First of all...

1.) What kind of LOGO was there (2019) space faction?

If it was not similar / same that (2022) faction, then they are not related.

Logo was orange, but not like the Classic Space style:

2019 (Mars/Moon)

60224stk01.jpg

2022 (Mars)

80326pb004.jpg

2022 Moon

15068pb403.png

Also applies to minifigures, 2022 and 2024 both use classic space styled logo on torso's, silver for 2022, and what looks like orange for 2024,  while 2019 used the different orange one.

2019 was a bit of a weird one, as it had a Rover TEST drive set with a City in the background , Artemis like Rocket (named Deep Space Rocket), Lunar Space Station ,and a futuristic Mars Research Shuttle, and that rocket set which was kind of a mix of a Soyuz and SpaceX Starship , it tried to be a lot of things at once. It's kind of tough to put a timeline to that.

Current Timeline
CITY Space 2019 -> Building rockets to get to space
CITY Space 2022 -> Reaching the moon and discovering crystals
CITY Space 2024 -> Using the crystals as an energy source to reach a planet within our solar system. Discovering aliens and botanical energy

Rough ideas for the future of City Space
CITY Space 20?? -> Building a monorail to transport crystals (Futuron homage??)
CITY Space 20?? -> Using the botanical+crystal energy source to travel to a planet beyond our solar system? (Ice Planet homage??)
CITY Space 20?? -> Mining for crystals in Space? (Power Miners/ Rock Raiders homage??)
CITY Space 20?? -> Constructing a permanent space base? (M-Tron homage??)
CITY Space 20?? -> Space Police 4??
CITY Space 20?? -> Discovering hostile aliens??
CITY Space 20?? -> There's a rouge AI/ robots become hostile. (Spyrius homage??)

I think the "mining for crystal in Space" would continue with the mech, with addition of other vehicles.

I would say the upcoming base is permanent, but more base sets are welcomed, especially if they connect with the space air-lock system

The Monorail needs to happen. I'm hoping this Space series is a success, popular and continues(with out rebooting) for many years. This Space series is a perfect way to bring back the Monorail.

Noticed that the insectoid alien, as well as having an interesting head and possibly neck-piece, seems to have the elytra (hard wing shell) piece that was introduced in the Ladybird/bug CMF. Pretty sure that’s its first reuse.

Regarding this series, I have mixed feelings about it and will pass from getting any from Lego, directly. Half Im not interested. I like the remake of M Tron, BlackTron II, and Ice Planet, however if this is  a hint for upcoming  sets, then good. If not then it is  a disappointment. If they are going to have new sets, I would be upset if they don't  make more of Classic Space ( '78-'88) and BlackTron I sets.

If they did a CMF series for Classic Space astronauts  ( '78-'88) with the 11 colors ( making Purple & Grey official) I would be happy and buy multiple sets and even the 6 packs. Because they are good for army building, having duplicates is not a problem. I haven't gotten any of the past series because I don't want duplicates.

Each figures could either  come with two accessories, ( like walkie talkies, hammmer, metal detectors etc), but  a few would   have a reissued jet pack instead. Maybe all could come with parts that can be built  into a robot, if you have several sets.

I dont know if they should have a new color or have a BlackTron I minifig for the 12th figure.

Neck piece? Are you talking about the mandibles? I think that those will be part of the head, not a separate jaw element.

Yeah, I can’t honestly make out if it’s a singular headpiece or something more complicated from the blurry image we have. You could well be right

To me, Maybe not a prequel but has a similar vibe. From the multi colors astronauts, no conflict, exploring, mining, and the vehicles. If this series is successful and continues for several waves, it could become a modern Classic Space.

It's more like Aquazone in Space to me, but without rival factions, and the yellow miner figures are like Rock Raiders.

But yeah some Classic Space sets did have gatherers as well, just simpler times meant the things that were found were as simple as 1x1 (6880: Surface Explorer / 6821: Shovel Buggy / 6847: Space Dozer in particular) , the 2024 vehicles are larger, but I think that's fine ,as 2022 City Space had some proper sized moon buggies also.

