The Lego Truck review is on Youtube, the Lego Sets and the panels on the truck are all printed, I think the only stickers are the Hot Dog Stand, Sign and Medkit at the back of the truck

I'm pretty sure the first-aid kit is printed, it's a 1x2 tile that's appeared in several City and Friends sets.

Thanks! interesting to see the ball turntable return from the excavator (as seen on your insta!) and Im very interested to get my hands on the new plates that interact with the corkscrew part. Does anyone have a review of the jungle explorer truck as well? id love to see how its built.

Looks like the Water Plane is already on Backorder in the UK! I ordered my jungle sets last night through Nectar for the extra points and it was avaliable to pre-order but went straight on Backorder.

Looks like the new Zelda set stole all the good foliage pieces that would have been great in the jungle sets! 😂

That’s real shame!

Neat, it looks like the printed blueprint tile in the crane is the blueprints for the robot coaster.

Yup! And the one in the excavator is last year's ice cream shop!

Seeing reviews and pics of those two construction sets there's so much I like about them... the vehicles themselves really feel like a leap forward for City construction equipment, the reddish orange safety uniforms on the construction workers look great, and even little things like the use of those light bley quarter domes as debris for the excavator to scoop feels generous (since it's a fairly recent, uncommon part to just get as loose debris).

Took a break from Lego for the month of May and just getting back into it. Those construction vehicles are awesome, but are too big for my town so I don't think I'll be buying any. I agree though, those new uniforms look nice. I may see if I could just get some of those on the Lego website through Bricks and Pieces.

Just got the latest polybag and the baby gorilla is cute and always welcome polybags with new animals rather than buying the bigger sets.

I bought the Gorilla polybag yesterday and its great. The baby gorilla, some other great parts plus a neat minifig (and now I have the medical torso from last year's exploration sets)

Well, noone seems to be talking about this but a brand new set just leaked, but it's not what you expect.

60691-Jungle Explorer Camp

It features a jungle are with a interactive volcano that features a sound box, a small base camp 2 land vehicles: a large truck and a small buggy. The set also supposedly includes a variety of new pieces including 3 interactive minifigures.

It sadly can't be purchased and is part of a research by LEGO in the Uk. The program will grant the set to a total of 1000 families in the UK.  But it might be as they state that nearly 1000 families from across the UK will be able to experience a product while it is in development right in the comfort of their homes.

Here's a link for the brits who want a new set

I assume this set might available globally in the future possibly meaning volcano exploration returns in 2025

A possible pattern release from LEGO?

In 2005, they released set 7248 Digger and set 7249 XXL Mobile Crane. 19 years later, they release 60420 Yellow Construction Excavator and 60409 Yellow Construction Mobile Crane. Also in 2005, they released set 7344 Dump Truck(It's their biggest one ever released for LEGO City). I wonder if we get a new Yellow Construction Dump Truck release in the 2nd half of this year?

2 more of those weird interactive sets have been revealed, the croc head one and a seaplane. They look interesting, I’m glad to see more dark red recolours. Such a shame it’s only a beta test though, I doubt these will be released in any wide capacity. I desperately want those dark red shipping container parts, it being a common colour in the real world for containers. Hopefully a Lego designer can integrate them into a set further down the line.

Maybe volcano explorers with this colour-scheme (which I like), but I doubt that this particular set is going to be widely released; the build is too simplistic when compared to current sets (more wildlife rescue than jungle explorers, IMO).

including 3 interactive minifigures.

I really, really, hope that the only interactive part is the head (or single head-hair/headgear piece), and also that these things test extremely poorly! I do not need talking, battery-powered Minifigs taking over sets! 🤮

It seems that the heads are reversible, so that is not where the sound comes from. I see some tiles (teal/black) that could be sound/interactivity pieces, so maybe the Minifigs “talk” when placed on pressure-sensitive tiles? I hope that is what it is, and not that the torso and legs are moulded together and somehow scan the tiles!

Overall it's not very clear what the interactive stuff does, and the pictures of those glowing geodes don't make it easier, like a fig is holding one too , so if there are actual lights inside those geodes, it's probably using inductive coil (wireless LED power up to a few cm)

I'd imagine some type of power source inside the volcano.

But I think this is a bad idea because I imagine it will inflate price on sets and you still need some Iphone it says.

Where did they reveal the Seaplane, I only saw the crocodile head.

They’re on Instagram right now, fateful_lego posted them I think. The seaplane uses the 3 part bottom-window-cockpit parts that are usually used in city sets. Single seat with a gap in the middle of the plane for I presume the interactive brick. Comes with one figure and also a base camp build. Again, lotta good dark red recolours.

Oh, finally saw them, I have to admit these were the kind of sets we wanted, as all of these offer various landscapes/sidebuilds in a more generous and sized build.

I like the idea of sets like this but I'm curious as to how will this system work. According to LEGO.UK the biggest set includes a wireless charger for the figures.
