  • I have no doubt there's gonna be a new classic space colour hidden here somewhere, I would love either light blue, pearl gold or a new way to get black.

None of them are Classic Space unless you count the pink space baby. I'll have to get my hand on that CS space baby.

I strongly suspect that the reason none are CS minifigures is that a whole bunch will appear in an Everyone Is Awesome type set but with CS astronauts.

The Orion minifigure looks cool as an addition to my fantasy minifigures. I get the source, but it's more mythological than sci-fi.

If it makes you feel better, I got a bunch of the Orange dudes from Bricklink and they weren't very expensive.

What do you consider to be “not very expensive”? I only see them for minimum $17-$18 (new).

It'll be interesting to see if that chainsaw really is trans neon orange (new version or not), or some cop-out like trans pink or trans orange.

Trans-pink is unlikely, but trans-orange is a possibility.

Wtf

Lets wait for better pics because these are just not doing it for me

What a year.... with S25 and this one 2024 might be the worst year yet for CMF

Well, you don't know what the September series is. If it's Fortnite, it could easily raise it up.

I hope so, but I think that we would have heard rumours of such a set by now, since June would be the obvious release month.

This was pretty soon after the book came out, so I wanna say less than $10, but honestly I can't remember.

Woah! I completely missed that, somehow.

I am curious about what the upper part of the Ice Planet guy’s torso looks like; I hope that it will have a logo, fur collar, and other details that make the figure usable even without the armour.
Also, the mutated Blacktron II guy’s right leg might be digitigrade.

That's true. Though if it does happen we would get a spaceman in light blue. Maybe the lighter green too but they would just do the standard green one instead.

I figured I would love this Series! Shocked we already got a leak, Series 23 just got revealed! Shows how ahead of schedule they always are in production

Human suit for small aliens - In hindsight its obvious they would use the trophy piece for the “little aliens” still I was hoping for a new head mould on the baby piece or a new mould altogether for the little people. Still a very fun concept and excited to see clearer images of this

Space cook ? - Looks like the chef working at the space prison the Space Police took Brick Daddy to.

Classic spacewoman - surprisingly exciting gender rehash. Fun colors and prints. Dog was a nice touch

M Tron redux - possibly top 3 of this series

Alien in UFO costume - the body print is perfect its a shame they wasted it on that wacky green face and tacky “UFO” neck element. Should have had that cosmic space print on his face and have another cosmic being ala the 11th figure on this list

UFO tourist - so cute my current favorite

Squid alien - kind of out there but thats exactly the type of creative liberty I wanted to see them take this Series

Modern space man - boring waste of a slot. Give us a conceptual futuristic or retro futuristic astronaut but this is just too literal and boring compared to everyone else

Ice Tron redux - looks like a transformer so cool need him in my collection instantly

Blactron mutated soldier - Love blacktron but would have preferred a Black suit guy you could army build

“Orian” best figure of the series I take back what I said about the tourist this guy is the best. Perfection

Space babysitter - going back and forth on whether or not I want to get her. There’s appeal but it’s also so redundant. We’ll see

There may be some details on the reverse of the head (just speculating).

It is a bug, not a squid.

I think that she is a nurse (it looks like she may have the medical insignia on her chest).

Oh i am really digging some of the figures.  Even if the pic is blurry, i know that i want the human mech (with tiny aliens). I want the retro space girl (the dog could’ve been a bit cooler with a helmet though). I want the alien/robot/human chef on rollerskates (weird legs? new?). I’d like to get multiples of the insectoid alien. Everyone needs at least one Grey visiting our lego cities. Ufo guy is cool, but if they had changed his head print into like a whole alien instead of a head it would be more like an ufo hovering in space (will get him and maybe give him a new head).

i probably want the space penguin as well, but first i want to see him less blurry. Mutated alien/human is also a must, even if i don’t really like the design. But has he the double arms piece or what is going on there? Maybe it’s just a big weapon instead of two weapons?

and the orion warrior defending himself with the Dimensions shields is cool too. Didn’t the bad guy in Dimensions also have like a universe body?
robot nanny is super cool as well.

