Wrinkledlion X Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Oh, you're in Denmark? A couple relatives of mine live there. (Though mostly in Iceland.) Here's a review from a while ago.
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Well, it was fun at the beginning, but now it's really annoying. Rather than weird jokes I'd read some good discussion. His account seems like it's been hacked. Shakar Nah, notrly. It's just me feeling like being a god. Vultraz is cool but MAZEKA IS COOLAR. -ZotS
Clonie Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 (edited) I think Vultraz used a De-De-Matoran. Some avatars I made... Edited September 23, 2008 by Clonie
Tyranide Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Have you read Journey of Takanuva? It may be a children's book, but it's severely badass. I don't like fireworks, but the book itself was very nice. Artwork - nice, too, I just don't like Brazeal very much. Sometimes he's amazing, sometimes - well... strange. But I DEFINITELY want to see his drawings of Glatorians. Who do you think, will be main character of the first 2009 Level 3 Reader? I guess Tarix or Gresh. After looking at Glatorians pics VERY intensively I can say that there CAN BE 3 vs 3 characters. Like Mistika in summer 2008 trade catalogue - 3 on one page, 3 on another. Skrall, Gresh and Tarix vs Strakk, Vorox and Malum...

iLego94 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I am too. It's fantastic to see some Matoran action with characters that do not yell "WE NEED TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE!" every other minute. And the De-Koro was a great cultural touch.Along with DiD, these are the best Greg stories since Voyage of Fear. And I can't wait to hear more about the "secrets of the cosmos" that Mazeka was studying... hopefully it's more than just the MN = MU thing. Heck, we may even see the UDD Map again when the Hagah go waaay down... -Ikk So do I :) Sadly, I asked GregF about the BiA secrets, and he said it was just a plot device (A MacGuffin, by what he told me.) But, I think that we will get to see some secrets in the DiD serial, as by the time that is over, the year will already be over. I'm really wondering about the UDD map. I know that Greg said the MU is on it, but it extends far beyond that. I'm wondering if one of the dots is the BIONICLE planet, and here is a though-Doesn't the symbol look like the milky way? Could it be a galaxy??? But, the whole map could be on the Planet, so who knows. My major question on that is did Greg set that up for a future easter egg, or will it be used this year? ~iLego94
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 HOLY FRIGGIN' AWESOME "We're closer to the truth now... take me home" -- Definitely relates to Mata Nui. And that Ignika blaze... wowser. The mood of the song fits perfectly with the doomsday feel this year is developing, in addition to just being a great song. Can't wait to get a download + lyrics! And yep, she is hot all right. -Ikk
iLego94 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Poor old Ignika. The thing is, I don't see how he is really sacrificing himself, he's just ditching his body. I wonder if he still is "alive" like he was before, or if he's just a normal mask now, like the Vahi? ~iLego94
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 (edited) It looks like the Mask was sealed in a part of the Codrex before asploding... is it possible that that 'shelter' acts as a way to prevent everything from coming to life when Ignika makes its sacrifice? Either way, it looks fantastic. -Oll Ikk -- DAMN keyboard Edited September 23, 2008 by Ikki o' Moopyville
Nightmare Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Glad to see you're liking the surprise So yeah it's friggin awesome, and Ignika, well, he learned it from Matoro. I have to say that the Story Team has done a great job this year and that ghost is the best CGI company I've seen in my life. And Ikki, remember that: It's burning her alive
iLego94 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Yeah, Ghost is getting really really good. I read on their site that they animated the opening sequence of HellBoy II ~iLego94
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 (edited) THAT explains why that movie was so much win. Ghost is simply breathtaking. Listen to this song while reading Swamp of Secrets... I can't think of a more apocalyptic and epic feel than the combination of those two. -Ikk Edited September 23, 2008 by Ikki o' Moopyville

Shakar Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 (edited) Nah, notrly. It's just me feeling like being a god.Vultraz is cool but MAZEKA IS COOLAR. -ZotS YEAH YOURE BACK!!!!111Anyways, I like the new song. And yeah, she is quite hot. The short hair she has now suits her more, don't ya think? Shakar EDIT: Forgot that hair in English is a singular noun. I got mixed up because in Italian it is plural. Ikki o' Moopyville Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 What 'bout listening to the song while reading the Final Battle? Good idea, but that's kinda hard at the moment XD -Ikk
hewkii9 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 All the convoluted plot, the silly arguments, all that Metru Nui trash, it's all getting swept away.Instead of worrying about gaps in pieces, bley, guns, and piraka torsos, let's just be grateful Lego has kept this awesome awesome line of pieces running for these past 8 years. Oh no, Metru Nui was the best year after 2001. Hordika, however... And bley will still be there. Don't delude yourself.
Ecto Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Great ending. And there's a girl at my school that looks just like her. =D
Wrinkledlion X Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Ah! But I like Ignika! Oh, and cool song. I like the dreary instrumentals. Very interesting.
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 (edited) I never get why people are sad to see their favorite characters die at the end of a story -- it's not like we'd see Ignika again, it'd probably go back to dormancy if not asploded. This way makes its story so much more complete... from the tests of the Toa Inika to the witnessing of Matoro's death, to its own final perception of what it means to be alive, and to be a hero. I just hope the Nuva will remember the ol' chap. -Ikk Edited September 23, 2008 by Ikki o' Moopyville

Wrinkledlion X Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Well it doesn't mean I dislike the plot development, but I do enjoy the Ignika.
---Vertea--- Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I was glad to finally see what's happening in the Ignika animation , though I will still be happy to see the full thing. I'm guessing it cuts off about there with the Mata Nui animation starting right off where it ends. Hopefully, we'll get a full animation for all of it.
Phantoka Kopaka Nuva Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Holy Teridax! Ignika sacrificed himself! Great song, BTW.
