---Vertea--- Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Crap...I wanted to ask a set designer some questions, but now I can't remember =(.Anyone here ask any questions yet? I asked if we will see any more collectible packs
VBBN Posted November 8, 2008 Author Posted November 8, 2008 I asked if we will see any more collectible packs I asked... 1.) Why are female sets so un-female looking? 2.) Why are the same designs re-used over the years (For instance, the Inika torso's have been used constantly. Same with the armor.) 3.) Why don't you use more trans- colors? 4.) Why don't you produce chorme gold or silver? I'm not talking massive quantities, just a few parts for a set. 5.) For my final question, I must ask, what do you try to accomplish when designing sets? Hopefully this will get some answers.

Mine were probably unoriginal: 1)Something about how the life-ccounters worked 2)If they would bring back the tubs-o-parts 3)If they would bring back mask packs 4)If there would be any exclusive parts in upcoming sets 5)...Can't remember what I asked here...
Brickthing Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I should probably ask a few questions there - any ideas as to what to ask though?
Lemonardo 114 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Does, anyone have that darn polish guide?!?! I know it is out of stock online, but how about the stores???~iLego94 It got delayed and it will be released on November 15th. Or so says AMEET.
Pate-keetongu Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 That "Makuta's guide to universe" book is coming to Finland. Good TLC !
iLego94 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) Stupid AMEET.... I hope it comes out in english, as I hate to have a cannon book that I can't read.... As for the teaser poster, it was done to inspire the moviemakers and created before any of the sets were designed. Hence its resemblance to past sets. Oh goodie!!! ~iLego94 Edited November 8, 2008 by iLego94

iLego94 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) JUst go this from the colorist of the comics Hey Ulises-Your poster and latest BIONICLE comic is out! Here is the poster for proof: [link] Could you post some pages from the comic, and the poster online (if not the comic, then please the poster, as us fans do not have a digital version of this, like the comic which will be online on the 10th) thanks ~iLionFish i, at the time i have seen a couple of photos of the poster by fans . Let me ask my editor if i can, the penciller have more freedom to show their pencils cuz is not the final art. All the stuff i have posted in this gallery to date, is only material the publisher have released online, i cant post anything else, until it have months of being published. I know that sucks, most of my best pages i have done i cant show them , if i could i would post almost all the stuff i have done, like some stuff of DC heroes for Nokia, some of my best work to date but im not allowed to show it :( In this case i have to wait cuz im not allowed to show recent spoilers.... and this is a BIG spoiler. BTW Right now im working in the new series ;) And, THis from Greg: Hey Greg-Sorry to fill up your inbox, but I have some 8 year old burning questions :) If you could answer these, it would be great :) (BTW, this PM is Ghost's [cgi dudes] fault :P ) 1) Could you find the original Story Bible page on MN?? Or, just post the text/a summary of it?? 2) What was the original plan for MN and his relation to the island? Was the island his real face, not the metal bit?? And, what was Kini-Nui?? (If you find the story bible page, you don't need to answer this) 3) Did the whole EP system idea exist in 2001?? 4) I remember reading an article once, and someone, I think Leah, the former webmaster said that BIONICLE was planned out for 20 years. Is this true? 5) Does the Polish guide show where the locations are in MN??, and is the whole book considered cannon?? B) Could you put parts of the book up in English with AMEETs permission?? thanks, ~iVahi I answered these yesterday. Sorry Greg, but I never got a reply :( I ever delete my messages, until I have about 90% full, so I would know. THe last letter I have from you is form the 5th. Could you please answer them again :begging: thanks ~iVahi 1) Don't have it. Even if I did, I wouldn't be allowed to post it, it is confidential company material. 2) Real face 3) No, EP was invented for the 2003 story 4) No, I think you misinterpreted. What we have said is that we could easily come up with enough story for 20 years (or more), but BIONICLE was originally planned out as "7 books," not for a specific length of time. 5) Yes and yes 5a) I doubt it. I am sure, like Scholastic, their copyright prohibits reproducing the book in any form without their permission. Most publishers have something like that. I'm curious as to how the island was his face... I really think GregF is about to verbally spank Ghost if they don't come up with an explanation soon for ruining plans from 2000... ~iLego94 Edited November 8, 2008 by iLego94
Tyranide Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I'm sure Makuta's Guide will come to Russia next year. As I understand, it's from the same series as Piraka Warriors?Inika Warriors, <insert series name> Warriors books. And we have these Warriors books here... but only 2007 for now. So, I'll wait 'till the next year - all Phantoka books, Mistika books and Makuta's Guide will surely come out here. Don't you know how many people already asked designers about purple pieces?)) It's the most popular question I get from friends are about purple pieces oO BTW, iLego, can't you help me get this River of God or at least some excerpt? Almost everybody here in Russia want to have all Greg's books, but we ar only able to buy his LEGO books((
hewkii9 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Blerg...why is the MU map so hard to find? [rhetorical, I'm just whining really]
Brickthing Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I think you guys better read this... That's kinda sad, although it could mean more books in the future, depending on what the new editor is like.
---Vertea--- Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I think you guys better read this... Oh, that sucks... I hope we can see another great editor. Good to know Greg will be keeping in touch, tho

THis is the cover so you know what to look for: http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/f/greg-f...iver-of-god.htm BTW, if you see an auction on EBAY with this book and another shatterzone book, be warned that River of God was the only novel that Greg wrote, his name is on the front of all of them because he is the creator of Shatterzone, along with Ed Stark, so he gets the credit, sort of like George Lucas getting more credit than a star wars novel writer. ~iLego94

If I could order it from Amazon sellers or from EBay, I'd have done it already...((

---Vertea--- Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?sho...301565&st=0 I thought this was a refreshing bit-o-newsie-news EDIT: Here's some more-nothing big, just something neat:http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=301716&st=0entry6062026 Edited November 8, 2008 by ---Vertea---
Pencoin Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 It always joys me to see those silly children say specualte things we know the truth of.
---Vertea--- Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Nice theory, but no -- only one other tribe leader is being released as a set, and he's one of the small sets in January.Greg This was found in a topic about Tuma being the tribe leader of Stone. Now, which Agori is leading a tribe?
Pencoin Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I'm saying Metus/Berix/Raanu. And leastly Tarduk.
Bundalings Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) This was found in a topic about Tuma being the tribe leader of Stone. Now, which Agori is leading a tribe? YAY! More little rulers! ^_^ ~Bunda Edit: Maybe it's Metus? He looks like he's wearing a crown. Edited November 8, 2008 by Bundalings
Pencoin Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 He did come to mind first. Also I'm think Strakk isn't a bad-guy, why? Call me a Idiot/SquareEnixGeek/DisneyGeek but notice in the background there seems to be a singe flower. Discuss my Idiot/SquareEnixGeek/DisneyGeek-ness.
Bundalings Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I don't really see how a plant, if indeed that's what it is, means anything. ~Bunda
