Here's my excerpt of summer 2009...

Chapter VI

Raid of Vulcanus

The city of Vulcanus was in massive turmoil. The Skrall and Bone Hunters were attacking both sides of the city, but the Glatorian fought back with legendary tenacity. With the help of the Legends, things were looking on the bright side for once. Strakk, Gelu, Metus and others from Iconox were manning the cannons, attempting to keep the enemy at bay. Meanwhile, Tarix and Ackar led the frontal attack.

Kiina, with her sharp eyes, spotted the news immediately."Tuma is retreating! And a squad of Skrall is following him! This may be our chance to slam them back!"

Vastus laughed as he parried a Bone Hunter's desperate lunge. "Well, you guys put the Skrall in their places. Gresh and I will stop the Bone Hunters."

Suddenly, a loud horn rang out in the distance. Immediately, the Skrall responded, and a bulky and heavily armored Skrall leapt out the ranks and ran at Tarix.

Ackar growled at the Skrall. "Tarix, look to your front, it's Stronius!"

The veteran responded, but he was too late. Stronius lifted his gigantic club and smashed it into Tarix's armor, causing Tarix to bellow in pain. Ackar leapt and attempted to save Tarix, but Stronius only put more pressure into the club, and blood gushed out of the wound.

"Only one shall fight me. And only after Tarix dies will that happen." The Skrall gruffly replied.

Vastus, Gelu and Kiina leapt out of the fray and the army of Glatorian and Agori followed.

The Green Serpent's eyes narrowed at the sight of Stronius. Seeing Vastus, Stronius spared Tarix's life and Ackar dragged his mortally injured friend back to safety.

"Well, well. If it isn't Vastus. I guess I'll fight you first."

The green Glatorian hissed. "Bring it on. I've been itching for a fight with you for a long time!"

The crowd backed away as the two enemies prepared to battle. Stronius roared and launched his Thornax at Vastus. The Legend executed his special frontal flip, dodging the Thornax and throwing himself at Stronius. He hooked his scythe onto the elite Skrall's club and swung around.

Stronius growled in annoyance and threw his club away and grabbed Vastus's neck, choking him.

Suddenly, Kiina threw her trident at Stronius who grabbed it and thrust it into Vastus's armor. Gelu switched open his visor and split his Ice Swords, leaving his Launcher in the dirt.

Stronius threw Vastus into Kiina, who caught the fallen Glatorian by his helm. The Skrall smiled and laughed.

"So...Three Legends down... Two more to go! Skrall, attack!"

The remaining Skrall roared in victory and the Bone Hunters followed. Suddenly, Ackar broke free of the fight and attempted to stop the attacks.

With great valor, the mighty Fire Glatorian left Vastus and Tarix in Kiina's care, while Gelu was fighting Stronius. Ackar continued and fought off the Bone Hunters and the Skrall with the Glatorian and Agori.

After a few minutes, another horn sounded far away, and the two forces fell back, leaving Vulcanus.

Ackar and Gelu ran to their injured comrades. Vastus had recovered quickly, thanks to Gresh. Unfortunately, Tarix was another matter.

Kiina sighed. "His armor is badly gouged. Most of his internal organs have been crushed. He's lost massive amounts of blood. Looks like he won't survive much longer."

"Get him in the infirmary. Gresh, get your Agori to help Tarix. We'll need to heal him as best as we can."Raanu ordered.

Soon, the Glatorian and Agori were repairing the damage done to Vulcanus. The best metalworkers took in the damaged weapons and took time to repair them. For once, all was well.

Up in space, far beyond Bara Magna, the Ignika was still rocketing towards somewhere. Mata Nui was still trapped inside, but he was to focused on getting back to his universe to concentrate on keeping Ignika from budging into his mind.

Where am I going now? I can't delay any further. I must get back. The Great Spirit thought.

A quiet, faint voice replied. Mata Nui, remember what caused you to get here. You must learn your lesson.

Be still, Ignika! You are no help at all. You were right to die.

I died to save you. You owe me. I want my old body back.

Honestly, you need to learn that I am the Great Spirit. Your pleas mean nothing to me.

Mata Nui... Your inferiority complex led us to this stage. In order to get back to our home; you need to learn how to be a friend to others.

That's it! Just for that, you're going to be sealed in forever!

What good is that going to do?

I don't know, but it'll keep you out of my mind.

Suddenly, Mata Nui felt a flood of memories from the Ignika. The young Toa had showed him what it was like to be a Toa, how Toa Matoro's sacrifice had saved Mata Nui's spirit from death.

Bah. They should know that I could manage on my own, for I am the Great Spirit. How could a group of Toa and Matoran change the destiny of my universe? That's simply impossible.

Then, the flashback of Toa Ignika's birth rippled up to the surface. Mata Nui watched with interest as he surveyed Ignika's inspirational creation.

A Toa... That's all he wanted to be. A hero... A guardian... That's what Toa are... Mata Nui went deep into his own mind to recall what generations of Toa had done. Hmm... I guess Toa are not simply tools that can be manipulated... They are the thin line between what is just and what is not... Maybe I should be a Toa one day. It would be suitable in the absence of my original body.

Mata Nui pondered these thoughts by himself for the duration of the trip. He was still furious at Makuta, but right now, he needed a way to get home.

It seems as if I will need to start a new life. And a new mask deserves a new name... Toa Mata Nui... that sounds perfect. A grand name for the Great Spirit, indeed.

Is anyone else unhappy about the current slooooooooooow release of web cereals serials? At this rate, by summer, we'll only have, like, 6 chapters each!

It will be worth it. Trust me. We usually get a whole bunch of chapters in a row near summer.

Rodimus, that kind of shit does not belong in this topic. please take it elsewhere.

At this rate, four hundred pages dont belong in this topic. I dont think your minimodding is really helping the restoration of this topic.

Who's a hypocrite now?

Rodimus, I'd recommend you make your own topic for your fanfic. I'd also recommend you post it in my Fanfic and art index, just so it can still be easily found.

Shut up! You dont know nothing... 'bout anything! Now piss off!

Now I don't mean to be a pedant but wouldn't not knowing nothing about anything, besides being a double negative of sorts, imply that i knew something? Also I will not 'piss off' as you so kindly put it!

Oooh the irony. We aren't exactly helping this topic be about Bionicle by arguing are we?

EDIT: Yum! I suppose we both have our daily recommended amounts of irony!

I believe the double negative was implied as I am not fighting with you seriously, there are no real issues at stake other than your idiocy. Actually, we are filling up space that could be spent bickering about BZP so I guess for the time being...

Are those things for sale, or on pre-order?

(Because if they're for sale I'm totally getting one. What currency is that!?)

Pre-order

Euros I presume. In other words, it's not that cheap.

Mmm... Ackar and Kiina's canisters: >3

Not bad, not bad at all. I'm liking them; would have been a little nicer if we had the elemental backrounds that we did for the winter Glatorian, but oh well... these are almost equally as good looking, so I'm happy. They even managed to make Kiina's torso look GOOD, too! XD

There is a little bit of elemental items down in the bottom right corner of the canisters, which blends nicely with the Skrall maze background.