Ergo; i need to buy me a box

What is particularly maddening is that they did not even give him a visor in another colour! I can only hope that this is a mistake due to this being some kind of preliminary showcase, and that we are getting a trans-neon green visor in the final figure! There is actually precedent, as Jordana’s hair in the Ninjago sets shown to DuckBricks was orange instead of the finalised dark red.

It looks to me like they have HUD-style face printing in place of a molded visor, like the heads of the Series 7 Galaxy Patrol and Series 13 Galaxy Trooper figures. I can't say I'd be too bothered by this, but I realize that not being able to swap in other heads with different facial features is a real bummer for "army building" or character customization.

Series 25 is not bad
Not much here for me as expected, but what about for the Spacefans? I have no interest in it so hard to tell for me, however the series compromised between Space and figs for children and looks a little too far away from classic Space to me?!

Truth be told, I wouldn't say that the sillier figs are any more "for children" than those representing old-school LEGO space factions — especially since some of those like the retro space girl and little green men are modeled on very "old-fashioned" sci-fi archetypes in their own right. My impression is more that the series is tailored to space/sci-fi fans in general, not just to fans of "LEGO Space" specifically. But even so, four or five figures out of a series of 12 that represent previous LEGO Space factions is not a bad ratio at all, by my reckoning.

Honestly, Tr. Bright Orange would be fine by me — that's a pretty small change in the grand scheme of things, and certainly an easier change to adapt to than Blacktron going from Tr. Yellow to Tr. Fluorescent Green in the 90s. I've certainly seen plenty of clever Ice Planet MOCs over the years that use both colors to great effect.

I'd assumed one big weapon, but hadn't even considered the possibility of using the double arm piece. That would certainly be a very neat choice for a figure like this one!

Yes, i was hoping for that piece. Makes him a better fig.

i also hope the antenna of the human mech is detachable, so we can make like a whole city taken over by mini aliens

My top five:

- insect allen

- human mech/ tiny aliens

- visiting grey

- orian

- retro space girl

I am not sure what I should think about those. It is a quite early leak and I do like some of that minifigures like the Ice Planet guy but there are also some I don´t like at all like the Spacegirl with dog and whatever that first figure is supposed to be. I will definitely need better pictures. All in all I was expecting more from the series.

Come to think of it, the Ice Planet helmet reminds me of the Star Trek Breen, from planet Breen which has more mentions of it being cold / frozen wasteland, and just 1 claim it was "rather temperate" (all from Star Trek Deep Space Nine) .

Actual planet was never visited, and the species was never seen without helmets either.

Huh, that leaked surprisingly quickly. Leak photos of Medieval Town Square next, please! (Though I fully know neither we nor the leakers have total control over that).

I have a lot of feelings towards this series like I would a "normal" licensed series. It seems to mostly cater towards a very niche audience within the Lego community, but unlike something like The Simpsons or The Muppets, I don't see a lot of appeal here for those who are outside of Lego... Especially in a blind box format. However, even if you aren't totally into the older space series (like me), there might be a handful of ones that might interest you. Anyways, my thoughts:

