iLego94 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Neither can I!!!!!! Bink said a new teaser (for the arena) is due in a week. I have no clue if this is before or after the update. ~iLego94
Pencoin Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I hope 810 Codes are used to unlock characters/parts, if this game is what I think it will be.
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I hope for a game that'll go by the title of Boink The Bink. XD -Ikk
Chef Hatchet Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I really hope to see clearer pictures of the Summer canister sets soon, some of them look interesting. I'm curious about that Metus shield on Gelu.
Pencoin Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I'd rather got Cenodx pictures then clearer pictures.
Antrozek Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 in the middle of january will got all summer sets pictures from a Catalog like we got the Glatorian Pictures
iLego94 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 The problem is that the pics are clear, they are just zoomed up way to much. Unless LEGO makes bigger pics, we'll have to wait until someone else scan the pics (and LEGO pretends to be mad :P ) BTW, how the heck did that Final Countdown video ever get leaked?? No way some random person just found that file, and how could you put that up by accident?? ~iLego94
Bundalings Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Hey Guys- Bink on his favorite animation:I assume the site will update then :) ~iLego94 Aww... Bink likes the flash animations too. =3 (My internet sucked, so each loading screen took hours.) Same here. I only got through Ga Koro before I gave up on dial-up. DX ~Bunda
Hydrobius Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 in the middle of january will got all summer sets pictures from a Catalog like we got the Glatorian Pictures It's only the first day of 2009, yet we;re already 300 pages into this topic... last year's didn't even come CLOSE. :P Personally, I just want to see Skopio and Thornatus, with emphasis on the former. If Skopio turned out to be this 120$ Giant Scorpian with an alternate Vorox on his back, and colored brown or tan just to boot... I'd die. Literally. xD A giant, Morbuzahk-themed plan would be nice for the latter as well... as people have said before, a mother root for all the thronax would be sweet. If it could somehow launch them with an organic-varient of the Thornax Launcher... *Blinks* Anyone have any idea on price for the larger sets? (Cendox, Baranus, Skopio, etc.)
Zarkan Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 The Piraka characters still annoy me, but 2006 was really a love-hate year for me. On one side, we had fantastic tropes such as the treasure hunt for life, the desolate and somewhat spooky island, and the Matoran resistance. On the other hand, the characters were just trying too hard to break the mold in many places -- the Piraka were basically nothing but snide remarks, Dalu was a pain, and Velika's cool riddles were totally ruined by Garan. Still, folks such as Piruk and Balta as well as the interaction of Axonn and Brutaka provided both new and deep personality types. As far as sets go, the canister ones mostly sucked, with the exception of transparency and Piraka colors. The villagers and A & B were terrific, though. 2006 remains very hard to decide on. -Ikk I've always understood the divide over the Piraka - but honestly, I like them. Sure, they're not exactly the most organized or powerful villians (and don't bring up the victories over the Toa Nuva - it was clearly shown that the the Piraka were just lucky), but I feel that having villains that are more boast and less power adds variety. Not every villain has to be this "super incredible force of nightmares" like the Bohrok, Kal, Rahkshi, Makuta, and others were. Besides, I personally found the Piraka's bickering hilarious. As for Dalu and Velika, I don't understand why you dislike them or think they were ruined. Sure, Dalu was arrogant and self centered, but she showed that not every Ga-Matoran is all nice and peaceful. And how did Garan ruin Velika's riddles? To me, he helped Velika's appearance - if headn't explained what he was saying, than Velika would have come off as nothing more than a nutter without any real sense. Garan showed that Velika was in fact one of the wisest Matoran on Voya-Nui, if you got past the language barrier. As for the sets - Personally, I felt that the Piraka were great sets that didn't completely work out (most notably the useless spines), but they had a lot of originality and looked plain beastly. The Inika were not great, I can concede, but I felt that Hewkii, Matoro, and Nuparu were at least decent. Still, I totally agree that the Matoran, Axonn, and Brutaka were way better. However, I'd also add Vezon and Fenrakk to the list, as it's one of my favorite titans.
Wrinkledlion X Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Really, I agree with Grevious on the Piraka and Voyatoran. The first half of 2006 was extremely good, in my opinion. The Voyatoran have been my favorite group of Matoran characters since 2001. They were quite charming. Also, about an Agori-centric story: I heard you mention that you hadn't decided yet what the serials would be for next year (Besides the MU one), so I just wanted to ask what you thought about writing one that focuses on the Agori themselves and their villages. Back in 2001-2003 one of the things that helped us to get so acquainted with the characters and location was that, while the main story focused solely on the Toa, the internet always involved the adventures of the Matoran. And with a location as new as this one, I think it would be very beneficial to have a serial that focuses on the villagers. Thoughts? Definitely worth considering, W.
Bundalings Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Like I said the first time you posted it, I hate you. In a good way. ~Bunda

