iLego94 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 ... stupid how? That there is the Map referred. =P-Ikk I was stupid, thinking there was a map on the site that I missed :P ~iLego94
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Come to think of it -- did you hear official word that the EOP is a BM moon or was that just a guess, Pencoin? =P -Ikk
Brickthing Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 "There are xx known tribes of Agori" - That's got to be the worst typo of six I've seen in a while. So now we know that Bara Magna is the centre dot, and the EO is one of the smaller dots. I presume that we'll visit the last dot/planet in future BIONICLE years before we return to the MU. I just wonder what the last planet will be like? I'm presuming it would be either a fire or ice planet, as we've had water, air and rock settings in BIONICLE years so far, and an underground planet doesn't make sense, and the fire or ice element could easily be the third part of spherus magna that is missing.
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 The whole thing does not make much sense, though -- how are three celestial bodies supposed to join? Maybe by EP, but most importantly: why? Why did the Great Beings not just ship off all the Spherus Magnans in Mata Nui and request him find a new inhabitable planet? It honestly makes little sense to go through that much trouble just to rebuild a planet when there are so many others out there. =| Also, I wonder what the Map Crusts are... -Ikk
Bundalings Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 (edited) Love the update. <3 Bara Magna. I saw a few mistakes though... There are xx known tribes of Agori: From the Agori story page. While the world of Glatorian is a dangerous one, there are certain they are expected to follow in the arena. Should say there are certain -rules-. And is it just me or does Skrall's blurb make no sense? I fear no one - and care even less about you. ??? And I wish Vorox said something along the lines of... Grahahawrar! ~Bunda Edited January 6, 2009 by Bundalings
Pencoin Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Oh man, I need to make a thornax stew for this Zesk but it needs 15 Thornaxs...man... Do you want me to write a walk-through in another topic?
Algernon Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Nothing's more depressing than imagining the fearsome Glatorian uttering such cheesy lines.
S-N Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Nothing's more depressing than imagining the fearsome Glatorian uttering such cheesy lines. Bionicle is aimed at mostly 8 year old kids. Therefore the cheesy lines. This might be only for the advertisements, I really doubt any of those lines will actually be in the book and comics.
Pencoin Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I don't think the 'age group' even likes the chessyness, here in England it would be more for younger kids. Bionicle actually sells more to younger kids anyway though...
Brickthing Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I was reading BiA 8 and 9 again to try and figure out some 2009 stuff. Greg is known for not putting too much unnecessary tidbits into the serials otherwise he may work himself into a catch, so I think a lot of these could be interpreted as references to future storyline. So here are a few ideas I'm throwing out. Please comment on them. On the plan to stop The Shattering: "I guess the Great Beings rejected their first few ideas, whatever it was," I think this is a reference to the difference in the real Universe and the SM Alt, in which the GBs rejected the idea of making Mata Nui as a solution to the EP War, and used the Toa powered Matoran instead. On Gali's canoe business and travels: "I hear she’s been as far south as the mountains, but not much past that. I don’t think there’s much beyond the peaks worth seeing." If this is on the original planet of Spherus Magna, then this suggests why GBs and Bara Magnians never saw each other, because of this mountain range dividing them. Possibly the Black Spike Mountains from this BIONICLE.com quote: "It’s not clear if anyone now lives in the heavily volcanic region beyond the Black Spike Mountains." On the GB's knowledge of SM: "They know this world better than anyone, from the Great Sea to the Northern Frost." Is the Great Sea now what is the EO planet? If it could be, then "the Northern Frost" could have been what is now the third BIONICLE planet on the map, yes?
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Pencoin, still curious -- did I miss where it said the EOP was a Bara Magnan moon? It does make sense, but I don't see it referenced anywhere. =P -Ikk
Pencoin Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Nope, but you can't say it doesn't hit you in the face. It all adds up into awsome.
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Aye, sure does... I guess the oval shapes were how the bodies looked right after the Shattering, before gravitational forces had made them fully spherical. Makes one thing odd though -- was Bara Magna the name of a region of Spherus Magna before the Shattering, since the name was inscribed in Mata Nui's mind? -Ikk

Makes one thing odd though -- was Bara Magna the name of a region of Spherus Magna before the Shattering, since the name was inscribed in Mata Nui's mind?-Ikk Probably, as most of the inhabitants and buildings of Bara Magna where around before The Shattering, so things weren't completely rearranged. It's probably a key point that Greg's been using to twist his answers - we where referring and thinking about Planet Bara Magna, not region Bara Magna, which is why the answers aren't what we thought they should be.
Pencoin Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 How would Gali exist? Also I think the shattering must of affected some memory...
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 (edited) Ahh, hence the "BM and SM are two seperate and distinct locations" -- not planets! Nice catch. =D -Ikk Edited January 6, 2009 by Ikki o' Moopyville

Brickthing Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Fixed. Yay, our third Bink post! Congrats on the website Bink, it's very awesome, and I can't wait for the Arena game!

iLego94 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 When did Bink join?!?!? I do love the whole shattering thing. I'm assuming it was all over the EP. Something cause it to move out of the core, and it split Sphereus Magna into 3 sections, the EO planet, BM, and I'm assuming there still is the whole "Paradise" planet, just not as big as before. ~iLego94
Sugar Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 How would Gali exist? Also I think the shattering must of affected some memory... Good question...verrrry good question...
Wrinkledlion X Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 I wonder which village that is on the village-page. It looks like Tesara, but if so those are very big trees. I hope we get a look at the other villages soon. And while the voice-over in the commercial is admittedly a bit cheesy, the visuals and music are fantastic. I can't wait for the full animation. (And the cactus-y jungle there is an awesome idea.) Oh, and Skrall has black hands in the animation, I notice. I like the idea of Metus as a shameless promoter, as well. And the jungle sounds on Tarduk's page make feel all nostalgic. Oh, and anyone notice that Tarduk references "ancestors" on his MLN page? Organic reproduction, perhaps?