Both themes involved collecting crystals, returning them to base, to manufacture things (in this case Batteries of various sizes)

It's just not as industrial as Rock Raiders, or something like City Volcano/Miners, as beside 1 big rock wall, most what's found seems to be right on the surface, so the mech set is basicly the biggest wrecking equipment, and the rest is done via hand/robot drills.

Aliens would be basicly the equal to what was Aquazone's native ocean life , ray/octopus/shark (not hostile unless roleplayed as such)

I was not a Space fan but this CMF and the whole range of 2024 Space actually prompted me to delving more into Space. So I think this series might actually have good reach among general audiences. I have just ordered on Bricklink CMF Benny, CMF Space Creature, and CMF Space Police. Regarding the new series, the mutant Blacktron and Insectoid are my favorites. 2024 is a great year to start a Lego Space collection.

I agree with you on that! I’m not a space nerd like Star Wars,  Star Trek, or others. But… in-house Space sets grab my attention and I like City and Technic Space sets as much as I Like this new series!

Definiely Year of the Space for 2024.

Series 26 already wow!

I actually do like most of the figures I’ve seen from the leaks by the way. It took me a while to notice that the black tron figure has one of those double arm pieces that’s a fun Idea

Wow, how did I overlook this happening?

Honestly, they're all pretty ugly. It's remarkable that they can bring back the classic Space figures just simply changing the uniform colors and is treated positively. But then they take the sub-Space themes and they have to 'add personality ' or make drastic changes to their style.

Ice Planet is my favorite space series, and the visor was a big part of that. I haven't studied too closely, but I would have preferred simply giving them a new torso, maybe add some paint to the helmet, but keep the basic proportions the same.

The Flying Saucer head figure looks like his head is under a glass pastry bowl. Make that figure! Make Pastry Head Bowl Man!

I kind of like the M-Tron figure, but it's still missing that classic charm.

The Incognito Alien might work in another wave. Seems weird to say that an alien would fit in with a bunch of other random figures.

The "Current" astronaut is okay, but just seems like something they could release in an actual set.

The Blacktron figure is especially hideous. I have no idea what they were going for there. Here's a chance to play into their 'sinister' background, but mutates? What? I just want to burn it.

Quite honestly, the rest of the figures are so bland that they fall under the typical skippable figures I would've not bought anyways (ogres, princesses, sports figures).

He is supposed to be partially-mutated.
My main issue with the Blacktron mutant is that they combined two good concepts (Blacktron II remake, mutated astronaut) into one mediocre ‘fig; there is no way to make a normal Blacktron II update (due to the asymmetrical legs), but the mutated aspect also feels very tame (I would have liked to see some damaged suit printing on the torso and a new moulded head).

Yeah, there's gonna be some part swapping to redeem that guy and make multiples viable

Yeah, that's why I don't want the torso to have anything identifying him as a mutant. It'll make it easier to partswap into a normal fig.

I was right that Space CMF is Seires 26 after all,  just like with Series 14 the Monsters.

Series 14 - Monsters

Series 18 - Birthday / Costume Party

Series 23 - Costume Party

I don’t understand why you don’t want Blacktron to be a mutant? I mean, have you watched sci-fi movie? Like an astronaut hosting an alien parasite, like one from Prometheus movie.

I think the bummer there is that you won't be able to make a regular Blacktron fig. There is only that left leg with that print. I don't think there is any other minifig with that leg to complete a normal Blacktron fig.

I want to army build them but I like to have variety in my armies. Them all being mutants is kinda boring to me, so I'd really like it if the torso didn't have anything indicating it's a mutant so I can make a variety of figs with it.

The issue is that the legs prevent a non-mutated Blacktron II Minifig from being made with the pieces. I would have preferred to get a plain Blacktron II astronaut and a mutated City astronaut as separate Minifigs (instead of mutated Blacktron and a NASA spacesuit).
