Refia Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I just bought Zesk. All Agori are out here, though the Glatorian and Fero&Skirmix will only come out in March... And Tuma isn't even in the catalogue, meaning he won't appear in shops here... Zesk is cutesy in plastic! I love him, so cute. Very expensive, though, and hard to pose.

In the leaked pick, they are rakshi staff ends (must be an early prototype), but in this version they are the entirely new pieces that are on the right. Also not the shoulder things, and the new shin pieces. All this makes a convincing case for this to be MN. I doubted this, until I saw the colorful pic. I presume they just lowered the brightness of the picture in photoshop or some other picture editing program. And guys, the Mata Nui teaser and the leak are of the same set. They're not going to make two similar sets of the same character, because then the two sets will be competing with each other for sales more than necessary. If there will be the rumoured Mata Nui titan set, it would either be a Matoran Universe scale model, or a larger different form that Mata Nui takes on during the movie for whatever reason.

I'm pretty sure they will, though, since it appears he has a prototype Thornax/zamor thing on his shoulder.Another thing I noticed---- In the leaked pic, he doesn't have a shield. He has two crescent-moon claws on one hand, and the Thornax launcher on the other. I trust the leaked pic more, since it looks more finalized and actually HAS a thornax, instead of just a placeholder. ....Unless, of course... That isn't mata nui.... Or maybe his form with a titan vehicle? But why would they put a prototype in the magazine? Also, for them to have enough sets to ship all around the world, they probably would have to start making the summer sets now, so that could very well be his finalized version.

Also, if you have any Glatorian/Agori, look at the sides of their faces. The mouth thing looks like it extends into a kind of smile. (It'd be best not to mention on BZP, because it'll go from "I am Iron Man!" to "You wanna know how I got these scars?")

You're from NZ Albany right? If so, I can PM you for how I got my Agori for $8.50 each instead of $15. And I'd recommend you get Metus, Zesk or Berix. Metus just looks awesome with his snowflake shield and light blue torso, while Zesk is a cute monster in tan. Berix has a light blue flame sword, and three main body colours. He's also really intriguing, because his weapon and mask are clearly fire based in their shape, but the colour suggests otherwise. Bundalings - All the Agori are posed badly in that picture, but the bad lighting and phone camera quality lost some of the detail. I wanted it to look like Fero. Bfahome: Metus and Tarduk masks = win claws. I hope to see recolours on summer sets.

That's probably the main difficultly in making him look even cuter than he is.

Many mysteries from the years are now being solved or partially explained -- the greatest enigmas still present seem to be the UDD Map crusts, the Red Star and, most central, Mata Nui's purpose. Personally I wonder about the reason for the great lengths the Great Beings went to simply to rebuild a single planet, but that may not be dwelled upon much in story. What worries me is that seemingly the grand scale mysteries hinted at only little more than six months ago will be solved by the end of the story arc we now enter. If that happens, Bionicle's future seems stale -- either a story devoid of puzzles or new mysteries which have little to no relation to the original sagas. I hope that won't be the case, and that we have still yet to uncover the proverbial iceberg. Regardless, here is the alleged timeline. 100,000 years ago Great Beings, Glatorian, and Agori live on planet Spherus Magna. Energized protodermis finds its way to the surface of the planet; its properties are discovered by Agori villagers. War over energized protodermis breaks loose on Spherus Magna, fought mainly by Glatorian. Great Beings foresee the Shattering of the planet and develops protodermis, a synthetic material modeled after energized protodermis. From protodermis the Great Beings create the Matoran and Mata Nui at their main fortress; Red Star created shortly after. Construction of a second Great Spirit is begun but Spherus Magna is shattered by energized protodermis before their work is completed; unfinished Great Spirit parts remain scattered. Fragments of Spherus Magna form new celestial bodies – the planet Bara Magna from the former Spherus Magnan region of the same name, the Endless Ocean moon from the Great Sea, and another moon possibly from the Northern Frost. Organic birds from Spherus Magna trapped on the Endless Ocean moon. Glatorian system developed on Bara Magna; Zesk and Vorox regress from civilization. Mata Nui begins his journey into the cosmos, observing other worlds. -Ikk

Therefore we also couldn't have seen Bara Magna, since it wasn't invented yet. Though since we never saw much of the Wall of Stars, it's possible the Matoran did see BM. -Ikk

Regardless, here is the alleged timeline.-Ikk I agree with this mostly, although I'm sure there would be many more beings on Spherus Magna aside from Agori, Glatorian and GBs. Using the knowledge that no Glatorian have personally met GBs, and the hints about nobody having travelled above the Black Spire Mountains (from BIONICLE.com) and that nobody had travelled below the peaks to the south (from BiA 8), I think that the Black Spire Mountains divided the Agori and Glatorian from GBs and other species.
