beings?

Thanks!

No.

What about slightly smaller versions with a different purpose?

Relative size or purpose is irrelevant -- you asked a direct question, if anything else like a Mata Nui-type being was made by someone other than the GBs, answer's no.

So have the Great Beings created anything else that would fall under the category?

BTW: Sorry to keep bugging you, I swear this is the last question on it. :P

I'm not splitting hairs or weasel wording you -- the simple answer is no.

This is BIONICLE. The thing that BIONICLE is known best for (Besides the toys, and the storyline, and everything else.) is unexpected, sometimes nonsensical twists. I'm sure that's what this "Rua Nui" is gonna be revealed as.

can someone post scans here please im not allowed on bzpower because it gave my aunts computer a virus

It ain't BZP mang, it's something screwed up on your machine.

It's a prototype MN I'd bet, I remember one being mentioned.

New comic AND DID9? What a morning!

DID was pretty much nothing but dullness, though, nothing new revealed, just more babble about the scale of evil of Makuta's plan...

The comic, however, was great. The dynamic and and the charismatic postures reminded me of the old Dragon Ball manga, a long-time favorite of mine. The variety of the plot and the many different scenarios were great, even if the flow of the story was somewhat disrupted by the incessant explaining of stuff in the dialogue. The characters were better developed than I had dared hope, and Strakk and Tarix were drawn with such life I can't help but love them now -- plus we have non-set villagers again! Also, finally, we get something I have missed since the days of Metru Nui: a mysterious villain behind the scenes! I love Bara Magna.
