Not gonna lie, I'm not interested in the space station now that I've seen a picture of it, and that honestly makes me glad. I can't afford it anyway, so this is at least one set that won't give me FOMO.

Interesting... looks like the new space sets might be using that new reddish orange color as a significant part of their color scheme? I think it definitely works—feels appropriately spacey.

Is it definitely a new colour and not just dodgy lighting? I'm all in on new colours to the range so I don't want to get my hopes up!

Interviews about the new Monkie Kid have confirmed that the pagoda in that set uses a new reddish orange color. With other sets like this one where we've only gotten poor-quality picture it's obviously a little less certain that that's what's being used—but knowing that there's a new color being introduced, and knowing that often when Lego introduces a color they like to use it relatively liberally to help build up a usable selection of parts, it wouldn't surprise me if that new color is being used here.

From a realistic perspective those station modules make absolutely no sense, since the floor of each module would be where the outside wall airlock is, but from a play/fun perspective this is a real cool set/series and will be a must buy for my son and I (just like the recent lunar and mars stations).

i think that summer 2024 Will be biggest set release in lego city's history

This is what we thought about Harry Potter a few years back but instead we got the reboot.

It looks like four of the modules have airlock attachments on both sides, so the station can be expanded outward.

Oh fantastic! I'm not really that au fait with Monkie Kid so I hadn't heard that news.

Hmm, not entirely sold on the idea. Seems to me that far too many pieces are "wasted" to build just the structure for the ring where the modules can be attached and which has no play value otherwise. The current 60350 seems like much more fun for the asked price.

Honestly, I like that they continue the same connector pieces for those space station modules, makes them compatible with 2019 , 2022 Space Stations , 2022 Lunar Base,  and the 2020 underwater base (+ sections of the 2019/2022 rockets could also be moved around)

However, the choice to use a circle, with only 1 module per, makes it look very empty and unconnected, at that scale, I could still imagine it being some crawlspace like seen in Star Trek, which they call Jefferies Tube , but nothing a Minifig could actually walk in.

Of course you can turn it into a longer , or + spaced ship by moving modules around, perhaps the ring could be seen as warp drive nacelle or something then, as it's blue, and perhaps this is far-future, and they have developed transporter technology to move around the ship. (and LEGO minifigs already must have invented transporter tech to move around in City houses without stairs )

Still, I do like sets like this, especially as backwards compatible with various other sets.

Amen for that! lol.

I'm really hoping for great airport, cargo super plane and maybe a city harbor remake finally after so many years!

oh no I completely missed that leak!

We’ve not had a huge cargo plane since 2013, would love to see a City harbour again, long overdue.

Depending on how the rest of the sub theme turns out, I may very well get the whole thing. I like that they are going far more sci-fi after last years sets were made directly in correlation with NASA. I am worried about the sheer amount of space it looks like the space station will take up though. I wish they had used the ring's budget to instead create a few different transition modules to really optimise the modularity of the set. Hopefully other sets in the wave will use the same system.

Just saw pic of the fire plane. Not bad.....twin prop water bomber with stud scooters for water cannons.

Now, the space gear no interest at all.....what's next.....city castle or city pirates ?

i like 60413 plane

There is an interesting new torso that is floating around - A neon yellow hi-vis vest with dark blue arms; what makes it interesting is that the colours suggest that it is for police, but the badge looks more like the fire badge than a police one. Maybe we are getting a new police badge for the prison island? 🤔

Are you referring to the space station? Also, we already got City Castle!

way overdue! like the cargo trucks and constructions sets.

......and the coast guard subtheme. Though I guess the recent divers sets kinda push those out the way. But I'd love to see either coast guard or the Res-Q theme from the late 90s to early 2000s make a comeback. Some subtheme that has to do with seaside rescue at least.

I'd say that sounds about right. City is usually among the last themes to get image reveals. So if not late November, definitely early December.
