MercenaryXero Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 So I was in target today, and the Lego aisle was... well, it wasn't there. A couple of Star Wars sets and a power miners one, on top of a pile of unrelated crap. And I was kinda hoping to get Zesk :/

Bundalings Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Or maybe just after Christmas outages? Hmm? One reason I'm not waiting for Glatorian to get here. I ordered mine. ~Bunda
Zarathos Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Or maybe just after Christmas outages? Hmm?One reason I'm not waiting for Glatorian to get here. I ordered mine. ~Bunda I think I'll order mine in the next two days. Really hard deciding which I want.... -Z
JINZONINGEN73 Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I like my NES clone, and a good 'ol Apple II emulator the best :)~iLego94 I'm more of an arcade MAME kind of guy, myself. In fact, I'm about to play an old game called Zookeeper, perhaps washed down with a night of Truxton. Anyway, no moar console warz plz... the shit can get downright circular n go on for PAGES. And, you know, it just turns into this for 95% of the people wanting to read of Lego and Bionicle. Hell, rabidly discussing why you think Lego should have a Code Lyoko line is more on topic. MercenaryXero Posted Yesterday, 11:09 PM So I was in target today, and the Lego aisle was... well, it wasn't there. A couple of Star Wars sets and a power miners one, on top of a pile of unrelated crap. Yeah, the ol' xmas WIPE OUT syndrome. I hope the Walmart here has the new junk when I go there tomorrow. I COULD order them online, but... I dunno'... I'm weird like that. Not getting my hopes up though. They got Mistika in, they had everyone else, but the Krika slot was eternally empty. The toy aisle chick even verified that they weren't selling out, they just never came lol.
Can Calyx Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 My Toys'r'us, which had the Glatorian on December 13th (including Tuma), was completely sold out of almost every bionicle set aside from an entire two shelves of Mahri. Terrible sets anyway, but if they ever marked Hahli down to $5, I'd grab her.
Chef Hatchet Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Went to a few places today. Walmart:Had all titans and vehicles from 08, and Onua Mistika. ONE Onua. Nothing else Bionicle-wise. TRU:About a dozen Mistika, some Rockoh T3s, an Axalara T9, A bunch of Takanuvas, And maybe six Glatorian- Five Tarix, one Gresh. No Agori. I got Tarix and the last Gresh. They're both awesome. Target: PATHETIC. Just a PILE of Star Wars, Spongebob, Pirates, and Power Miners. No Bionicle AT ALL. ..I need to find Agori. Berix and Metus are flippin' awesome. So, if you have any questions regarding Tarix and/or Gresh, ask me. Tarix is awesome, IMO. Gresh isn't as bad as he seems, but the prototype was MUCH better. I was really pissed to find out that you can't put a + rod all the way through the slot in the new hands. They're still decent, however. By the way, it seems that the blue on Tarix's weapons is GiTD.
dviddy Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Gresh looks way better than Tarix. That's because he is. By a lot. Tarix is, in my opinion, the worst of the new 2009 canister sets. He's so boring, his weapons really blow, and the random blue throw into his Metru blue colourscheme is sort of WTF-inducing.

And that is a very bad thing. Gresh looks freaking awesome. GREAT aesthetics, and thats what's most important.
Refia Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Meh, if you think you guys' shops are bad, it's worse here in Belgium. Never, ever, did I see Rockoh T3 or Axalara T9 or Takanuva ANYWHERE in ANY shop. Jetrax all you want, but the rest? Nope. And for Toa Ignika, I had to search 6 months before I found him in a little corner in a shop. Maxilos and Spinax? I had to wait until 2008 before I found them in shops. And I bet you either Tuma or Fero&Skirmix will be nowhere to be found as well. Finally I just gave up and decided to order my sets online. I got Takanuva that way, and had him within 5 days. That's service. Really, it seems like Bionicle is dissapearing everywhere in this stupid little country. =/

I had to order Takanuva, but I got him almost instantly (my dad had to go back to our house anyways for things he forgot :P ) I hate TRU, when I went there, the store looked like it had blown up, thankfully I found the non blown up endcap with the Glats (titans were somewhere else I guess, thats why I don't have Tuma yet :( ) I would buy online, but I'm currently blowing money on movies and games, so the Glats will wait. ~iLego94
Can Calyx Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I like Tarix more than Gresh, in pretty much every way. Mostly that damn claw-as-armor stuff...
Pencoin Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Nothing round here yet, checking on saturday though.

However, I personally love that his weapons are so unique, I really like his mask, and he has some decent parts. Also, if he was like the Mistika, he'd be almost all silver, would have no melee weapons, and would have a mask that looked like a dark hunter.
Lord Thrawn Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Take heart Pencoin, the Glatorian and Agori are in the LEGO stoes if you can get to one, and you might be able to call them and see if they can deliver. Or get them from LEGO online. I settled for Raanu today, very cool little guy. Never had an Av-Matoran so its quite novel.
Pencoin Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 No LEGO stores in miles! And I can only buy exclusives from S@H, due to the over-priced sets and expensive shipping. I just have to go every week and hope that they have them.
Shakar Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 MoD's review of Strakk. Hmm, is it just me or the review over the Member Review Database was better than this? The new comic was really good. Loved the characters, and the colourist did a better job than usual. Also, gotta love Strakk- he'll probably be my first Glatorian. Shakar
iLego94 Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Does anyone have the comic? I wanted to know if the size is still the same (length wise) ~iLego94
---Vertea--- Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 (edited) http://shop.lego.com/ByCatalog/onlinecat.aspx?c=32 Go to the Glatorian page. Once there, zoom in on the life counter image in the tiny circle at the bottom of the page. This is our first glimpse at Ackar! See the orange Inika armor and red body? And the mask? Compare with the images we got and BLAMMO! EDIT: Looking at the Ackar mask and comparing it to Berix's mask, I find that they are the same. It would appear that our summer friends will have winter masks in other colors!!!! YES!!! Though new masks would be cool, I think we will be getting half and half. Half new masks, half recoloured winter masks Edited December 30, 2008 by ---Vertea---

Pencoin Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 (edited) But won't Mata-Nui have magic Iggy? Hmm, maybe the shadowed version appears in the rumored warrior set, and the canister set is further transformation? Anyway, well done Vertea! Oh, I mis-read, I think you are right about 3&3 though. Can anyone guess what Stronius mask is, if you are right. Edited December 30, 2008 by Pencoin
ShaddowCroc Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 That's odd. I wonder why LEGO would use a summer set as an example? Maybe this year they know that they can't hide much because of the movie. I remember seeing Vahki pics in late '03. And then the Visorak were revealed really early, too.
