Brickthing Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 A Scarabax Beetle who's name is Click. He is apparently an "important" ally of Toa Mata Nui. September-October BrickMaster set. Probably why BIONICLE doesn't try to make real life animals out of BIONICLE pieces. This thing makes the Klakk look good. Good for pieces though, and I'm still getting it due to the awesome poly-bag background.

Actually, we've had a comic for two issues in a row (Jan/Feb and March/April), and I believe Greg said we'll be getting three more this year. So, it looks like the May/June issue will be the only month this year without a comic.

---Vertea--- Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I was kinda happy to see a Brickmaster exclusive that was more than like eight pieces(not including pins and axles). The Scarabax is an unusually big catch for Brickmaster...Even if it IS devoid of any new pieces and only one type of recolour...

Makuta'sdarkslave Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Personally, I like the Scarabax beetle (just got issue today). Sure, it's a bit disproportianabalized, but it's still pretty cool. Looking at it, it does remind me of a scarab beetle, even though it's all... BIONICLE-ized... although I'm a little disappointed with the name, I guess it goes good for a pet name. However, I'm now trying to find out why it's important to Mata Nui. Maybe it was the first creature to actually show kindness towards him after planetfall and turns out to be an ancient messenger from t he GBs? I don't know, all I know is, when I go to sleep tonight (in... like 45 minutes, hopefully) I won't be able to sleep just because of this... and the fact that all those haunting forwarded messages have now moved on to my phone from the internet. o.e When I got my magazine today, I forgot it had Mata Nui in the front, and I opened it and I swear, the page glowed. It's all... Keetorange... ish. But it's also really cool. I don't know why, though. I read some comments on a Youtube video about people actually complaining about the cut-away on Iggy's face to reveal MN's mouth. They were saying things about how it was "un-cool" and looked more like a helmet. I was going to comment, but then I realized that I was probably oging to be flamed by a bunch of little kids flippin' out on me about it. I guess I kinda am out of the main target audience now... Looking at the Scarab shield, I don't know, it looks like it's made of a giant bug... They're gonna kill a little bug. T~T Nah, I kid. I used to do that all the time. ;D ~Makuta'sdarkslave
The Dor Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 So I just built my own little scarabax who is green and silver... and he's actually pretty neat. At least as good as the Klakk IMO. A bit bummed I don't get Brickmaster, but at least I have a scarabax of my own anyway xD so yeah, you guys rippin on poor little Click... Don't complain because the pics suuuuuuck

Think it will be humorously possessive of MN and assault anyone who tries to even come close to him? Also how about the possibility that MN created the thing himself?

However, I'd imagine the ability to "control" Rahi, which by extension means other creatures, is well within Mata Nui's power, even seperated from his own body. It's a nice little set, but I am glad it's a Brickmaster exclusive, means I wouldn't have to buy it. I don't think many people -would- buy it. -Swert

Still can't tell what's going on with the mask. Stronius better not be Mata Red. We already had that. The lack of Upper arm armor [they could have put some on the back, at least, or maybe made a new mold, having a short double joint with the axle in the middle. D:] is disruptive. Other than that I still like. Gelu is thinner than I expected and looks way too weak. But those are the sexiest blades to exist. Ever. [-The Alchemyst-]
---Vertea--- Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Gelu definitely has the prize for best weapon of '09-second place going to Stronius for a weapon that is both colored(kinda) and a bludgeon(more than a flat blade) and Malum for those badass claws. I think Vastus might tie in third with Strakk since the axe is a welcome change, but that partial-trans tubing and scythe are just wicked. Then finally Gresh's shield ties in fourth with the now overused Skrall swords(which are still kickass) Ackar and Mata Nui stand out on their own as great sets both color and part wise, so no judgment there. Vorox is just cool, but his weapons suck. Kiina... is a little disappointing, though her parts are VERY much a must-have.
