Pencoin Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Is that confirmed? No, for better thing please go to Bzp, much better then this place. We only cover a small piece of Bionicle while Bzp Is a site dedicated to Bionicle. If you go you will feel better for it.
~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Is that confirmed? No, it's just a better idea than yours.
Pencoin Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I do really hope it isn't vehicles, they are just so boring. Unlike the usual small vehicle those things were massive and not swooshable at all. I am leaning toward Beast because we have Skirmix and Mechs/Ships dont see to fit the low-tech of this year. I'm think Red-star next year or '11 so maybe then (Makuta-Nui and Mat fighting eachother on and aroudn the red star..epic).
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 The reality is, Bionicle is a kids toy. Technically, basically none of us here should even be playing with bionicle anymore, as we're far beyond the normal age group that buys these toys. I've seen so much complaining about how the storyline is awful, characters are bland and cliche, etc. But honestly, Bionicle's storyline is extremely complex considering what age they are aiming the toys at. All the interconnecting plotlines, a huge amount of characters and locations, and many other things make the Bionicle universe a huge one. To me, it's suprising how sofisticated Bionicle is compared to a lot of the other American kiddy toys and their "storylines." Bionicle, in both storyline and kits, honestly is unlike anything on the market. But let me get back to my point: Bionicle is a kids toy, so it's inevitable that the plotline doesn't kill off a ton of major characters. According to George Lucas, while talking to a British interviewer during Revenge of the Sith premiere, "Americans don't seem to understand that the Star Wars movies are just a kid's franchise". And look where that all is.

Yes you would be surprised how much kids know about the expansions of franchises like starwars, thats why I think Bionicle is quite popular. Bring out a VNOG-like MMO based around for the new film that is a side story and if TLC charges for it they will be stinking rich. Kids love to know more then their peers so they go online and search, and with a wikia for everything these days they get their info. The circle of knowledge. Edited October 1, 2008 by Pencoin
~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I think Mecha would be a nice reference to Exo-Toa, plus they'd fit well with my Gundams. =3
Pencoin Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I think Mecha would be a nice reference to Exo-Toa, plus they'd fit well with my Gundams.=3 I agree there, that said I would't mind a 'mech-beast' like the Nivawk in the Dume set, I really like that it worked great and was very swoosable.
---Vertea--- Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I agree there, that said I would't mind a 'mech-beast' like the Nivawk in the Dume set, I really like that it worked great and was very swoosable. I did like that set-the only titan I was able to buy that year-specifically for the(at the time) new mask. My problem was that Nivawk's wings couldn't move aside from the open/ close function. I still liked everything else, tho. I really would like to see more beasts this year-or maybe beast and chariot! or what would be REALLY cool would be primitive machines of battle. Or even BETTER would be a small or canister set with more than one minion-in the form of rahi, or whatever. yeah... Summer holds much promise, but let us not get our hopes up for mere guessery. Still... There's always hope...
Zarkan Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 According to George Lucas, while talking to a British interviewer during Revenge of the Sith premiere, "Americans don't seem to understand that the Star Wars movies are just a kid's franchise".And look where that all is. Well, this is George Lucas we're taking about. Whatever he says, the reality is that Starwars is enjoyed by as many adults as kids. Bionicle is different - the vast majority of its fans are between 8 and 11 years old. People like you, me, Ravensburg, Ikki, Darkness Falls, and others are in the tiny majority of teen and adult fans.
Pencoin Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Chariots are to cool for TLC to think up of. Don't forget guys we might have exclusives yet for the winter. I Didn't know about Icarax before I saw him in TLC (2 weeks before Chirstmas ).
