I don't care what TLG calls anything on their website - there's nothing written on the packaging or instructions of these, I'll call them whatever I want to.

Eh? Why should they put minifigures’ names on packaging or instruction when it comes to regular CMF? I mean they are called “BLIND BAG/BOX”…

List of names is too long to put on packaging. Names might be hard to arrange for instruction paper under pictures of minifigures. “Series 26 Space” name is good enough for both packaging and instruction.

So the names are offical on the website and Im okay. With that. But you can call your minfigures whatever you want.

But to me the offical names are pretty interesting what Lego calls them. Like…”Imposter”, “Robot Butler”, etc.

Speaking of which, I always thought it was officially spelled "M:Tron" with a colon, not "M-Tron" with a hyphen.

Various websites tend to mostly use a dash/hyphen, you could say it's because the colon is not a valid character for file names. The logo has 2 offset triangles between the 'M' and the 'TRON', so I think using a colon is accurate. The catalogues had a colon.

I remembered it that way too! Glad I'm not crazy after all.

In typical online style, the following page shows every possible manner of hedging-your-bets:

LEGO 6862 Secret M:Tron Space Voyager | Brickset

I guess the actual official set name had the colon.

jbspielwaren on instagram has detailed shots of all 12 characters uploaded - including disassembled so you can fully see all the elements.

There are some pretty cool details visible in the pics that you can’t see in the official shots - like the head of the insectoid alien becomes transparent towards the back and the Ice Planet Explorer has a fur collar printed under her armor. They also confirm that the antennae and hair on the Robot Imposter are separate parts and the Retro Space Girl’s robot dog is sliver instead of grey (she also seems to have metallic eyeshadow, very chic).

I love everything about the Alien Beetlezoid. Just an amazing headpiece and how it  does become translucent towards the back. Perfect.

I understand that there is nothing we talk/discuss about but it’s April 15. Which it means we have about 16 days left. I would be happy if Series 26 is out in the wild here in USA a bit earlier than May 1.

Several members of my LUG have found some in a local grocery store chain this past week, a subsidiary of Krogers.

LUG?

Lego Users Group, organizations for AFOLs to meet up and collaborate with other local AFOLs. Some LUGs are registered with Lego to receive certain benefits like support for collaborative displays, which are called RLUGs (Registered Lego Users Groups).

Excellent, the sooner people start finding them in the wild, the sooner we start getting data on this set of data matrix codes.

I hope the larger, useful codes make their way to Australia this time.

It will be interesting to see if people still find a mix of large and small codes elsewhere as these start to pop up. Our releases down under have been a month later ever since 2020.

Has this series been demonstrated to have useful codes? Wouldn't surprise me if TLG repeated what they did when they found out we worked out the early series.

The only series 25 boxes I saw were at Coles, and if that code is the large one I'd hate to see how small the small code is. Consequently I didn't try scanning it.

Yes Series 26 has large codes so far in Europe and the US.

Australia got exclusively small codes for Series 25.

I highly doubt that. Since you can see when those packs were packed, it was also easy to see when which codes were printed on them. And only the early manufactured boxes had the small codes, while all the later boxes had the big ones. My guess would be, that since they still need to get shipped to Australia those were made first, resulting in your country having only the small codes. But for this year there shouldn´t be such a thing as small codes (unless Lego changes them again ofc).

Found a mostly complete box a few days ago at a Walmart.  Most of the codes were readable but the prints were blurry on a few that made them difficult to impossible to read.  Still ended up with a normal distribution absent the ones previously purchased by someone else.  I also tracked weights in case they do go back to small codes but I doubt that will happen.

Pictures don’t do several of the figs justice.  Aside from the alien tourist and imposter figs I’m really digging the series and will probably load up on several (ice planet, m-tron, and blacktron especially).

Can you see if the Ice Planet helmet fits with the classic airtanks? The back seems flat enough, but interference is definitely possible (as with the City Space mining helmets).

Awesome!
Would you mind posting some pics of the Minifig with white airtanks in place of the armour?

Thought I had a few IP figs handy, found them and did a little swapping around. Check out the link-

sadly, seeing the new fig next to the old makes me even more sad they got rid of trans neon orange.
