It's a pity that he's the one titan set that I don't have. I never saw him in New Zealand.

But I want the masks to be called Faceix! Although I can come up with better names off the top of a hat [i think i'm mixing -ism here]. Like Naretu. Akepatu [i'm using it for something though]. Gesene. And if I need to have an x, then Rexu.

Speaking of awful names...

No offense, but Naretu? Wow, I wonder what awful Anime that sounds like. :P

I much prefer Thornax

Code Lyoko? :P

Those names I suggested were pretty crappy, yeah.

Mata Nui died -- when Matoro revived him, Makuta possessed his body before before MN could -- when the Nuva awoke MN, it was with the Makuta in his mind.

The Great Spirit Makuta then banished Mata Nui's soul into the Ignika, and both from the Matoran world... after which the Ignika winds up on Bara Magna. :classic:

-Ikk

Woah, wait on a second ,does this mean the huge dude rising out of the island Mata Nui in the mini movie was actually a Makuta inside Mata Nuis body. :oh3:

I agree with you, Maxilos was a great set.

By the way, I saw an Axalara T9 at 50 euros. Should I buy it ?

You know that under normal circumstances he's 70-80 Euros right? Then why are you asking? Get him! It's complex, big, colourful... Plus a Lewa Figure!

What do we know about the storyline for 2009?

Only that Tuma is the evil dude, and he plans to conquer Bara Magna (the planet).

EDIT: Oh, also that the small sets are called Agori and that Skirmix was named by Binkmeister, but that's all.

From GregF on the mysterious Toa in the 2009 teaser, and if it is the MN set

I believe it was drawn before sets were designed

And, From Binky on the 2009 teaser for the website

2. Not a CGI type of animation, not like MNOLG. Don't get your hopes up for the teaser, it's pretty basic.

That's good info, thanks a ton)) Wanna see better Mata Nui set than... this.

Something like Barraki teaser, maybe?

That would actually be pretty funny if the '09 teaser was: And Malum got the Nine-Tailed Fox trapped inside of him. And now everyone hates him. And they are all ninjas.

I would lol.

And then quit.

What was that? I wasn't online much in late 2006...

It had small clips from the Barakki animation and some dramatic music. Nothing incredible, but still pretty ominous

i think that it will be good to see something like this:

the Gresh silloute aparears walking over the Dark Desiert, there, 5 nmore sillloutes apparears, and it beggins a dramatic Music, and the video get stopped and there apparears buttoms over the silloutes, and day by day, one silloute is revealed

Oh, Darth, I saw your review and I wasn't clear on a few things. What do you mean when you say "lack of firing mechanism"? If it's what I think it is, the Jetrax suffers from the same issue, but you don't fault it.

Same thing about the silver weapons. I was trying to decide which one to buy, and you gave the Axalara the most negative review, and yet I don't see anything in your cons that doesn't apply to all three sets if I understand them correctly.

The Axalara doesn't have a switch or button to push that allows you to rapidly fire the Midaks while also flying the ship through the air; the Rockoh T3 does.

It's a small thing, of course, but had the set been built with Zamors, somehow, we could have had an awesome multi-firing trigger.

Yeah, the Jetrax suffers from the same thing, and I'd complain about it there too, had I written the Jetrax review.

I just saw this on the OGD, nothing important, it just made me laugh:

14. How long do you spend on the computer?

14. Pretty much all day

Sorry Greg, but that gives you no excuse to say "I'm swamped with PMs" :P

On a more serious note I also found this on the OGD

1.) The video depicts the Kini Nui toppling over as Mata Nui rises from his camouflage, but that structure, along with the telescope, were left by the Bohrok when Mata Nui was cleansed. So apparently they were meant to be on the surface. So are these two things part of Mata Nui's face, and contract into his body when he moves, or are they discarded along with the rest of the stone cover when he gets up, then replaced with everything else when he goes undercover again?

1) That is something I would need to ask the moviemakers about. The decision to make it that there was a base atop his face, rather than the island actually being his face, was theirs, so they really need to explain these things.

Ooohhhhh Greg's gonna get Ghost..............

And, even More crap!!!

4) Will we ever figure out where those organic birds from '01 came from?

4) Yes

VERY VERY VERY COOL STUFF FROM GREGIE TO ME :P

I basically see Mata Nui as being a ruler of benevolent indifference. He has no negative feelings for his people, no ambitions that would harm them, or any desire NOT to protect them, but he is very hands-off. He's not going to interfere with their lives. Mata Nui, at best, expects the best work the Matoran can do and hopes for their respect.

Makuta, on the hand, demands their worship. His rule is self-aggrandizing, totally about his ambitions, and while he too needs the Matoran now, he is not above sacrificing some as an example to the others. He will actively enforce his will in the universe, regardless of the environment that it may create.

BTW, I just got THE RIVER OF GOD, GregF's old book from 1992. To show how different from BIONICLE it is, think it's time for a quote : "EAT THIS SLAG B****" Not even joking! Old Greg seems to love his swears, and extreme violence outside BIONICLE....

Lol, you should ask Greg to give us at EB an exclusive story like he gave the Tuyet one to BZP. Only here at EB, Greg wouldn't have to mind his swears & excessive use of violence! (Hopefully)

Thoughts:(In order of favorites)

1. Strakk: My favorite. Overall Yeti theme, ice crystals, and axe work well together.

2. Skrall: Second best. Nice and smooth, yet with good angles. Nice color scheme.

3. Malum: Nice. Good and buff, with cool fire claws.

4. Vorox: Glad to have brown back. Will mod spear.

5. Tarix: Good mask. Not as good as Malum, but still good.

5. Gresh: Not too good. Like the shield/sword.

Overall, better than Toa of recent years. And yes, I know that Strakk, Vorox, and Skrall, if not every one of these, is probably a villain.

Hello, Bink! Dark Spirit Valuuk here! I had some more questions for you- this time regarding the movie.

1) Have you seen any finished parts of the movie?

1b) If so, is it amazing?

2) Do we know yet who is doing the musical score for it?

2b) Do you know what kind of music will be in it(epic, dark like elfman, majestic, etc..)

3) How closely do the movie characters resemble the sets?

Now, on the website:

4) how's the game looking?

5) How much story will be in the website? I was kinda hoping for some kind of frequent update like the bohrok saga.

6) Is there going to be a countdown thing like with the Piraka and Barakki, or does the website just change?

7) How long is the last animation? Will it top the Mata Nui Rising one?

Thanks!

---DSV---

1. Nope, haven't seen anything finished.

2. They've been chosen, but I don't remember who it is.

3. More closely than the earlier movies.

4. The 2009 game will be amazing.

5. The story won't be told incrementally like in 2008, but all at once, for the most part - aside from web serials from Greg.

6. No countdown.

7. Shorter than Mata Nui Rising.

- Bink
