The Polish book is going to be released tommorow. It's title is "Przewodnik Makuty po Wszechświecie" ("Makuta's Guide to the Universe". I don't think that they intended any reference to "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe") Here is the cover:

Woah - a TON of stuff to comment on just in the last 24 hours.

Library Event Info - Wow, only 15 makuta? And the unnamed ones are killed by the Order of Mata Nui, which wins the war? Very cool.

Thornax Launchers - Dangerous fruit? AWESOME. Yet another sign that 2009 is going to be a lot like 2001.

Mata Nui Poster - .... Wow. That is just amazing. Only, if this is Mata Nui, where is the island of Mata Nui? Isn't the island supposed to be his face?

Guidebook - MAKUTA's guide to the unverse? Ha, that's really awesome too.

It's official - these last few months have been the best few months for Bionicle since the very begining.

Fake. It's music from the Mummy tomb of the dragon emperor, I believe. It has a very 'universal pictures' sound to it if you listen hard.

I think MN has grown on me, I really do like him, even if he looks like a special edition Transformer. Thankfully, he looks old, and like something made by other beings.

I really hope Mata Nui's set is cool enough to be him. Of course, it can't be TOO cool, or it would out-shine the other five canister sets of the summer. He really should've been a titan set or a canister-sized being with a steed, contraption, or vehicle. Or even other characters. What would be REALLY neat, would be if we got boxed sets that had numerous toa-sized beings or matoran-sized beings AND a rahi, vehicle or contraption. That way, it would be like a battle-pack like with the rahi of 01

Reading about the change in the new launcher's name, I'm thinking back to when I was at one of the library events, where Greg said something along the lines of this: "the reason they use so many x's and z's in bionicle names is that not many real words use them."

This makes me think that the sudden change in name may be because somehow, something named Thornak was already copyrighted, but TLC only found out recently. Thus changed it , but only after greg found out. Basically, Greg may have given out a prototype name to the kids, while the final name was different.

Hi, as you could tell from my last PM, I'm very excited about 2009.

Few more things:

1a. Do the 2009 characters eat with their mouths?

1b. If so, do they drink as well?

2a. Do the Glatorian(s?) speak Matoran or their own language?

2b. If so, is it a language that the 2001-2008 character would know, or would he have to learn it?

3. Do Thornak grow on trees?

4. It appears that Skrall has a "labyrinth-pattern" on his shield. Does this represent an underground maze of tunnels for his village, along the lines of Onu-Koro?

5. Are any of the Winter sets female?

6. Exactly where is the line drawn between Glatorian and non-Glatorian? Are Glatorian just the canister sets, or those plus the small sets and Tuma? Or what?

7. Under Makuta's rule, is every inch of the Matoran Universe under his constant surveillance (I know that technically he's omnipotent), or is he like Mata Nui in that he doesn't (Or can't?) view everything that goes on in it? I ask because I'm not sure what the serial would be about if the Matoran and Toa are constantly under watch and unable to revolt.

6) Small sets are not Glatorian, no, they are villagers.

7) Ah, but you are forgetting something -- Makuta does have the potential to be omniscient, but he is still a non-Great Spirit mind in a Great Spirit body. So he is not USED to being omniscient, and that is a weakness the Toa may be able to exploit.

Anyone else think Gallagher just assumed Mata Nui was biomechanical since everyone else in Bionicle is?

Because the MNOG miners found the *organic* surface of Mata Nui's face beneath the island -- and the CGI version looks more like organic protorock than anything else.

And even so, they only said it had higher organic levels than average.

They compared it to an ussal shell, which hasn't been disconfirmed to the best of my knowledge. They could simply have meant that it appeared to be like living protodermis.

And, yeah, Greg does love me. He's actually PMed me before to initiate conversations with me.

Wrink, once Mata Nui's nature is fully revealed, you need to do this: Get Greg to publish the description of Mata Nui from the original story bible that he always talks about.
