~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 but I do plan to make an anime of him and Skralla for my story YOUR MISUSE OF TERMS OFFENDS ME
Matsuoka Nui Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) YOUR MISUSE OF TERMS OFFENDS ME :cry_sad: It sounds like that it was used in an inapporpriate way....is that why?? (Don't tell me if it is....I don't want to know... ) Anyway.... Does anyone have pics about the brickfest this year?? It would be nice to see some...I once saw some of them a while back (was it last year??) Edited April 24, 2009 by Toa Mata Nui
Zarkan Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Ah good, the entry I voted for won. However, I wasn't especially happy with the final 5 - like many others, I had envisioned Certavus as a mostly white warrior with a Metus helmet, and the only one that had those features was far too bulky for my liking. Oh well, can't have everything, I guess.
Tyranide Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 No, seriously, I AT LEAST don't like this MOC. But I don't mean to offend anyone, just practising my mad skillz in using foreign memes :D Never wanted to have white Certavus with Metus helmet, srsly((
Zip Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I wanted this to win. It was the spitting image in my mind of Certavus.
dviddy Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I wanted this to win. It was the spitting image in my mind of Certavus. The image in your mind was terrible.
---Vertea--- Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 'Allo, Greg! Jus' had some questions for you...1) The GBs must have been REALLY desperate to both create and use the Baterra-Is this true? 2) If one were to make a Baterra MOC (in it's normal form) what colors do you think would suit best? 3) If the Agori were to go through Baterra territory unarmed, would they come out unscathed?(assuming they don't encounter any other enemies) 4) What level of intelligence do Baterra have? 5) Are they (Baterra) simply what they do, or do they have ranks, minds, etc..? 6) I really liked what you did with the latest chapter following all over the MU and even outside. Do you think we will get any more glimpses of the outside from Makuta' Point of View? 7) You said a while back that the vehicles were a little bit Mad Max inspired-Were the Mad Max movies any good? 8) I may have already asked, but have you seen the show Primeval? 9) Which summer set is your favourite, or is Malum still your #1 dude this year? 10) Do you have a favourite of the summer canister sets? Thank you for your time! smile.gif 1) Yes 2) Probably white or gray 3) Yes 4) They are pretty intelligent 5) Tjey do not have ranks 6) We'll see 7) Never saw them 8) Yes 9) Skopio, set-wise 10) Character or set wise? 5) What about communication? Culture? Or are they only intelligent as far as destruction is concerned? 8) Do you like it? 9) How about as far as character goes? 10) I mean set-wise, but both answers would be cool, too smile.gif Thanks! 5) They do have communication, they have no need for a culture, anymore than the Bohrok need one or your average armored tank needs one. 8) Mostly, yes 9) Don't know yet 10) That's by and large the same as question #9. I have not written about any of the vehicles yet, so I don't have a character preference among them
Zip Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 (edited) The image in your mind was terrible. I agree. XD And this coming from the people who liked the tap-dancer....? Edited April 25, 2009 by Zip
Brickthing Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 And this coming from the people who liked the tap-dancer....? The tap dancer was a cool MOC, it was daringly different, and it could've represented Certavus quite well. And I saw some other pictures were the MOC wasn't in a tap-dancing pose, and it looked pretty darn good.
Icesaber Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 (edited) Do you actually have the piece? I do, and although it's clearly not designed as a Glatorian helmet (which it isn't, it's for 4+ Motorbikes), it fits pretty well, and isn't that buckety. As for your entry, it was awesome, just colour confused. Congrats on a close second though. It does fit on a Glatori-head but it still looks like a bucket from my perspective. Plus I didn't like all the spikiness so I didn't vote for it. I wouldn't have minded Neaku's if it wasn't going to be Bunda. Great image BTW, Tyranide! Edited April 26, 2009 by Icesaber
Toa Rodimus Ignika Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 (edited) So Brickeens won... Well, that's I all missed going to Chattanooga then I guess. My Certavus art was Neaku's anyway, but now that paper is down and in a waterfall. Zip, that's a good pic. It's wrong it so harshly. Opinion differs from person to person, some people would think Certavus is an obese fat Glatorian would loves Thorwinkies... Edited April 26, 2009 by Toa Rodimus Ignika
Lepaka Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 And this coming from the people who liked the tap-dancer....? I never said I liked the tap dancer. At least not as Certavus. As a Chinese Glatorian, yeah, that's pretty damn awesome, but not as Certavus.
Toa of Whimsy Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Well, now that Certavus is over with... we can move along... Why is there no purple in 2009? I remember seeing an explanation somewhere on BZP but I forgot- something about all the LEGO purples being too different. Also why are there no sets of female characters? or am I wrong here?
Brickthing Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Well, now that Certavus is over with... we can move along...Why is there no purple in 2009? I remember seeing an explanation somewhere on BZP but I forgot- something about all the LEGO purples being too different. Also why are there no sets of female characters? or am I wrong here? Purple was largely discontinued because they had difficulties sustaining a consistent shade of purple between batches, and it wasn't worth the money and effort to fix it. Kiina (Blue summer Glatorian) is a she.
Toa of Whimsy Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 it wasn't worth the money and effort to fix it. Any ideas how to convince them otherwise? apart from petitions... Nobody listens to those. I say this as I have seen several petitions... and none of them seemed to have worked.
~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 That shade of purple has been of consistently poor quality or somesuch, and Lego really can't be arsed to fix it when they don't use it much anyway.
Toa Rodimus Ignika Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Ever since Onepu, I haven't missed purple. Then again, what is purple but just purple? It doesn't represent a element I presume, and there isn't a Unicorn Tribe in Bara Magna.
Toa of Whimsy Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 (edited) Then again, what is purple but just purple? It doesn't represent a element I presume, and there isn't a Unicorn Tribe in Bara Magna. Who said it had to represent an element? I like the color. And as for that unicorn remark... I can only point out that Nidoking is not a unicorn Edited April 26, 2009 by Toa of Whimsy
Natman8000 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Who said it had to represent an element? I like the color. And as for that unicorn remark... I can only point out that Nidoking is not a unicorn That isnt nidoking. Nidoking is a fat pig pokemon with horns. That is a mutant ugly... thing.
Toa of Whimsy Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 That isnt nidoking. Nidoking is a fat pig pokemon with horns. That can learn Earthquake, Mega Horn, Poison Jab, Double Kick, Earth Power, Dragon Pulse, etc.
Natman8000 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 That can learn Earthquake, Mega Horn, Poison Jab, Double Kick, Earth Power, Dragon Pulse, etc. So what? Pokemon doesnt make sense. Its all a bunch of pesky animals that have bulky features that beat each other up with deadly attacks and they never die. Whatever!
Zip Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I think what people are failing to understand is that TLC is discontinuing the old shade of purple, not the darker, newer one.
