A small leak has surfaced for a short time showing 4 images of lego sets for 2024, and 2 of them were from the City theme

What were the other two pictures about?

A monkie kid mech and a big model of a on owl.

Basically, yes the images appeared on Instagram but the account that showed the image has deleted the post a few seconds after so I couldn't get any screen shots in time.

60433-A big space set composed of several modules that form some kind of a circle, the amount of modules is huge.

Like the space station in the "2001 : A Space Odyssey" ?

Posted

It's like that but with a different position. The circle can connect to the modules, if you know the space station from the 2019 wave, the modules share similar looks and connect the same way. There's a small satellite you can attach to the core structure, I can't say much more because the image had a watermark covering a few parts of the set.

If I remember correctly, one thing I forgot to mention about the 60413 set is this time, this is a normal plane and not water plane/pontoon plane. It includes a system that allows the plane to drop several clear-blue cylinders  from the back of the plane to represent water. I do think that the images don't show the full thing because the space set seemed too small to cost 100€. Hopefully we just have to wait a month to see the official images.

Was it on the legoleaks hashtag on IG ?

No. There's a request from a photo provider to refrain from posting, so you won't find it even if you search with a hashtag.

Thank you. Can you please tell us if it shares the same style design / colours palette from the city space sets of 2022 that will retired soon or is it a different one ?

I'd like to know if these new city space sets were designed in the same spirit as the previous ones (60348 Lunar Roving Vheicle, 60349 Lunar Space Station and 60350 Lunar Reasearch Base).

are there any vechles in any sets?

Most set names seem to indicate vehicles are included, in fact there are only 2 sets that indicate buildings this wave , outside of the Space base/station.

Fire Station (with aerial ladder truck)

Prison Island Police Station (last one had a boat seems likely there as no seperate Police boat set)

https://brickset.com/sets/year-2024/theme-City

And here for a list of retiring 2022/2023 sets :

https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-end-of-life-2023/#lego-city

2022 was a Space, Fire, Police year, so most of that is going to be directly replaced by this Winter 2024 wave. (2022 Police Station / 2023 Academy , and some 2023 vehicles like Fire Command/Boat , Police Dog Unit will remain)

I expect summer 2024 will be focusing on buildings.

Also note that 2022 medical sets are not being directly replaced, just retiring , but perhaps LEGO thinks the Friends hospital will be enough (+ 2024 City Rescue Helicopter and Ambulance+Snowboarder )

City and Friends have alternated Hospital years before:

  • 2017 Friends Hospital
  • 2018 City Hospital
  • 2019 City Ski Hospital
  • 2020 Friends Hospital
  • 2022 City Hospital
  • 2023 Emergency Vehicle HQ
  • 2024 Friends Hospital

Perhaps City will have a themed winter hospital to go with 60366: Ski and Climbing Centre in the summer wave, as the Ambulance+Snowboarder set indicates a winter sport focus, perhaps even with the red/yellow color scheme they used before.

I can see a 2024 service station with Road-plates considering they’ve not done a service station since 2020 unless you count 60389.
I’d like to see a chocolate factory or gym,

It’ll be interesting what 2024 summer sub theme will be considering we got a plane in 2023. We could get an airport with roadplates and a runway too.

Nah! That's just the inside of a building. The last service center we got was in 60292 Town Center in the form of a car wash and a charging station. .

I didn’t think of that, I do predict an airport with a runway though

You think that’ll beat 60380, any predictions on what it could be?

Space station leak is on Reddit!

A pic of the City space station has leaked - I really like it from what I can see! The ring configuration is unique for LEGO, and the modular design is just begging to be expanded; overall, I think this is the best (City) space station that LEGO has made! The colour-scheme is white/orange/sand blue, and the logo appears to be the one from the City space missions set (or a similar one). The station also appears to have a landing platform for a small hoverbike with a design similar to one of the SP3 prototypes (and detachable ships in the Galactic Enforcer). It definitely feels more futuristic than prior space stations, and I can see how we will be getting things like mechs and aliens alongside it. The one major L that I can see is the clear (rather than coloured) canopies - Trans-orange is right there, and it would have made the line feel like a precursor to Mars Mission!

Interesting... looks like the new space sets might be using that new reddish orange color as a significant part of their color scheme? I think it definitely works—feels appropriately spacey.
