Too bad a unicorn had to throw up inside and mess it all up. A 10+ set with just 800 pieces and you need this amount of color coding? How dumb does TLG think kids are?

And sorry but, a six spoke wheel at the front and an ugly 5 spoke sticker for the rear is just a slap in the face.

The unicorn thing may not be LEGO's doing. I went vehicle shopping last week and noticed many manufacturer's are producing equally nauseating colorization's of 1:1 models. I walked away from the model I was interested in buying because of the bizarre use of colors inside. Perhaps it's a 'youth' thing that manufacturers have keyed into, but it certainly isn't in my taste.

Really? Brickcatch says that 42175 is a June set.

No, you can see it's available for pre-order on JBS with delivery date set 1.8.2024.

Just got this from one of the LEGO shops in the Netherlands:

Wij hebben

We beginnen eerst met het goede nieuws, het goede nieuws is dat het de McLaren P1 gaat worden ( zie foto van een echt model )

If I translated correctly, the description mentions bad news. What can it be, do you know?

McLaren P1? Wikipedia states it ended production back in 2015, almost a decade ago. This can't be right...

What about Solus GT in the new orange color?

I hope not… without an entirely custom windscreen piece that would look terrible. I for one would prefer a P1, even if production ended a decade ago.

Or Mclaren make new version of  P1 for 10th anniversary.
After some more search, I found P1 spider released 2022 with limited 5.

Lego City news are more functional and good looking than Technic news

I've just seen images of the tracked excavator and the 16-wheels mobile crane, and they are amazing.

Also, of all the 2024 Technics released this far, the Dune Ornithoptre is arguably the most functional and good looking Technic set without the Technic logo on it 😝

And they get all the proportions right. Maybe it's time to go back to studs xD

Not sure what you are referring to.  Real cars really aren't in the business of taking off their panels and allowing customers looking under their skirts.

Lukewarm-take: 42172's reveal is going to coincide with the reveal of the P1's successor. I just can't imagine this set being the P1 itself since its old.
