The Dor Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 We seem to have come to an impasse. We both have previous opinions about the mask that when we look at the pictures, we see different things. I thought I saw a new Ignika, but I may be mistaken. I thought my evidence was good enough to convince others. But if you think its the good ol' Iggy, then when you look at the new pictures, you still see the old one. Oh well, its impossible to change someone else's opinion on something. We'll just have to see who's right when the time comes. The mask in the avatar pic is old. The mask on the map is new, or at least different. And I dunno if the mask will be gold. I hope it will be, but I don't want gold Inika legs. That'd be too much. Maybe he's yellow and black, w/ a gold mask. That wouldn't be bad.

JINZONINGEN73 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Seriously, the dark, backwards image sure looks like a regular old ball socket sticking up. I mean, is that not an axle peg? I don't see a Glatorian head at all, shitty quality pic or not. Maybe it's a new piece, as was suggested. On a side note, I wonder if one could safely recolor a silver Ignika to look more yellow (without using paint or markers lol) by like letting it sit in some kind of sulfurous mixture a few days?

If the new Ignika is on a Glatorian head, you could just put two ball sockets together with a 2 plus rod and attach that to the toa mata foot. You could also use a orange Glatorian to match his eyes. But if its like a regular mask, then you lucked out.

Those who have the Ignika, take it, blow up the image, close one eye and match the eyeholes, then open both your eyes. [-The Alchemyst-] I think the whole "compare the masks to see if they're the same or not" thing is becoming a bit extreme. Whatever happened to "Warning: Things in promotional images may appear cooler than they are"? Bottom line is that we can't really tell until we get some proper photos of the set itself, at Toyfair.

I think he's only been released in shops in the UK so far, but I'm sure he's avaliable over S@H. People just haven't tried too hard to get him yet I suppose.

People just haven't tried too hard to get him yet I suppose. The problem with F&S is that the only new parts are the thornax, and the weapon and the head and the mask. He's really only good for MOCing parts-and even then, there are better buys. I will give him this: He has a decent build from what I've seen.

There are plenty of recoloured parts on Skirmix though, like his head, jaw and feet.

Wow, you're right, we haven't, only the Europeans who had the 2005 titans in the winter, with Americans stuck with the Hordika. For some reason, I look past all the flaws of Skirmix and really like him. I can't tell if it's because of the lack of Rahi in the past couple of years, but he seems like a welcome inclusion among all the super vehicles loaded with guns (not that I didn't like those).
