Pencoin Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 They not doing one next year are they cause of the film?
Phantoka Kopaka Nuva Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 They not doing one next year are they cause of the film? The animation? I think they'll still make some, just not as long as this year. We'll probably have 45-sec mini movies next year like the Phantoka again. Speaking of the Phantoka, did you realize how much attention they got comparing to the Mistika?
Tyranide Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 I just hope that in the end of the year there'll be full CG available in Fun Zone. Not these pieces. I can't understand how these clips can be edited onto one...
Nightmare Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Bink already confirmed that by December they'll make it downloadable as a 2,5 minutes single movie.
Tyranide Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Bink already confirmed that by December they'll make it downloadable as a 2,5 minutes single movie. Yeah, now I won't need to make magic with these videos in Movie Maker! ^_^
iLego94 Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/promos/20081...icle/index.html Here is a new cartoon network site :) I have just decompiled it, and I found some cool spoilers (not that we don't know, but they hint at what should be in the CGI) sadly I couldn't get any of the upcoming movies early (they change the script when they upload a new one, so no luck there... But, look at the bottom of the page. Notice how it talks about the matoran of Light? Well, the goofy developers left some spoilers in, for when this link updates :) This is really cool, as the links refer to the story section and the CGI, and the CGI will have some info not in TfB. With out further ado ranting, Here is what the bottom link will update to say (note: most of these are out of story order, but that is the order they were in when I decompiled them, I'm only following the name assigned to the file. Most are in the right order though :) 0 NOW: Who will save the Matoran of Light? The answer is on BIONICLE.com Next: Can the Toa escape Karda Nui in time? Find out on BIONICLE.com Then: Beware the energy storm! Check it out on BIONICLE.com Then: The stars hold a secret… Find out on BIONICLE.com Then: What shocking secret waits in Metru Nui? Check it out on BIONICLE.com Then: What is the fate of Toa Ignika? Find out on BIONICLE.com Then: Who will win the final battle – the Toa Nuva or the Makuta? The answer is on BIONICLE.com Then: What rises from the endless ocean? Find out more on BIONICLE.com Then: Who will survive the battle for power? Find out on BIONICLE.com Then: Mata Nui is about to awaken … and the universe will never be the same! Find him on BIONICLE.com So basically, these are flash links to BIONICLE.com, and a teaser for what may be found there. Some refer to the animations others to the Story Section and Taka Blog (for example, the current one refers to the Blog, and the up coming one about the Ignika refers to the animations.) From what I can figure out, "The stars hold a secret" refers to the fact that MN can only be seen through space. Also, it looks like we will see MN awake in the CGI "Find him on BIONICLE.com", sounds like an animation teaser :) ~iLego94

Tyranide Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 (edited) "Stars hold a secret" may refer to the stars of MU aligning into shape of Kraahkan. It would be cool to see it on video. I hope that the last one means that we'll see Metru Nui in animation)) Edited October 7, 2008 by Tyranide
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Or the Secret of the Stars could be the Paradise that Mata Nui came from, and that he is returning to... I REALLY hope we get to see the Ignika's flight throughout space! -Ikk

BTW, he also said that the order are in the same boat as the toa, meaning that they must still be alive :) iLego

They'd be better off dead, for their own sake. I want em' to live, though. Their suffering in the MU amuses me. XD
Bfahome Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Now that I look at the early leaked photos, too, I see that the chest-plate has a gap between it and the hip joints. So, yeah, it seems that Gresh deviates at least bit from the standard Inika body. Also, it may just be my imagination, but does the Inika torso on Malum look slightly tilted relative to the Carapar armor? I got my bets on CGI error. :/

I want em' to live, though. Their suffering in the MU amuses me. XD The story serials, I think will deal with the Toa and good Matoran forming a society outside of the domes and hiding from the Mata-Makuta I got my bets on CGI error. :/ Not quite. The pics are of the actual prototype sets-the textures on the new parts are a dead giveaway. I really can't wait to see the finals-to see how far from the protos they differ. I mean, look at Gresh's mask.
Wrinkledlion X Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I hope it is tilted. If he has a unique torso-design, Malum's awesomeness would increase tenfold. Anyways, I want the serials to deal with Makuta's Soviet-style totalitarian rule over the universe. Like in 2004 with the Vahki secret police, the giant "TRUST IN TURAGA DUME" signs, etc. REVOLUTION!

Like a Vahki, only cooler! Oh, yeah! That WOULD be neat. Maybe he'd create a new law enforcer being! Like a Vahki, only cooler! heh... I can reply to myself... *ahem* anyhoo... I was thinking, and was wondering if anyone knew where the mahri instructions turned up early-I'm thinking that we could find Glatorian stuff there soon. Also, is it Amazon.de where the first CG pics show up?

Also remember the Phantoka leaks? They were CGI.

They were CGI. well certain elements of the pics are cg'd, but that aside, they look a lot more like pictures than the Phantoka.

Way to turn something dynamic and awesome into Playskool.
~Wrack'n'Ruin~ Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Huh? I see little difference apart from the colour distribution.
Clonie Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 The mask looks worse, now that I can compare them. Like seriously. And where are the Nuparu claws?
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 The color distribution on the prototype is cooler, making a mouth visor type dealie... but it's the shape that bothers me. The horns on the sides don't taper inwards now, the mask doesn't taper towards the chin, and the forehead looks less wide (maybe?). The production model is still usable of course, it just looks a little more kiddy somehow.
---Vertea--- Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Jinzo and clonie, You guys are prolly gonna bash me for this, but... I like Gresh. His newer mask has a better blending and it looks almost evilly noble. I kinda doubted the prototype pic was accurate as far as how the two greens clashed. I'm also glad the nuparu claws are gone from the chest with the mistika claws replacing them inside the armour. I made a Gresh MOC, and the claws prevented most poseability with the arms. ...though they still probably could've put the nuparu claws on the back where the mistika claws originally were... All this aside, my liking for Gresh isn't so much that I MUST have him-no, those places go to Vorox and Strakk.
Pencoin Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 (edited) The box-shots so the 'prototype' though don't they? Weird. I agree though this new pic makes him look less cool, but at the same time he looks more like a good guy,. Has anyone thought of some good match-ups? Zesk - Tarduk Raanu - Metus Malum - Tuma Edited October 8, 2008 by Pencoin
