I legit love that the hound groomer has a new cochlear implant hair piece! And that it comes in a reverse version and different colour in the burger van set. Great inclusivity by Lego.

Arguably three characters in s25 with recognisable differing abilities: cochlear implant on dog groomer, prosthetic legs on athlete, and plaster/ eye patch on Train kid.

So I think the hound-trimmer's new hairpiece incorporates something like a cochlear implant, though you can only see a tiny hint at it on the CMF images on the right side of the head.

What's weird is that the hairpiece looks the same-ish as the one I'm seeing in the new Burger Van, except they seem to be mirror images of each other, so I don't know what's going on.

Oops missed this. I don’t think it’s a render issue - think it’s a deliberate introduction of the cochlear implant piece for either ear at the same time.

What could be the price of the goat from the new cmf on the market between individuals ? I'd like to get 6-8 for my goatherd.

I think it’s a bit early to speculate

Very hard to guess anyways. The old one is very expensive, so people might speculate on that - but we also know there will be a new one that will be avaiable through Pick a brick, so people might not be willing to spend that much for it.

On this, I think most people can agree on that. Now whither a new Willa CMF?

Or a Witch’s Windship GWP? 🤔

Yeah on closer inspection, the two are different and the hair swoosh goes a different direction on each. Just interesting both pieces have such a similar sort of style of hair to them!

Basil is my favorite. But that mushroom capped minifigure is so cute too.

And I still hate that they're in boxes. I was at Walmart the other day and I guess some went crazy for black Friday because there were over 10 boxes of  Marvel S2 just opened and mostly empty. A shame that LEGO went with boxes.

I don't buy a lot of CMFs, but I like the updated Basil the Batlord. I may get that one.

Are these supposedly in-stores already? I am surprised nobody has posted an actual photo yet.

I agree.  On one hand, I know that the reasoning they gave was to save on plastic in favor of cardboard, which I think is good, but on the other hand, I also don't really buy that reasoning.  First off, they've been "switching over" from plastic to paper bags for, what, like five years now?  As far as I'm aware, the paper bags have only shown up in a handful of sets, so I feel like if they really were making the step to get rid of plastic bags, they'd prioritize the plastic bags in sets first, given that they likely produce far, far more of those than CMF bags.  Second, the bags had an actually viable and accurate method for determining what's inside, but it's not one that everyone could do.

A casual collector or kid likely isn't going to be able to feel the difference between parts the same way that a more experienced buyer could, but my hunch is that they feel that putting the figures in boxes and thus making them essentially impossible to tell what's inside (I know, I know, there's the scale method, but it's not 100% accurate, and realistically, how many people are going to either bring the scale to a store with them or buy a bunch of figures, take them home, weigh them, and return the ones that they don't want?), they're going to sell more.

I haven't seen theft, but that's another argument for the bags, because it seems like these boxes would be way easier to open and steal the contents.  The bags were actually quite tough to open unless you had scissors.

My hope is that this has actually negatively impacted sales to the point where they'll switch back to bags.  Realistically, it's probably not likely, but I know that in the action figure world, Hasbro switched over to a plastic free packaging method for their black series figures (which makes more sense than this does, because you're not blind-buying a figure the same way these are blind boxes), and I guess enough people complained that they're going back to the packages having a blister.

They are supposed to get sold in January, so would expect the first to get sold towards end of the month.

Unlikely at this point. We had just one Series yet, and honestly I think that one would have sold bad even with the old bags. The next series however might have more of an influence in this regard - and then there might be the sellers that might complain to lego if their boxes end up opened. But they might just put them in cases. (Actually some shops already even had the blindbags in cases)

Two minifigures wiht disabilies in one series! What a great step! I’m really happy that there is CI (cochlear implant) included, rather than hearing aid. It’s becuase I’m deaf and I am wearing CI. I’m pleasantly surprised with this hairpiece.

True, it’s up to you to interpret as “temproary” OR ‘permanent” disability.

If we are ever to allow the Acorn Boy to have some happiness, the we better allow him to have a companion. I don't mid her. She can mingle with the other Forest persons. LOL

Oni (Japanese demon or demon-god)

Kyudoka (master archer)

Itamae (ramen chef)

Japanese man wearing a yukata, perhaps wearing a moulded geta

Doubt Lego will touch this but, perhaps a gosu-rori

Ultraman

Sailormoon

I completely agree! This Mushroom girl fits in very well with Forest creatures and adds lore to the Fantasy realm we otherwise would not have seen coming. I find her simultaneously obvious yet refreshing and original for a concept. Something I appreciate in modern (and previous as well) CMF Series.

Also major yes to your CMF ideas!! We basically got Red Sonja "rip off" in this new Series, that Red Ranger from Series 19 is obviously an unlicensed Power Rangers reference, I always thought if Lego were to keep this going I'd wat to see a Sailor Moon type girl. I have been waiting for that, I believe Ash n Flash or someone who does those very detailed CMF renders depicted a "Streamer Girdle's" with a pink hair piece which was very much a nod to Sailor Moon. It looked amazing!

