Love the new sets, but I agree that Kaxium looks like the Destral Cycle. BTW, this is a random question, but has anyone ever ordered DVD's from China (imported due to extremely low prices). I just received Transformers G1 (the entire thing + the movie!), and it cost about $50 including shipping. The only problem is the discs are scratched due to the bad packaging. Does anyone know of any good disc cleaners, provided my DVD player can't read some of the DVD's?

I think that belongs in a different forum. :sceptic:

When looking at scorpio, I noticed the treads on the legs. Do you think this will give problems for standing it up?

You can probably fold in Skopio's legs to make it a tank-like vehicle.

I've decided to save for Skopio, Cendox and Kaxium. They're so much better than the 2008 vehicles. I can't wait.

I may be buying a majority of the sets this year, which hasn't happened since 2006.

Skopio, Cendox, Kaxium, Mata Nui, Ackar, Gelu, Vorox, Skrall.

That's so much money...

I don't think so, but I will be keeping mine in the tank mode.

Did anyone else realize that we finally got transforming Bionicle sets?

Yes, if you read my mini review 2 pages back, i think you'll find i noticed it.

The coolest vehicle is the Skopio, and then the Kaxium. Thornatus is pretty cool, but it seems like it is a tan jetrax with wheels . . .

Oh, Tyranide... how dependable you are.

Kaxium's megablocking adorable, what with the little sidecar rider buddy.

I like how all of these are desert-wasteland, Mad Max-lookin' junk.

The way they're all pretty much 1-rider vehicles... I just picture a whole buttload of them riding across the horizon, kicking up a giant dust cloud on their way to pillage some place.

And more tan parts!

Skorpio looks amazing. If I get any of them, it will be him. I'm just annoyed they used red on the large one again.

Thornatus looks horrible, just horrible. If it wasn't for the tan, I wouldn't even consider him

Kaxium... meh... at least there are two riders/vehicles providing some variation.

Cendox looks pretty kewl too, and tracks so even better. A little skimpy though, but it is the smallest one so I guess it is supposed to be like that.

Oh, and the boxes look awesome too. ESPECIALLY Skorpios.

Or maybe it's just a waist of money to people that have fat ugly pigs as avatars. BURN!!!
I've heard better comebacks from a turkey sandwich.

Seriously, 20 Skrall is a tremendous waste of money. If I was given $300 or however much it was to use, my first aim would be this and this.

I can imagine you years from now wishing you didn't have so many fricking Skrall swords around. hehe.png

OMG! Is it hypocrisy or something more sinister?

Going up on BZP shortly. :sweet:

If only it were real… v_v

Much. :3

It shouldn't be if the legs are sturdy enough (they'd better be >_>).

The wheeled vehicles look interesting but not Bionicle-ish enough to me. The blue motorcycle with a side-pod is kind of interesting. The tan one with tires I don't like. The yellow speeder bike-ish type thing does look cool. The one on four legs looks the most interesting purely because it's not on wheels, though this one reminds me of exoforce.

Out of the canisters, I definitely want the white one and maybe the green one. I don't really have an opinion on the other ones.

I really like Metus. Him, the tan guys, and Gresh. Malum's okay too.

While the apparent lack of beasties is a tremendous shame, Greg DID imply we'd see a two-headed Spikit with a wagon. Would love that so much. <3 Might Baranus be a wagon, then?

Skopio is the only one here that truly stands out. WHile the others are either uninteresting looks or have no fancy riders or both, Skopio is literally A GIGANTIC quadruped mechanized steed! SOme of you may know my love for Rahi-based vehicle designs, and I'm in awe that the single largest Bionicle set to date will be of such a kind. If the figure is a yellow and orange Vorox as it would appear, that'll be further win, though a primitive Vorox piloting this thing makes no sense. Ah well. Can't wait for clearer shots of this beauty.

Also, I got Berix and Vorox today. The only thing that drags down Vorox is his head attachment and mask size, which will look awesome still when posed right. Berix, however... Berix is the single most breathtakingly cool set EVER. Brilliant colors, a FANTASTIC water/blue fire flow pattern, blue to light blue fading mask, blue fire sword, dark blue Mata feet, limbs reminiscent of Mata ones... and that beautiful mask. So simple, so very original, and so unmatchedly cool. Getting Berix totally threw me back to the time when I got my first set, Gali, and could not take my eyes and hands of her. Such a little piece of ingenuity.

EDIT: To you Jinzo, since you're viewing: Coolest and most insightful book I've ever read (signature). =D

EDIT: Truth is stranger than fiction. Definitely more strange than even the Bionicle universe.

(Wish he'd not added that he thought the returning Nibiru stuff was "fact" on the last pages of the book. The rest of it was awesomesauce however.)

Right in the post above yours.

1. Does the pattern on the shields of the Skrall have any significance, or is it just a pattern?

1) Follow the story and find out

2009 just got possibly more awesome. If they're again using images in story that hold super-significant meaning, like the Mata Nuian Man or the UDD Map, or even the Island of Mata Nui, the mystery and coolness of the story just got increased by a good bit.

Maybe this has connection to the Maze Valley mentioned by Tuma in EOTS?

I suppose the Maze Valley is the icon of the "real" Skrall territory, hence the motif.

What? We've had transforming BIONICLE sets for year! Vahki transformed into beast things and the Bohrok, Bohrok-Kal and Whenua Metru transformed into balls!

Skopio is how the Swamp Strider should've been done. Somebody please confirm that those are Light-blue and Silver mix Antroz Claws.

Interesting on Scopio is the graphics that look like the Black Spike Mountains. I know that the maze pattern indicates storyline presence in the Maze Valley, but does this indicate storyline presence in/near the mountains?

Kaxium is a dual motorcycle, with probably our only example of matching Glatorian-Agori pairs. If the motorcycle has a split and rejoin function then it is winner than win.

Cendox has a Silver Thornax, is a yellow snowspeeder, and the rider has a biker's helmet and new-style bohrok feet.

Thornatus has tan, and it looks like the driver has a black thin inika torso. Here's hoping that the Glat-head is trans-yellow not trans-neon-green. The preliminary picture shows that he might have black hands, but I'm not sure. If he does, who cares about the rest of the set - he is my best friend ever!

Kiina has Mata blue new style joints ( ) and mata blue feet. Vastus uses lime tanma legs  . Ackar appears to have upsized Rannu's fire sword   . Stronius is holding the club from the end, with no consideration of balancing a weapon at all. He may be a Super Strong Skrall on Steroids (SSSoS), but holding the heaviest BIONICLE weapon to date like that is ridiculous.

Forgive me for having the attention span of a flea, but where is the evidence of a transforming set? The treads on Skorpio's legs?

Seemingly. It doesn't make sense to have those big treads just as legs, and they appear to fit well in a tank position.

And the upper legs are hollow. :D

HEY HEY HEY if this hasn't already been mentioned, the summer box sets have the Skrall maze design on them.

ok...i don't know what to post....bored...i think i will draw Skopio ¬o¬

Very very nice. I like the three different backgrounds and Matoro dissolving.

IMO, it would be more epic if Mata Nui was looking forward, so that you could see his blue glaring eyes and a faint outline of the GS on the Ignika.
