~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Wait, what happens at the end of The Final Battle? I think I missed something… >.>; Basically: -The Toa get the Ignika to sacrifice it's body to supercharge Mata Nui's revival, and the Toa escape on the Vehicles while the Makuta all die by energy storm. -Meanwhile, when Mata-Nui reenters his body, Teridax beats him through the door and takes control, throwing Mata-Nui's spirit into the Ignika and throwing it out of the Universe. -Book ends with Makutaverse gloating to the Toa.
---Vertea--- Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 … well that kinda sucks. No-It's the greatest ending ever! But, yeah... I feel for the Toa. Makuta can now kill them all with but a thought. Damn.
Bfahome Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 No-It's the greatest ending ever! But, yeah... I feel for the Toa. Makuta can now kill them all with but a thought. Damn. I meant for the dead Makuta. :/ Well, four of them at least. *throws Bitil and Antroz into an energy storm*

You forgot the fact that Icarax and Krika didn't die because of the storm. Icarax was killed by Gorast and Vamprah's disruption power when he teleported, and later Gorast disrupted Krika's intangibility power to turn him into nothing.
Clonie Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 And the whole klakk/shadow Matoran/Takanuva thing.
Pencoin Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Why can't people just read a few post back, jeez... I was thinking Makuta has taken over the mat universe now... next stop the whole universe?
iLego94 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I just realized I forgot something about the book: Takanuva went crazy, and tried to kill all the makuta! Greg used this battle to bust up the end of Mask of Light when Takanuva said that this would be no kohli match passing for a battle. Anyways, Kopaka stopped him from becoming darth taka :P This should come up in the TB soon.... ~ILego

Hydrobius Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 This. What happened then, was it the dark side taking over? Basically, yeah. Bitil and Chirox tried to ambush him (this was right after he found out he was an av-matoran), and he basically blew a fuse and tired to kill them. He even said he was going to kill them if they came to close. XD
hewkii9 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 No-It's the greatest ending ever! But, yeah... I feel for the Toa. Makuta can now kill them all with but a thought. Damn. Oooh, they'd better play nice now... I like the ending, too. It's 2001 with domes and Dume.
---Vertea--- Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Oooh, they'd better play nice now...I like the ending, too. It's 2001 with domes and Dume. Yeah... It really sucks that Krika bit the dust in the end. His end(not a death since he's neither dead nor alive-he is nothing) for what it was, was darn tragic.
iLego94 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Yeah... It really sucks that Krika bit the dust in the end. His end(not a death since he's neither dead nor alive-he is nothing) for what it was, was darn tragic. I think Greg Made him die this way, because he could have just turned intangible and escaped at the peak of the storm...
Nightmare Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 (edited) Just got that : Hello Greg how are you? I've just read the ending of Legends 11: I liked it, but not only I liked it, I liked it a lot, I would have never imagined that Makuta could do such a thing like putting Mata Nui's spirit into the Ignika. I have very few questions about some things though (Hope you can answer them):1) Makuta said that their only hope was Mata Nui. Does that mean that Mata Nui has the power to escape the mask AND return to his body if he still was in the universe? 2) I know Mata Nui's spirit is in the mask, but, what happened to Ignika's mind? It's still there? 3) Seeing the explanation that Makuta gave to the Matoran when he took over the Great Spirit, was Mata Nui the voice that told Matoro to put on the Ignika? Thanks for your time :), :n: :i: :g: :h: :t: 1) He meant that as long as Mata Nui's spirit was nearby, it was a threat to him, which is why he put it in the mask and dispatched it. 2) Ignika's consciousness is overridden by Mata Nui's, since Ignika is really not a living thing. 3) No, Mata Nui was asleep, so he could not have done that Thanks for replaying so quick! :D Two little followups: 2) Then that means that once Mata Nui leaves the mask, Ignika will have it's own mind back right? 3) Then who did? The mask itself? And some new ones: 1) You said that the new universe is not created by Great Beings, and by consequence, most of the rules from 01-08 will not "work". However in this story arc some core mysteries will be revealed. So, in some way, the 2009 universe has had some relation with the Great Beings, right? 2) This one is about the event you'll do soon. I know you're taking the MN poster with you. So will you show it to all kids then give it to someone that answers right a Trivia contest? Thanks again :), :n: :i: :g: :h: :t: 2) Yes 3) Hasn't been revealed 1) You'll find out as we go along 2) I haven't decided to do a trivia contest at this event. I may not do one this time around Edited October 5, 2008 by Nightmare

Bitil and Chirox tried to ambush him (this was right after he found out he was an av-matoran), and he basically blew a fuse and tired to kill them. iLego94 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Good thing I'm not going to the event, I might have the urge to steal the poster and make a run for it....
Hydrobius Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Awesome. Especially the Kohlii match line. Now we really know what Greg thinks of the Mask of Light movie... And if it wasn't for the fact that he had to write the battle like that for the little tikes, imagine how it could have really turned out... XD
iLego94 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 And if it wasn't for the fact that he had to write the battle like that for the little tikes, imagine how it could have really turned out... XD I don't think GregF wrote the battle, I think it was the script writers. He complains about Kohli match ending all the time, this is the fist time he has actually done anything about it tough :P ~iLego
---Vertea--- Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I remember someone remarking that the life-counters of the Glatorians is a piece already seen. Does anyone actually have any pics or examples?
VBBN Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 I remember someone remarking that the life-counters of the Glatorians is a piece already seen. Does anyone actually have any pics or examples? No, It was already seen in the 2009 catalogue on a larger picture, that's all.
Bfahome Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 No, It was already seen in the 2009 catalogue on a larger picture, that's all. Actually, Bunda pointed out that it's a small-sized gear used with this type of treads.
iLego94 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Actually, Bunda pointed out that it's a small-sized gear used with this type of treads. THese? I found them on Peeron at http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/57520?img=29887 It's a fairly new piece, it's only been used in 2 sets, one in 2007, and another in 2008. ~iLego94
Dark_Avenger Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Reading BL 11 confirmed, for me, that Krika is one of the awesomest characters to be created in the past several years. Also, any contempt I had toward Greg over the last comic (that crap about the battle be so t3h ep1c that it can't be described) is gone - IMO, he truly did succeed in describing the enormity of that battle, unconstrained by the ridiculous limitations of the comics.

True, true. I got the book. It was awesome. Man, Makuta is so, so cool. It's sad that he killed all the others (Krika was actually a fairly likable character in this book), but it makes Makuta himself so much more awesome. Best villain in BIONICLE.