  1. A better photo might improve my opinion a little but, but this one isn't really selling the "small aliens inside a big alien" story to me at a glance. The legs and torso also seem a bit boring. Antenna is an interesting touch. Pass for me, though.
  2. Odd that this guy is chef-inspired, and it looks like he might have on some skates to make him taller and could possibly use the legs from Doctor Rathbone from Monster Fighters, but is (EDIT: Looking again, I think the legs are new... Possibly one piece?) Still doesn't interest me. Another pass.
  3. Why would they not bring back the nifty retro gun that the original Space Hero had, and instead give her this overused one?! Wasted potential on that accessory. I also think she maybe could have been given a cape - I'll probably give her one if I end up purchasing one. Maybe for me.
  4. I have no connection to the old space themes, so the impact of this guy is probably a bit lost. based on what I see, though, nothing overly interesting. Pass.
  5. From the list last night, I assumed the UFO would be around the waist like most of the other costumed minifigs, but being around the neck is unique. Maybe.
  6. A bland, filler character that could have been from any series. I think the Classic Alien from Series 6 did this classic alien look much better. Easy pass.
  7. The first one I like! Glad to see the Faun legs continuing to get used. Interested to see what he would look like in a higher-quality photo. Kinda reminds me of those spider-morphed people from The Orville. On my wishlist.
  8. I can't knock it too hard since it does seem to be accurate for real-life, modern astronauts, but to my casual eyes, it looks almost identical to dozens of other ones the City line has produced for several years. Pass for now... Might be a maybe with better pictures.
  9. Like the M-Tron guy, I don't have any connections to the older themes, so a lot of this (especially things like the orange chainsaw) don't mean much to me. I've always liked penguins, but it's hard to get a read on this one. Pass for now.
  10. Another bland, uninteresting character to me. Feels like the newly-leaked half-Venom characters from Marvel, where the transformation feels a little forced and only half-baked. Pass. (EDIT: On closer look, I can now see that he does have a faun leg and double arms on the green side of his body, but it's still a bit of a hodge-podge for me).
  11. Poor Orion is going to break his back carrying this series. Fantastic idea, looks pretty good, and what looks like a new weapon, and his constellation on his shield?! Easy MVP of the series; would love to see follow-ups in either future series or even in a stand-alone set with other similar heroes/gods. I wonder is the club will show up in Medieval Town Square, it would be a shame to just have it here. Wishlist, will try to get a couple if possible.
  12. So, combine EVE from Wall-E and Pixal from Ninjago's designs, and make her a nurse? Sure, I guess. Pink space baby carries this one - another bland and uninteresting minifig for me. Grumpily wishlist just for space baby.

So, three on my wishlist, two maybes, and pass on the other seven. Again, Orion is the only super strong standout for me, but overall I just might not be the target for this series. If it's everything you've been wanting since the original themes retired, though, more power to you!

Somewhat clearer pics are on Reddit!

The Human suit has a cockpit window with alien pilot head print, the robot’s legs are a new part, the Vacaylien has normal arms and hands (I thought it might have new ones 😕), the bug elite has magenta detailing, and the Ice Planet astronaut does have an orange visor (still not sure if moulded or printed, and if the entire helmet is a single part or just the faceplate).

Omg. I want them all. Though, the Astronaut is too much like the previous one we got in a past CMF series. They could have giving us a futuristic Astronaut, maybe navy blue or a black spacesuit with metallic coloring.

I was hoping for Alien Conquest to get some love with a new ACU guy or Alien (still not over wave 2 being cancelled haha).

I think the stand out here for me is the little Grey Visitor blending in, in human clothes. That guy will easy fit into a Lego City display which is what I mostly use CMF figures for.

Kinda disappointed at this CMF Series. I was hoping for different colored Classic Space minifigures and M-tron, Blacktron I&II, Futuron, Ice Planet, Spyrius, Space Police I, II, III etc. And not random abstract figures like Orion, human suit with nanofigures etc.

This series is pretty wild! I admit I'm disappointed that it doesn't include a new Classic Space color; I really thought that would be a given. I was also hoping for a Seatron figure, but that was always going to be a long shot. My favorite is probably the pink and purple retro space figure, the tourist alien is really fun too, and I'd like to try using the body of the UFO costume figure to make a Singularity figure for Marvel!

I can't imagine that a series like this would ever have included more than one Classic Space minifigure, regardless of selection. Most collectible minifigures series put a lot of emphasis on variety, and so including several figures that can all be described as "astronaut in [insert faction here] uniform", especially if you can fill in the blank on multiple minifigures with the same faction.

As it is, while the figure selection does have several astronaut characters, they all portray different archetypes/concepts beyond just superficial differences in their uniforms. There's an astronaut in an EVA suit, a cold-weather astronaut, a mutant astronaut, a pulp sci-fi heroine, etc. They're the sort of designs that could feel interesting/distinctive even to somebody who has no familiarity whatsoever with classic LEGO space logos/colors/factions.
