Brickthing Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 It looks like an Av-head... That's what I thought too, but apparently it isn't.
Kynok Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 4) New heads that have a nifty dual-orientation feature, and are smaller than previous heads.- Bink Yes. I love Nifty Dual-Orientation Features.
iLego94 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Umm guys, this is the proper calculation for MN compared to MU MN= 40 million feet.MN= 7575.76 miles. Earth= Diameter=7,926.28 miles Circumference= 24,901.55 miles So, as you can see, MN is not bigger than earths circumference. ~iVahi
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Bink thought of two names: Thornax and Skirmix. Surprisingly, it's the only two names whose roots are obvious and who are Teridax-level stupid. No offense, Bink, but PLEASE do not make any more official names! -Ikk

No offense, Bink, but PLEASE do not make any more official names! But I want the masks to be called Faceix! Although I can come up with better names off the top of a hat [i think i'm mixing -ism here]. Like Naretu. Akepatu [i'm using it for something though]. Gesene. And if I need to have an x, then Rexu.

No offense, Bink, but PLEASE do not make any more official names! -Ikk I fail to see why Teridax is so stupid. Personally, I thought The Makuta's real name was a relief and not that bad, especially compared to some of the other names this year like Helryx and Klak.
---Vertea--- Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 4) Thanks! So do the new paces, or whatever they are atttach in multiple ways, then? 4b) Are the face-things compatible with older heads? 3) How was the build for Skirmix? Satisfying? THANKS AGAIN! ---DSV--- 4) You'll have to see. I've said too much already. It's not safe. They're watching me, always watching... 4b) Dunno, haven't tried. But I don't see why not. 3) I liked the build, it's a fun set. Reminds me of Kikanalo. Some follow-ups
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I kinda liked Klakk -- it had that odd touch to it while still keeping the Bionicle trandition of -ak based names. Teridax was a good name, I think -- but it does simply not convey the character of the Makuta. Sauron... Morgoth... Makuta... Teridax? I think it would have made a fairly good name for another Makuta or Rahi/character, though Taërokha or something would have worked. Even Führak as Kraggh suggested on BZP. -Ikk
Zarkan Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I think the first name you gave sounds more female than male, and the second sounds too much like a Rahkshi name. Also, I disagree about the name not conveying Makuta's character. Personally, I think a name based on the word terror sums up The Makuta very well, as he is terifying in every aspect of his character. Also, it sounds far more like a name for a leader than all the other Makuta names, IMO. Ah well, at least we can all agree that Teridax was a better name choice than Zigorakacrax or something.
Bundalings Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 But I want the masks to be called Faceix! I lol'd hard. XD So that new measurement for Mata Nui's size sounds better. Still very large, but w/e. I guess he needs to be to hold all those islands... I think Mata Nui's farts must come from Xia. XP ~Bunda

That's even less subtle than "Teridax."
Bara Magna Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I hated the name Teridax. Worst. Name. Ever. Now we don't have to call him that, though. we can just call him good ol' Makuta. (He is the only one now )
S-N Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I was actually pretty pleased with the name Teridax. :P
---Vertea--- Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 The name in itself isn't that bad, but the thing that ruined it was that it was putting a name on an all-powerful villain. He was, is, and always will be The Makuta.
VBBN Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 The new heads are not related to avtoran heads in any way
---Vertea--- Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 This is Makuta Nui. I rather liked that model. Back when imagination was still a major factor in playability. Looks like 2009 is bringing it back!

It's not safe. They're watching me, always watching... Did either Greg or Binks actually say that? Lol wow. I think Mata Nui's farts must come from Xia. Considering where Xia is in relation to Metru Nui, he farts from his upper torso? So he was expelling more than the Ignika in that new comic... Edited November 5, 2008 by hewkii9

VBBN Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 Gunnar said: This is Makuta Nui. Really? I thought that was just some random rahi. I am somewhat glad Lego didn't make remake The Makuta, like Takanuva or the nuva.
---Vertea--- Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I dunno... A new Kraahkan would've been spiffy. And had they used Takanuva's body, he'd be pretty Makuta-ish.
Brickthing Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 They also "remade" The Makuta in 2007 as Maxilos, which was really confusing to understand.
Wrinkledlion X Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Maxilos was a cool set... I still have him built...
