Ok that sounds stupid but how can I get that paper pack?

It’s only available in Europe, but looking on bricklink, previous paper packs cost less than $10, but you’ll need to have them shipped from Europe (assuming you live in the u.s) I personally would like to get my hands on the magazines that come with these paper packs.

None of the parts are exclusive, so you can always just order them from PAB or BrickLink now.

Thanks! But I still envy that Europe magazines+minifigure.

Who knows how long they will be avaiable still. They increased in price quite some and I guess for many it might not be worth buying them anymore. Less magazins sold might end up in higher prices though. So not all magazines might survive.

Built the open-top tourist bus set yesterday - I liked the fact the back opens and the revolving front showing the various destinations (four different ones in all - all printed tiles too). Some good building techniques and use of curved bricks. Plus, great minifigure selection and the new pushchair is a very nice and needed addition. The main negatives are the stickers of course - the set doesn't looks as good without any, but I cannot stand stickers and do not use them ever.

Built the new Lego truck set yesterday. Surprising nobody, it's really good. Just a really well-done rendition of a classic subject, with great detail and playability.

Is it 6 stud wide or 8 stud wide?

8 studs wide. But it feels appropriate for the subject. The previous 2010 version was mostly 6-wide but a similar overall width to the new one if you included the wheelbase and mirrors, whereas this one makes much better use of its scale throughout both for interior space and exterior detail.

The access to the interior of the trailer is a big improvement—I remember my little brother packing the earlier version with the boxes and other loose parts that I'd have to pry out, but this new one allows easy access both for the included forklift as well as human hands.

That's understandable. I asked because I'm a town builder so I need to know the width. Right now, 8-stud wide is too big for the vehicle size limit in my town, so I think I'll pass. But its a nice set for kids to play with though, which is obviously the targeted audience.

Has anyone already bought the new harbour?

I'm trying to know the measurements for a project, but can't find anything about it. I just need to know the height of the crane and the yellow building.

The LEGO website mentions the following:

Quote
  • Dimensions – The harbor in this 1,226-piece building set measures over 9.5 in. (25 cm) high, 18 in. (45 cm) wide and 11.5 in. (30 cm) deep

Based on the digital instructions at https://www.lego.com/pt-pt/service/buildinginstructions/60422 I counted that the crane is about 26 bricks and 1 plate high. And the yellow building is about 23 bricks high when you include the flags.

We got a new look at no limits S2

Also, some of the episodes have released for Lego insiders club (basically Lego insiders for kids, if you have an insiders account already, you’re good)

Spoiler

The grey haired criminal is called “the collector”

Ellie (AKA noface) appears briefly in the video above.

there’s an episode showing how bytz and just Jason met, however I can best describe it as one of those “cars mater’s tall tales mini-movies”

the moving van gwp appears in an episode

I find it rather funny that LEGO City has developed a very serious terrorism problem that only ever gets played off as “X-Treme pranks”!! We are so far removed from the Post-9/11 era that No Face planting a bomb on a plane is acceptable for a kids’ series - That would have been unheard of in the 2000’s!

Ahhhh, Wanda, bytz and Mech Max go into Space.

Wanda and Bytz confirmed; Mech Max and Just Jason, not necessarily.

According to Fateful on IG (reliable source), we are getting 20 sets for City in January 2025.

Maybe, but LEGO has been doing a good job of expanding out the city part of City lately, so I imagine that we will get some race cars, food trucks, and other civilian vehicles/infrastructure.
Considering that construction just got an (excellent!) update in 2HY 2024, I can see some smaller construction vehicles in bright light orange with the new Minifigs showing up in January. Medical is also becoming a staple, so maybe we can get an ambulance (we have yet to get one in the new style as a set unto itself).
I would also actually be fine with a bit more police, since we just got a complete redesign of their vehicles and uniforms (more so than fire got), so it is harder to retrofit our existing sets to fit with the new style.

First wave city lego sets (excluding space) were great even police and firemen ones

The last ones, are also great

I hope we have more in the same line

Add some profitable city sets in friends line and we have another problem of empty wallet and lack of space

......and we got our first standalone bus, which according to Lego Store workers, sold like Ford Explorers from the 90s. At least that gives me hope to see another one soon.

I would love that (obviously!), but I am not going to get my hopes up; Space was a megatheme in 2024, so there is no evidence yet that it is becoming a City staple (especially since we got another exploration subtheme in 2HY, as we typically do, with jungle).