Having said that I wanna give my opinion on the new official reveal and all the figures.

Harpy - Probably my favorite of the Series. Saw a video from Ash n Flash and agreed with most of what he said but he seemed to find this concept boring which I find so odd? We rarely get Greek Mythology figures and when we do they tend to be some of the best. Think Medusa, Minotaur, etc. Not only did they give her this purple color scheme which makes her look dark and mystical, the concept itself is so out of left field. I would have expected Zeus, Cupid, Hercules or even Hades before a Harpy figure. I'd expect Sirens before a Harpy. Paired with her color scheme and she is standout.

Red Sonja - Love how masculine and tough her expression is. Love the sword. These lear images do her justice.

Double amputee- Love the coloring on his suit, his hair piece is not new I believe

Nothing new to say about the Detective, Dog Groomer, Mushroom Girl, Shephard or even Basil, as I enjoyed them from the jump. That said..

Train Suit boy - I was already tired of costume figures but clear images only confuse me more on his face print. Why is his eye like that? Seriously I don't understand. Confused me more.

Gamer girl - Only new though is I do enjoy her Lion Knights track suit but given the quality of modern city figures, this did not need to be a CMF figure. Weak concept and decent figure, should ave just been in a city set, does not belong.

Workout woman - Horrible tattoo imo. The leaves are purple why? And the shape does not even look like a leaf! It looks like the feather piece that goes with the S8 Pirate and S9 Knight. Plus the blue and purple on her arm clash with the salmon colored top. Plus no new moulds. I was initially on the fence for her but ultimately will just choose to skip her.

Triceratops suit guy - I know I said I'm tired of suited figures but he is the very best costumed figure they have ever made, probably challenged only by the Series 5 Lizard Man or the S19 Pizza Suit guy. It's my personal taste but he does it the best.

If I get any of the 3 figures I plan on skipping I would sell them. I straight up do not want the Train Boy or ugly tattoo lady in my collection lol ! I may end up just sticking to Bricklink while the boxes are around. One thing that bothers me about that is that most sellers place the interior contents into a separate plastic bag? For space purposes in storage that makes sense but there are surprisingly few sellers who sell it how I like it. Where they open the box to see who it is, then reseal or retake it so you're essentially getting the full product you'd get from the store with a similar experience of "opening" it. Wish more sellers just closed the box and sell it to you as if it were fresh from the shelf, but props to the few sellers that do!

Also sorry for the long response its been minute lol

Honestly, when I saw the mushroom girl, I thought that she and the acorn boy, plus the CMF fairy from a while back (copycat Tinkerbelle) would go well together!!!

Funny you bring up that Fairy! We talk about tropes they can add to, and while we mentioned Japanese cultural figures, and the Power Rangers as ongoing tropes they can do, the Fairies would be just as exciting. We still need a tooth fairy for starters. But we also have so many different wing moulds in circulation. The Bumblebee girls wing, the Beetles/Blue Beetles wing piece, the new Tinkerbell/Vidiyo fair wings, the new cmf Butterfly wings from Series 17, and the plastic wings they gave to Wasp in the new Avengers tower. I'd love a Lego take on the Power Rangers, but an unlicensed Winx Club or Disney Fairies situation would be awesome. And lots of wing moulds to choose from to keep things exciting.

@Kit Figsto i agree. maybe they're still testing out paper bags to see how they're being received. I just find it sad to see boxes destroyed empty and with pieces missing.

Ripping blind box’s apart is not new. I remember when I was younger, I saw Bioncile blind boxes ripped open in Walmart (those boxes only contained masks). I would insider it unacceptable. I really like an idea that TLG ditching plastic blind bags for environmental reasons. But I think paper bags are the great idea, although it may be little tricky to “feel” what is inside.

I think blind boxe could have a classic window with trans clear material, allowing you to peek inside the boxes without ripping them open.

Maybe i am wrong, but i think with paper bags it would be impossible to feel which minfig is inside unless there is a big distinctive part inside. The paper would be much thicker than the plastic foil and more stiff. I will try it with the next magazine paper bag i'll get in my hands.

I am not a gambling addict and i just wish Lego would have an artwork that would suggest which minfig is inside the bag, like with every other product. I have not bought a minifig from the latest Marvel series and i don't plan to get any from the upcomming CMF.

I like that idea but, sadly it’s unlikey for TLG to do different artwork for individual minifigure.  It would cost 12 different artwork a lot. “Genera” artwork is a traditional for CMF since you don’t know what is inside.

Maybe add a number  under “Series 25” logo? Like 1, 2, 3, 4…11, 12 to match the minifigures’ numbers on a folded paper inside the blind box?

I wasn't going to buy any either, but then I found BL sellers selling the Marvel CMF brand new for less than full retail price, so figured I might as well. Hopefully it'll be the same with this series.

I guess that's still supporting LEGO's deplorable move to true blind boxes to some degree, but at least it isn't gambling or wasting money on my end.