As I recall, Greg (or Bink, can't remember, it was so long ago) said that somebody accidentally burned Final Countdown on special CD with videos that they sent to Amazon. Do you think it was a coincidence?))
iLego94 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I remember dial-up (I missed out on MNOLG, due to slow load times, and I was about 6, so I didn't like waiting). I love that old sound: Ahh, I used to play online with our Mac Performa, and then we got a high tech new "iMac" with a free DVD of Bug's Life (DVD was new, especially to computers). Thank god for OS X Leopard :) BTW Gunnar, ask Greg to do a cover of "Don't Stop Believing", he might agree XD~iLego94
Brickthing Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Wow, I come back from 1 week of holiday and I find 3 story updates, 1 new comic, no Taka blog updates and 20+ new pages of this topic to read through. I especially love the map of Bara Magna, which smashed GS parts all over. It seems that GSs have a habit of crashing into planets, and this GS wasn't as lucky in that his planet was hard, unlike Mata Nui's water planet. I'm positive that the GS landing on Bara Magna was the Cataclysm of Bara Magna, 100,000 years ago. Probably also what caused the GBs to build a new GS, MN. What I don't understand, is how you can crash into a planet. They're so megablocking big and easy to see, so why can't you try going around the planet instead? I also like the BiA update where Mazeka decides to bring the good Teridax to the real universe. Chances are though, that Greg's just gonna have The Makuta kill Teridax without a single thought. I didn't like the DiD or DW updates as much though. In this DW, we learnt nothing new, other than that the Bohrok will shortly commit mass suicide by trying to clean The Makuta's face from space. ( ) In DiD, Miserix's death was too cartoony, and Teridax attempted a failed joke through his method of killing. Making the Hagah crazy is almost as bad as killing them. Brutaka, Axon, Keetongu and Helryx's fates were good though. I think Teridax was wrong in saying that Mata Nui had no companion - Mata Nui had two Glatorian didn't he? (Only I think Mata Nui forgot to feed them )
iLego94 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Or maybe he ate them and Helryx shoved them into Metru Nui's foundation :P I'm still confused that Greg denies that there is a GS in the Bara Magna sands. ~iLego94

(Only I think Mata Nui forgot to feed them ) Well, you don't have to feel bad about Miserix, man, he ain't dead - it's all an illusion conjured up by Teridax. It's so convincing that even Miserix himself thinks it's real... he's alive, but is pretty much robbed of all of his senses. Greg sprung that on everyone the day it came out (when asked); I thought he made it clear that NO Makuta would be alive at the end of 08, other than Terry? ...then again, Miserix is the best of all of them IMO, so who am I to be complaining. xD
Wrinkledlion X Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 God, I hate that dial-up sound. I never used dial-up for the MNOLG, and the only time I did use it was on my grandpa's old computer. It bugged me so much. And I'm pretty sure it's not properly a Great Spirit if Greg's denying it.

Bundalings Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I really hope Greg doesn't introduce any of this alt. dimension crap to Bara Magna. It's kind of getting on my nerves. However, the BiA alt. Spherus Magna was cool... ~Bunda
Bundalings Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 It's just a prototype, I'm sure. What? ~Bunda
Antrozek Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 o think that just is only a big statue that when the disaster ocurred. tje statue falled and brokened in parts for all Bara Magna
