I dont know if this means anything

Curious!

The silloutettes are interesting. While not immediately suggestive of any specific types of figure(s) (i.e. no distinctive headgear, ears, horns, antennae etc), it does prompt a couple of thoughts:

  • Can we infer anything from the 'naked' minifigure head on the far left?  Figures with no hair or hat pieces are unusual in CMFs so it immediately make me think of the Series 1 Demolition Dummy and Super Wrestler (luchadore) figures.
  • The looping 'arm' shape immediately below may be the hair of a figure with pigtails (perhaps the Lego Batman Movie CMF Series 2 Harley Quinn hairpeice?)
  • The bulbous shaped head (centre-left) could be a costume fig or perhaps some type of new helmet. Perhaps a  'scrum-cap' worn by rugby football players?
  • The shape on the far right of the image reminded of the Series 16 Rogue but on closer inspection I think it is different.

How about the little hat people wear with their national costume in Bolivia - that would be so cool !

I would very much like some Andean figures but not just one, which would be rather useless on its own. Would a llama be too big for the CMF line?

The silhouette of the middle figure looks like a Big Fig to me - ogre or troll?

Hmm…you might make a good point about llama being big. However, we have foal, dolphin, and BMX bike - they are (not too) big for CMF. I’m not sure about the blind box - there is a lot of space for minifigure parts along with accessories and animals to fill in.

Probably; they should be somewhere between the sizes of the foal and horse moulds.

I highly doubt that bigfigs will appear in CMF lines; they would not fit into the boxes, and they cost more to make (so LEGO would not be able to include them without bumping the price up).

Now thanks for reminding me about horse, I just remember there was a centaur in CMF a few year. That centaur’s lower horse body is almost as a regular horse’s size (with its head, of course).

Say, llama could be possible for CMF.

A llama at the size of the centaur would work, since that is sufficiently smaller than a horse. Maybe there is a chance? We did get a dolphin once. 🤔

Agreed so my fingers crossed for llama! Really, I’m good with any new animal mold.

They could probably include a baby llama... then there is an excuse for them to make a mama or papa llama included in a later set. Case in point, turtle.

Hmm… Maybe? I realie something…

Both baby animals from past series (sea turtle from Series 20 and horse foal from Series 22) did accompany with City’s summer subthemes.

2020 - Series 20 had sea turtle in Jan and City had “Ocean Exploration” subtheme later that year

2022 - Series 22 had horse foal in Jan and City had “Farm” subtheme later in that year

Cria/llama or other baby/adult animals could show up in Series 25 and will accompany Cty’s unknown summer subtheme next year! Just my wild guess.

Oh and that sea turtle in Seires 20 was not exaclty baby tho…

A llama foal would be doable I guess. But the centaur body was actually a part of that minifigure, while it would be additional to the minifigure in that case. I am actually not sure it would even fit in the box (considered it is machine packed and that one will always need some more space to pack them). Once the foal llama exists however I think it would just be a matter of time till we would see an adult one in a city set together with a foal in new colour.

I just hope Lego does what they tested in Denmark for the Marvel series and release the full series so people don’t have to waste so much money. I guess they do this so no one just gets everything they want right away and we all spend money trying to find what we want. Its good for business if you buy into it, but I may just stick to Bricklink if they don’t release the full set. If anything that may help sales of full boxes because resellers will buy full cases and people like me will buy the figures we want from them. But I used to love the process of feeling bags and being exciting when I got it right. Which was basically always after my 3rd to 4th Series I collected, many many years ago. So strange I will likely not be able to recreate that moving forward. The entire dynamic of collecting figures changes for me then. And looking at my collection, CMF figures take up the largest chunk of figures in my collection but also my display setup. Seeing how large a role cmf plays in my collection I hope Lego makes it approachable for fans like me to keep this up.

Llamas are cool, don't get me wrong, but TLG would most likely go for an animal they haven't made that would be more popular and recognizable with the kids, like wolves or zebras

Mmmm, counterpoint, wasn't there a Party Llama minifigure in the Vidiyo wave? While wolves and zebras are popular and much requested by AFOLs, a llama isn't out of the question since kids know the animal exists. Not saying I'd want one over a wolf or zebra, just throwing it out there that a llama is on Lego's radar.

I'd really love a kangaroo, though.... :)

A bigfig in CMF would be very interesting for us to see. But I think a bigfig will blow up a budget for CMF series, not enough money tomake another molds for other 11 minifigures.

Not only was there L.L.A.M.A. in Vidiyo, and the llama suit costume, and excluding the llama figures and sets in Minecraft, they also recently did a range of llamas/alpacas in different colours for Friends.

Someone at LEGO thinks llamas are popular.

I would love to see both of them actually. But I don´t think, that a llama is actually that unlikely in general.

I still contest that those Friends ‘llamas’ look a lot more like alpacas

They are called an alpaca in at least one set. Although the difference at this scale is minimal enough that they could otherwise be either.

Llamas and alpacas differ in more than just size though. Llamas have proportionally longer necks that bow a bit and longer, straighter hair, while alpacas necks are shorter and straighter and they’ve got fluffy wool that noticeably frames their faces. Thus, the Friends animal is an alpaca.

I think its time to introduce the mid sized torso piece depicted for Mr Incredible in the Lego Incredibles game. This would work not only for the CMF figure but also licensed figures such as Mr Incredible (obviously), Colossus and more. With the larger size these boxes provide, just that torso piece should be a reasonable use of the budget. Not that I really know how that works though, lol.

And talks of a new animal mould are nice and all, but I just really want then to release the entire series the way they tested in Denmark for Marvel Series 2. I don’t want to waste money how I did for this Series. Enjoy the experience of buying CMF figures in store and wouldn’t want to resort to Bricklink exclusively moving forward, though I might.
