Tyranide Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Mmmm... where did they get this "coffin"? oO All my dictionary says is "barathrum: pit, abyss /the underworld." NO WORD "bara" in Latin. At all. Good point. default_laugh_new.gif Their repetitive grasping at straws regarding Mata Nui NOT being the universe is fun to watch, too. It would be funny to watch, if it weren't so... pitiful.
Wrinkledlion X Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 (edited) Mmmm... where did they get this "coffin"? oOAll my dictionary says is "barathrum: pit, abyss /the underworld." NO WORD "bara" in Latin. At all. All the translators I've used have referred to "bara..." Perhaps it's a Latin root but not specifically a complete word. Also, have you guys seen Aravagantos in the OGD? Hilarious! 1) Because if you destroy the Ignika, you unleash the power of Life in the universe. Everything comes to life -- rocks, rays of light, everything -- chaos gets unleashed, and since Makuta is the universe now, that would be bad thing for him. Well, that's basically Greg confirming MN=MU I think... He could be talking metaphorically. No offense, but that's really stretching credulity. I prefer to call it "skepticism". EDIT: Monday's video is 40 seconds long! Edited November 1, 2008 by Gunnar
The Crazy One Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 (edited) i do expect ol' Taks to be in next year, he is the main character of bionicle Yes but if your have heard the rumours, this is before Takanuva came into exitance since its should be going back to the roots of Bionicle. So i don't think we will be seeing any well known characters apart fro Mata Nui. Edited November 1, 2008 by The crazy one
Brickthing Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 EDIT: Monday's video is 40 seconds long! Well that's understandable - try explaining the fact that all the characters are tiny little beings inside a giant colossus, that's just waking up after a thousand years and is also possessed by the ultimate evil, in a 10 second CGI clip!
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 (edited) ... 2009 takes place in the present. So Taka will certainly still exist -- indeed, Greg has plans for him that go beyond this year -- but Mata Nui will be the sole familiar character on that world. And yes, Aravagantos is ridiculous. Please spam him with links to the animation once it's up. XD -Ikk Edited November 1, 2008 by Ikki o' Moopyville

Shakar Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Good point. Their repetitive grasping at straws regarding Mata Nui NOT being the universe is fun to watch, too.-Ikk Oh God yes, that is hilarious. I mean, it is obvious. Skepticism, LOL!As for the Bara thing, it also means "coffin" in my language, Italian. Italian has many influences from Latin, more so than every other Neo-Latin languages. Shakar
Tyranide Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 40 seconds of Mata Nui, oh yeah! It's so cool that 4th November is a holiday in Russia, so we don't study from 1st to 4th! ^^ Don't you think that all those... fools rejecting MN=MU idea will die from the shock on Monday?))

What's the time zone like in Russia though? For us in New Zealand, it says it will be out on Monday, but that's America Monday, so we don't see it till NZ Tuesday. I love how the MN=MU disbelievers continue their struggle even though the theory has been heavily inferred for months now. Edited November 1, 2008 by 3D Brickthing

Ikki o' Moopyville Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Timezones is no problem... Bink is in Denmark, and has to manually update the site. Meaning the video will probably out in the early morning, American time. This is the epicness we've been waiting for since a canister watched up on a strange beach. So, prepare your for the un much expected, as the most hidden mask of all will fall... And all the pieces of the Bionicle mystery will beat the crap out of Aravagantos! -Ikk

Brickthing Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Just from the OGD: Hi Greg,After reading the Brickmaster magazine, I've got a few questions for you: 1. Now that Teridax is the universe, where are his interests focused now? As in using his new form in it's universe, or controlling and toying with the Matoran Universe? 2. Can Teridax destroy Trem Kron if he wants to, seeing as Trem Kron holds the information to overthrow Teridax? 3. Theoratically, could an Iden user have taken over Mata Nui as Teridax did? 4. Where did Mata Nui's spirit go when his body died? 5. Did Brutaka always have his Olmak, or was it crafted for him? 6. In regards to the relation between alternate universes, where some universes have a slower timeflow than others, if somebody from universe A spent 10 days in universe B, where time flows at half the speed, when they returned to universe A, would only 5 days have elapsed since they left? 6a. If so, would there be universes where time flows so slow compared to others that you could spend years in the slower universe and return to the original universe seconds since you left? Thanks, Toa Onuta 1) Both 2) Sure 3) Yes 4) He wasn't dead that long, so I don't think his spirit got very far away from it. 5) I think he always had it 6-6a) Yes 1) So, will he be leaving the endless ocean planet, seeing as there is the impression that there is nothing to do there? 3) Is the fact that Iden users (and Makuta) can take over the universe should it die a design flaw or security feature? 4) But where was his spirit actually headed when his body died? 6) Another Olmak question, how come there aren't altnerate universes where Olmak users decide to use their Olmak to go to another alternate universe, and end up in the original universe? 1) Time will tell 3) You're off a little. If the body dies, the universe dies. An Iden user or a Makuta cannot reanimate a dead body, therefore their being able to take it over does nothing for security. 4) Not something we worried about, since it's not relevant to story 6) How do you know that hasn't happened? 3) This may be a long shot, but could a Tyrna user and an Iden user work together to at least keep the universe stable? 4) Did it have a predetermined destination (like heaven or something) or was it just ejected out of the body and left to go where-ever? 3) No. A body reanimated by the Tryna is not actually alive, it's more a semblance of life. 4) We don't get into the whole "where do you go when you die" thing in BIONICLE, because it ends up turning into a religious debate and offends people Fun fact for what could've happened - Matoro Inika could've been a GS. :D There are dimensions where you could gather an army in the relative blink of an eye. :) And there may be more than one Brutaka in this universe. :) Kinda interesting don't you think?
iLego94 Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 In 2008, only one thing is for certain, Aravagantos will be in for a surprise, as one theory is proved, and he is forced to eat feces... IT's THE FINAL I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!! Dun Dun-Dun-Dun!!!!!!!!!! IT's THE FINAL I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!! I think I'm going to find a way to get on the computer in the morning, even though I have school, and no time.... ~iLego

Shakar Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 No carvings about MN's death. It's that I saw that MN-alike face and it got me thinking again how many things were planned since 2001 ...like the things I mentioned (those were actually confirmed by Greg). I am sorry if I wasn't clear, and I really didn't want to make fun of you. Shakar

Yeah, unlike many other long stories, that grow over years *cough*Star Wars*cough* BIONICLE was planned for a long time. I remember the old web producer (not binky) said in an interview that they had 20 years roughly planned out. iLego94 Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Huh? Where'd politics come into this? It was about people talking when they don't know anything.
