Based on the significantly higher set number for the recolor, I'd guess it was added to the lineup rather late. Probably after the 2025 numbers were assigned to sets?

If the list is true... Release April first with this strange number can be also Aprils fool

You are absolutely right - 42175 seems to be the most promising set if the list is true, and luckily the 2 years Volvo brand continiuous again

I was looking back through my Earthmovers mags and found the EC230 splashed across the front page of the September '23 issue, along with a gigantic in-depth article!

Anyway, I wonder what bucket is gonna be used, based on the scale.

With a high chance the 42172 is the supercar and the 42174 probably is an RC car, we are left with 3 non-cars with more function than drive and steer :D

42175: Highly welcomed! With a reasonable price < 200€, this will be a very early buy for me. A combo set like 8872 would be my favorite!

42177: The 18+ label suggests a car again? If it's not a car, this should be a flagship-model instead and could maybe mean a Mobile Crane or at least something with bigger wheels :-)

42182: Could be cool, but I already own the 42158, so it's a pass.

Honestly there really isn't much you can do with just the rover for 250$, the lunar rover is a barebones platform with motor, wheels, seats and instruments.

It's similar price-tag to 42114 makes me think it's a Control+ set, but i fail to see where exactly they could fit 2 motors, steering and a technic battery box without looking strongly out of place.

Granted 42114 if released today would be 300$, so the rover would have to be a fair bit smaller, which it should be, because it's almost just a frame on wheels.

The FMX is primarily designed as a tipper, so I'd think the set version would be as well. Hopefully it'll come with rubble!

I think if we get another 1/8 car then second biggest model will not be a car as well. At least this wasn't the case in previous years.

That's a good deal of them, I think recolors are a good way to fill the gaps in the parts palette :)

Wonder if the EC230 is gonna be pneumatic like the EW160E. Or is it gonna use the black LAs from the CAT?

I'm not against pneumatics, but the return of the LAs would be fantastic. Normal or longer, doesn't matter. It's been 3 years since the last one, and before that in every year we got at least 1 set with either of them...