Lemonardo 114 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 My PM from Greg: Hi Greg. I have some questions about BL11 Ending (I don't have the book cause I live in Poland, but my cousin from USA sent me spoilers) and the Polish guidebook:The Final Battle: 1. When Teridax said "I am the universe", did he mean that literally (as in his body being the Matoran Universe), or spiritually (as in being able to control everything and being omnipresent)? 2. Since Teridax is now controlling everything, does that mean that he can kill all Toa and Order of Mata Nui members instantly? 3. Can Order hide from Teridax if they remain in Matoran Universe? 3a. If yes, how? 4. Since MN's spirit is in Ignika now, can he make a body for himself? 5. Karda Nui Makuta are all dead, but what about other Makuta? Will we learn about their fate in Destiny War? 5a. Will we learn about Order's fate in Destiny War? Polsh guidebook: 1. Do you know when is it going to be released? 2. Do you know the price? 1) The whole "is the body the universe or not?" thing I am leaving for BIONICLE.com to answer next month. 2) If he chose to, yes 3) Nope 4) Yes 5) All Makuta other than Teridax are dead as of the end of 2008. 5a) DW ends before Bionicle Legends 11 ends, so no. 1) October 2) No, I don't
Shakar Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 NOOOO! That means that Miserix is gonna die too! He was cool! Then again, Mutran was cooler, and he got killed too. Man, he was one awesome character. On Mata Nui, it's cool how he can make a body for himself (possessing somebody would've been a bit weird for a good guy). I just hope that the set will not be a Toa Ignika recolur. So, as of now, Teridax has MN's godly powers and MN has Ignika's Life powers? I thought the powers you have were connected to your spirit, not to your body (Teridax-Maxilos had almost all 42 Kraata powers and the Shadow element). Shakar
Pencoin Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Don't forget Mata-nui wasn't a 'Bionicle' and Iggy is still in there, and also the makuta evoled like that. Lotsa factors there.
Shakar Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 D'oh, forgot Ignika's spirit. And yes, Mata Nui is most likely an exception to the "spirit=power" rule. And the Makuta thing actually is in line with the rule. So, if two Iden wearing Toa, A being a Toa of Fire and B being a Toa of Ice, switched the bodies, the result would be a A resulting into a Toa with Fire powers inside an Ice Toa's body and B resulting into a Toa with Ice powers inside a Fire Toa's body. The voices seem to be connected with the spirit too, since Teridax talking as the Universe still had Lee Tockar XD Teridax's voice. The Maxilos thing is an exception: since it's a robot, it was spiritless, so its powers and voice are connected to its body. That explain why Teridax in its body had its voice could use its energy power and . Shakar
Pencoin Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Nope, Canon was that Maxilos had a Mechanical voice wasn't it?
Shakar Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 (edited) Yup, in a comic Matoro told him something along the lines of "Even if your voice is different I can recognize that tone, Makuta!". Sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant that since Maxilos's voice is connected to its body (being spiritless) when inside him Teridax sounded like him. To avoid further confusion, note that I always refer Teridax as "he" and "his" ( him being living and all), while I refer to Maxilos as an object, so I use "it" and "its". Zarkan Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 ALL makuta other than Teridax are going to die at the end of 2008? But not every Makuta is in the core right now - we just recently found out about a new one that may eventually be named Tridax, and there's probably others too. How are they going to die as well?
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 (edited) Probably either going to be killed by the Order or simply go poof at a whim of The Makuta. =D -Ikk Edited October 1, 2008 by Ikki o' Moopyville
iLego94 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I can just picture TSO doing an "All the Makuta are dead, and I'm still alive" dance, that would suddenly be cut off by Teridax's "speech". He's in for it... ~iLego94
Tyranide Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 All dead Makuta will be avenged!!111oneone!))) What d'ya think, will the fourth movie teaser be released with winter sets? I still remember Mask of Light teaser on Bohrok-Kal promo discs and Legends of Metru Nui teaser on Toa Metru ones.
hewkii9 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 This makes me look forward to the proposed 2009 Matoran Universe serial. Teridax was Teridax for one year - he will never be anything but the Makuta again. And if Makuta is the universe, than maybe Vezon won't go to the Pit [if he even survives Destiny War].
Hydrobius Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 All dead Makuta will be avenged!!111oneone!)))What d'ya think, will the fourth movie teaser be released with winter sets? I still remember Mask of Light teaser on Bohrok-Kal promo discs and Legends of Metru Nui teaser on Toa Metru ones. Well, I'm pretty sure someone said this before, but that means... *cries* MISERIX!!! NOOOOO!!!! ... Well, that was a shocker. Wasn't expecting that. Let all the other Makuta die; but why Miserix? I understand, but... man, so much potential... ah, well, makes for good plotline, I guess. XD
iLego94 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Love how Greg will just spoil all the serials for us that have read TFB :)
Pencoin Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 That said, what is the pit? considering where it was placed and the fact it cracked during Mat fall over makes me think it was his erm, you know what i'm getting at don't you?
