Based on the significantly higher set number for the recolor, I'd guess it was added to the lineup rather late. Probably after the 2025 numbers were assigned to sets? Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 (edited) If the list is true... Release April first with this strange number can be also Aprils fool Edited January 20, 2024 by Timorzelorzworz Quote

The word "cargo" suggests it might be a truck that carries the excavator, not a tipper truck. Let's wait and see. I hope it will not be too expensive (=below 200 Euro) Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 I was looking back through my Earthmovers mags and found the EC230 splashed across the front page of the September '23 issue, along with a gigantic in-depth article! Anyway, I wonder what bucket is gonna be used, based on the scale. Quote

With a reasonable price < 200€, this will be a very early buy for me. A combo set like 8872 would be my favorite! 42177: The 18+ label suggests a car again? If it's not a car, this should be a flagship-model instead and could maybe mean a Mobile Crane or at least something with bigger wheels :-) 42182: Could be cool, but I already own the 42158, so it's a pass. 14 hours ago, Danke said: 42174 is close parts count to audi RC from last year so the dream for control+ MJ is potentially still alive. MarkyMark42 Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 I'd be surprised if there are two of the same Koenigsegg models in the same release cycle. That seems strange to me. The recolour of the Bollide didn't get released at the same time as the yellow one Quote

I wonder what it'll have Honestly there really isn't much you can do with just the rover for 250$, the lunar rover is a barebones platform with motor, wheels, seats and instruments. It's similar price-tag to 42114 makes me think it's a Control+ set, but i fail to see where exactly they could fit 2 motors, steering and a technic battery box without looking strongly out of place. Granted 42114 if released today would be 300$, so the rover would have to be a fair bit smaller, which it should be, because it's almost just a frame on wheels. 59 minutes ago, Jundis said: What is MJ? At least this wasn't the case in previous years. Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 Wonder if the EC230 is gonna be pneumatic like the EW160E. Or is it gonna use the black LAs from the CAT? Quote

I'm not against pneumatics, but the return of the LAs would be fantastic. Normal or longer, doesn't matter. It's been 3 years since the last one, and before that in every year we got at least 1 set with either of them... Quote
